Nms is cross play with ps4/xbox. When you get to a point in the game that you can see other players they have icons with the platform they use. I've seen both ps4 and xbox icons next to names. @digital jungle

@rancid turret Honestly, I'd do the first hour or two alone so that you understand the basics. Fix your ship at least. Just follow the missions it leads you to for a while. A partner would be more helpful once you get off planet.
