If you ever are facing someone using the toxic rivers of blood meta, you can make the strat collapse in on them by simply being good at parrying.

I put down an adversary summon sign, and this person was dual wielding rivers of blood. Started attacking me immediately, not courteous at all, not even a bow. One swift move with my buckler shield and boom, almost dead. Caught em with a hit and fight was over.
