#Add Sodium + Iris option into 1.16+

The main problem here is licensing. The way these licenses work would more than likely require us to publish at least some or even all of our source code.
There is a fair chance Lunar is not entirely compliant with this license and it is just not being enforced fully there. We have seen very much what this license can do as it is the reason Lunar has not been able to keep replay mod available because they are not complying with the license and are trying to find a workaround which may well not be possible without tonnes of work.
The secondary problem here is this:
We would be relying on other developers to update and maintain their mod to new versions and fix bugs. This is an issue we have had with Optifine and why it takes a fair amount of time in some updates to get Optifine because we need a stable build.
So what is the solution?
Simply put we need to just keep working on our performance boosts for higher versions. Our 1.8 FPS is really good compared to vanilla, Lunar or just plain Optifine (sometimes as high as 3x more than other clients and beyond). This is something that takes time, but it is a far better use of time then wasting it trying to get around a license in a dodgy way that is just against the spirit and intent of the license in the first place.
I am screenshoting this for future use if anyone asks/suggest this again
Ok I guess I will close this post
