Heyo, I have read the guide linked in pinned messages, but I'm still confused how IP works. What the max ammount you can build is. I'm trying to design an IP bar for my prot spec, but since I'm still a bit on the side on how it works, it gets a bit hard 😃 (wtb advanced tooltip). I think I'm misunderstanding how IP works, can you not build ontop of old IP's with other IP's?

You can. Not sure on max amount. If you go beyond max (Artifact proccing Dragon Scales) and use another IP, you will lose all of the IP that went over the maximum afaik.

you're almost never going to use any legos outside of gloves/belt/bracers/TWF and maybe AHR
and Arat's for a few M+ bosses and M Vari

Generally speaking Gloves are best ST dmg, bracers are best overall survivability over the course of a fight, trinket is best burst survivability but depending on the cd of what you're trying to soak there are non-legendary options. Belt is arguably the best dps and survivability depending on how many adds, and is generally a very strong option on anything over 2 targets. Other leggos are used in specific circumstances as well.
(But everyone really knows the shoulders are the best leggo)

@ancient ore Impossible for us to measure DPS against ilvl. Our rotations and damage all change with tier, talents, different trinkets, play style and the like. Plus your ilvl could be inflated by say high rings, amulets etc... which have no main stat. Or say on a chest piece which has super high ilvl budget on main stats. TL;DR: Impossible to tell. My advice is start logging and compare your damage to your ilvl%. Anything from 50% on means you are doing better than half of people with the same ilvl

tpc T21 will make the mage tower trivial - particularly because it was designed to have short burst windows and that T21 2 pce is absurd DPS while you have battle cry. I did mage tower at 906 and it was incredibly difficult (114 attempts lol) but also the most rewarding and fun thing I have ever done - and that was in heroic nighthold gear
933 might not be a total cake walk - but with T21 2 pce i'd say it will be if you follow the basic guides (interupts / reflect etc... at the correct time)

@sick sentinel You know how you can get leech, indestructible and avoidance randomly on your gear sometimes? Thats the stat we are talking about. It only takes 4-5 items with it rolled on there to reach the cap. I went and did blizzard item restore and looked at all my DE'd / vendored loot and bought back 2-3 pieces (like my 895 ring lol) to build the set. And it helps ALOT 😃
