#AMD 7800XT With MSI MPG 321CURX Blue Screen Issues

Hi everyone! 👋

I recently bought an MSI MPG 321CURX monitor, and ever since, I’ve been running into random blue screen (or rather, grey screen) issues. It can happen anytime — whether I’m watching YouTube, playing a game, or just idling on the desktop.

When it happens, the screen turns grey, I can still hear distorted or laggy audio, and the only way to recover is by holding down the power button to reboot.

I’ve heard this might be a communication issue between MSI monitors and AMD GPUs, and I’ve tried just about everything I can think of (even submitted a crash report). I’d really prefer not to have to change my GPU, so if anyone has experienced this or found a fix, I’d really appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance 🙏

This sounds very similar to a problem I and someone else have with our Rx 7800xt were instead of the screen going grey it would be black. How long have you had your Rx 7800xt?

Btw try under volting and under clocking because it lowered the amount of times the black screen happened for me so it might help you

Hi there 🙂 , thank you for replying , i really appreciate it . I bought it in December so its still very new. I only started having issues when i bought this screen . Thanks , i will give that a try , i have tried it in Eco Mode and its random . I even left the PC on doing nothing while i went to make food and come back to a Green screen :/

Idk if it is a monitor or GPU problem but try lowering the power and clock speeds in msi afterburner
