Use Victory rush procs often, Stormbolt to stun drain life without gaining stacks, use orbs liberally, reflect Twisted Reflection in P2 @glass rain

@glass rain go big dick dps. More dps = faster kill =fewer mechanics. I did it with the class ring and bracers + cradle and moonglaives in like three tries. going t20/21 4/2 so I had stupid rage regen. I think T20 is overrated but T21 is clutch and essential with that opening burst. My best recomendation is just to pour it on the fucking boss non stop until you get to around 7 stacks when the first adds come out. then intercept the adds, hit the orb (healings your self/velen and disorienting the adds) clap/ revenge the adds to get aggro, then clear the eyes w/ intercept (which almsot always kills them) until your stacks fall off then go burst on that fucking boss again. BC should be up again easily (if not your third time) and stack that shit with demo shout and you should down the boss around here, if not run that one more time, maybe even holding the phase 1 a little bit to kill infernals just to make phase 2 easier. Phse two pop spell reflect on twisting reflection, if you have the class ring definitely vengeance weave cuz that revenge will kill guys near the boss giving you non stop victory rushes. if you have to hit an orb again do so, but the second phase should go down pahse af.

If i recall correctly I only had about 10 seconds between my first and second pot. so the total fight was a hair over two minutes. I also rocked bear tartar so you are always moving fast AF. some reccomend stormbolt for more interrupts but I didn't find that super necessary and preferred the intercept talent, so then you have two stuns every fifteen seconds instead of one every 30.

I ran Bracers and Belt. But Bracers Ring wouldn't be awful either. Used Bear Tartar, Drums, Str Flask, Prolonged Pot. I also have 2p T21 which makes it a lot easier as well. Just hold BC and DS and Diimas for when Kruul lands, dropped drums, second pot and CDs and burst him pretty hard to where I only had to mess with a couple annihilates.

It was really sloppy, but gear. I waited on this mostly because I just got my bracers this week, the last prot leggo I could get. And I like the shield but hate the flail, looks like a damn grappling hook from Quake Capture the Flag.

sometimes i find myself standing doing nothing and just have to let him hit me with the mind rends

Use the ball liberally especially when you get a cluster of adds, be sure to get your impendings off. If you have Stormbolt and Pummel you can interrupt a rend every now and again. Go hard in the opener, you can hang out a bit longer in the pool during that as there will only be one eye up to manage.

There are weakauras that help as well, and some focus macros.

I start the fight charging in using BC, DM, and a ignore pain, and then just start spamming shield slam for as long as i can then jump out to the eye for healing

Can do the third with either Demo Shout+SB+IP or Nelth's Fury

930 should be enough to straight up mongo him from the start. What I did at 917 was prepot + drums + dps trinket + BC + Avatar, charge in and burst till about 7-8 stacks. Then leap onto an orb and run as far away from him as you can. Your stacks will drop as he move towards you. He should be <50% at this point

After that I leave after about 5-6 stacks. Save SR for adds, charge eyes for VR. He should be dead within 1 infernal.

I use orbs liberally too.

No point saving for P2, we have it pretty good in P2 with SR

If you want to be good, you have to use addons to track your shield block and ignore pain size/duration.

If you're just trying to wing it using defaultUI you've got no chance.

The biggest problem I have when converting people to prot warrior is that the game tells you nothing.

Once you teach them that shield block has 2 charges and that ignore pain is just an absorb bubble they stop getting one shot by garbage.

Tracking said absorb is pretty key.

tanking with prot is basically knowing when to get shield block up or when to save it. to a lesser extent, that is true with spell reflect. everything else is pretty much gravy. that said, the penalty for not having shield block up at the correct time can be pretty severe.

In my experience the tier combo is still useful when I need more defensive Cds. For farm and prog I mostly use just tier 21 4pc anymore because the ilvl difference is so vast now, like 30-50 ilvl. In addition, the tier 21 4pc isn't as bad as it looks.

So I guess, more feels less a hard number.

Has someone here tanked M Aggramar? I am a DPS Warrior and might be the '3rd tank' for the fight, and almost assuredly tanking the boss for periods of time when our 2 BDKs are controlling adds. Is there any serious threats to me during this? Would demo shout+artifact with some IP be enough to survive Foe Breaker? And is SB+IP spam good enough during his autoattacks?

SB alone is enough for foe breaker as long as you have 7/7 in bastion

Though I would recommend using NF for it

He doesnt deal much damage at all to warriors since its all blockable

Thanks Cosmo, I only really 'tank' these days in raid on Coven as the escort and don't really take much tank gear away from our tanks and their tank alts but I'll see what relics I can roll and maybe some trinkets now that I've read the pins and go from there 😃

I use details, and if I die, I can go to encounter details and hover over my name in the death list, and see everything that happened to me leading up to the death. really handy, was just wondering if there was something more comprehensive. I dont' really use WCL, I guess I should start 😮

So I'm just getting back into tanking on a fairly fresh Warrior (mostly 910-915 gear, 930 ilvl). Is Darkmoon: Immortality a necessity? Seems like it, based on the trinket ratings, but it's kind of expensive.
