Upon a ban / very long mute people should be restricted to only be able to talk in / see a ticket system, in there they can appeal their ban / mute / get help with issues
Let's make an example

This is Jack: 🧔‍♂️
Jack has said some controversial things and has been muted 😦
Jack can now talk nowhere
Jack has changed and because it has been a very long time since his mute he wants to appeal his mute.
Luckily Badlion has a ticket system in the discord now, so he creates a ticket (Jack can still talk inside the ticket) and explains the situation, Jack's appeal is accepted and Jack can now talk again in an easy way
But what if jack said some not okay stuff inside the ticket?
Then Jack will no longer be able to create a ticket and his mute period will be extended / left untouched

Now let's follow Poppy: 👩
Poppy got banned from the Badlion discord, but needs help because her launcher isn't working
Luckily Poppy can only see the ticket system and creates a support ticket, she can get support there and help resolve the issue

I think that this ticket system with help Badlion because if someone has been muted they need to go the forums which can be very messy with getting good answers, and if someone wants to appeal a ban / mute in the discord they can just open a ticket instead of going to the forums

Hey, all of our punishments are reviewed and we follow a guide written by the admins, also if anyone believes that the punishment isn't fair they could message @paper ridge and explain why they think the punishment isn't fair since I don't think we have the permission to unban someone..etc, 2nd example it might be helpful but I think it will be mostly trolls.

Hi,

I sort out all the bans and mutes on the discord. People do come to me for reports and ask me to look into situation.

From the suggestion I can definitely get it looked into by people who are responsible for the structure of the discord. I also believe users should have access to some resources even with their “ban”.

For appeals, this will have to be a conversation I need to have with my team and a couple of admins because the people who would be responsible for the appeals would be the client mods. I like the suggestions, I will bring up the ban one and discuss the appeal one.

My idea was that this ticket system for support / appeals would only be visible for people who are muted / "banned" as they have no other way of asking for help, and if someone thinks an admin handled poorly and muted / banned them for no reason, they can create a ticket and explain the situation. I actually got banned from the discord server a while back whilst reporting a scammer in the discord. It was very unclear to me how to get unbanned and after a few hours I figured out that I needed to make a forum post on the forums. This suggestion was made so it was more clear how to appeal / get help whilst banned or muted

Yes this is definitely something we can look into. I don’t see a lot of “cons” besides people trolling, but this would be easy to manage by putting a couple of sanctions in place for people who abuse the system.
