Ice-cream? There are different types, and then there are things that are similar (like Gelato of which there are also different types) but not quite ice cream. In terms of French ice cream, that's ice cream made with eggs, whereas American style (originally called Philadelphia style) is just cream/milk/sugar. Then you have Iranian Ice Cream, called Bastani IIRC, which is like French style, but thickened further with Salep so it is almost... stretchy.
