Yeah defensively IP has priority for rage consumption and for keystones you generally want to end the encounter as quickly as you can so on multiple target rev/tc are high priority

So, i had to tank for the guild a few weeks back on an easy mode heroic run and I just used my 970 boomkin as guardian... had a really good time but iron fur is always up...
Decided id try tanking on a warrior because i like the abilities better and im burnt on druid, but i feel like guardian is super easy compared to prot.

Basically - the game has what's called "active mitigation checks" where if you aren't using one of your abilities you are meant to take huge damage.
The thing with warriors is just tanking is an active mitigation check because you need IP spam all the time or you will feel like you're getting belted lol
That combined with the fact that somewhat requiring shield block up at key times will cripple you if you mess it up is why warriors are said to be punishing lol

Taking heavy repercussions as well can teach you to maintain shield block better as well as it drops slower and has less down time. So the major abilities you are meant to block will be blocked more
but fairly quickly BV + AM will be the far superior choice
