Just to clarify, T21 4pc isn't as bad as a lot of people think. The information in the article in the pins (which to my knowledge hasn't been updated but I haven't looked at it in a while) is outdated and is from when we thought it only buffed current IPs. It actually will buff the next IP if you don't have one currently active.

Also idk why people say the 60 rage IP thing. I don't really see why it's necessary to use IP at 60 rage when it's (I'm assuming) a stable ratio of rage to absorb. It's off the GCD so it's not like it's interfering with anything. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong there but I just don't see a reason to wait for 60 rage on purpose. Leftover muscle memory from Vengeance to maximize rage savings or something?

You can use Shield Block during time you're not actively tanking as well as long as you don't overdo it. I usually will use it to prevent it from capping charges but not beyond that unless I know I won't need it soon.

one of the method guys is working on a cool addon for stuff like that
gives you a map of the dungeon and all the mobs in it. you can trace out your route and what mobs you kill, and it gives you the % as you go
basically have the entire dungeon mapped out before you even start

the mariner and grimewalker are friggin brutal on higher keys. Grimewalker takes a ton of time and the mariner just chunks. We just skip those guys now

if possible you skip mariner and grimewalker. that just means you pull everything up top with lust on fortified weeks.

you generally dont survive the pull of 4 packs + 2 champions on the upper deck. that's a kite pull. you can outrange the fear casts, and hopefully get interrupts/CC on the other random casts that happen.
the last remaining 2 packs are done separately before the mini-boss.

for me personally stony I use a mouseover shift macro, with charge, and leap on the same key/macro...but for the purposes of warbringer I actually just edit a simple macro with the melee or person I want to use as my warbringer target.
and for discords I'm not sure how popular those alliance/horde M+ communities have but I've also used Mythic Plus Friends..it has a lot of people involved.

ehh...the 940 does have the better 'stats' but less of them, specifically HP which is not to be underestimated. Since it's 10 ilevels, and crit...vs -10 ilevels and versa...I'd go with the higher ilevel neck.

Crit is garbage but parry is actually quite powerful; so overall I'd lean on the 950 neck.

I'm seriously considering moving my enchants over to mastery though
with various gear loadouts I'm hovering from 32 to 36% haste..and it barely shaves fractions of seconds off anything; and I believe my gcd is long maxed. ...but it's the same boat, it equates to -1000 haste, for +1000 mastery..and having actually 'tested' the stat shift with swapping trinkets around.....it's bleh

I retired the DMC in place of it.
the DMC has the 'potential' for more armor...but statistically has less I think about 50% of the time; and the str difference is utterly banaynays

the dmc still sits in my trinket bag but ....just out of sheer spite I don't want to bring that thing out any more.
Fury warriors complain about having to use a trinket from 2 raids ago...our 'best' defensive trinket has been a crafted POS since the beginning of the expansion.

I did like a 20 DHT the other day or so? it's no problem...then joined random 11's and 14's in pugs HOLY CHRIST the horror.
in 'theory' wouldn't the best 2 purely defensive tank trinkets be the writhing heart and grostesque statue? I remember the statue's stacks can get wild on some mobs and seriously reduce their damage for decent bits of time. but of course it's so random that it's unreliable.

That thing is actually a SERIOUSLY legit dps trinket for aoe.

I think people really understimate it.
the listed damage is per wave, and 4 waves come out, and hit twice (if each hits on the way out/in) so it's way more damage than the listed numbers would indicate.
Also have a 950/60? Titanguard.....it's such a dookey trinket honestly BUT if you really build a huge pull around it; and pop Battlecry and get a lucky trigger of concordance or something...and finish the channel before BC ends; it can do some bonkers AoE damage for funsies.

The downside of TBN vs trinkets like Diima's and Moonglaives is that you can't time it around Battle Cry

overall as what? a defensive consideration? yeah probably...but 'overall' damage it's one of the best AOE (M+) Trinkets you can use.
and RNG means you'll have low procs and you'll have packs where it triggers a few times ...hence the strong zonewide damage.
That being said I don't use it on 20+'s
But if you get a decent TBN and do some keys or content that isn't threatening to you; try it out...you'll see some solid performance out of it. I thought it was meh at first until I really just left it on through some mid teens M+ and looked at the overall throughput.

That's the only problem...hard to gauge the 'direct' value of trinkets when main stat gets concerned...which is also why I like the red dog eye for fortified trash.

The T21 set bonus isn't implemented in simc, and afaik there's a pretty big issue with incoming damage being too low to get a realistic pain generation

my "opener" is usually: charge -> taunt during charge -> demo during charge while near enough boss -> SB+IP during charge right before reaching boss -> SS -> BC -> SSSSSSSSSS
so you will get your SS right back when you pop BC

I'd suggest you go over the logs once they come up, there's no reason for a DPS'er to pull aggro off a tank after a taunt unless the tank isn't casting anything after.

I would use Sephuz and most likely insignia tbh until you get something better. Prydaz is bad, and Soul is bad with T21. You really shouldn't be using Heavy Repercussions though. It's very subpar.

Also to your note on vari I find that heroic leaping is better on vari because of how tedious positioning him with raid markers and the other tank can be of you charge in and he decides to be a goof. Both ultimately work though.

For heroic (haventΒ΄t seen vari M yet) I find it much easier to have the 5 markers placed on the entrance side, have tanks and dps all on their spots and taunt varimathras to the raid instead of running to him after pull.
