I’ll just use this to get rid of the after effects from Nick and Buckley.
I do not own this song, or wish to give the impression I do.
This is one of my favourite songs and I couldn't find a non-live version of it on Youtube... so thought I'd do the dirty work myself.
Enjoy! :)
NOK x
My Corona? wot!?
I've been drinking tea like it's a thing now.
Really digging the tea bags.
I don't use milk at all.
I just drop in a nice sac of orange pekoe in piping hot water and steep it

👖
I'm dead, Borderlands 3's shitty DLC comes out on the 10th 🤣
New skill trees for each character and a knockoff CoD Gun Game mode
idk man i remember the old skill trees being kind of shit
CD Projekt Red details the visual styles that dominate the world of Night City, which you'll be able to experience in Cyberpunk 2077

so, star trek discovery s3. ||🙁||
@dry copper not to quibble, but tea has been a thing for a while
Have you ever had a look at what's happening behind your eyes? LIA and Apashe did for the Renaissance album, and this music video is the result of it. 🏴

In this episode we're exploring one of the most beautiful abandoned asylums we've ever set foot ...
was this place in 'the last of us'
If it’s St Mary’s, then yes
Also, TIL this is where the Netflix launching sound comes from https://youtu.be/rb5dEtNIKZk
Epic ending to Season 2 of House of Cards. Frank Underwood is finally in the Oval Office and double-taps the President's desk.
TAP TAP!
I do not appreciate the size of this robot in Nier Automata rn, it just ate an entire battleship that was a friggin Dorito compared to it
cronch
Tfw you have 15 things in your install queue and it's only from two games plus their DLC's and add-ons
Feels like just cause or Sega collection @austere lance
Fable III and Fallout 3, lol
It hath been brought to my attention that Sony requires you to have a PS+ membership to store saves in the cloud and I'm thoroughly confused on why
well don't you also need ps+ for multiplayer?
Yeah, but what about people who don't care about multiplayer and just wanna take care of their saves for single-player games?
well I could imagine that PS just collects all of these features under "online" and just locks them all
which would spare them some extra paperwork I guess
but I agree with your statement for that kind of person that agreement certainly is bad
@crimson kelp
Y tho
you'll have to be more specific
Wasn’t the first ending sufficient
I think waifu stopped after three seasons
Also about the PS+ thing
If your membership ends, you have 6 months to renew it and if you don't do it in time your save data is gone forever
That's...dumb
Yep
Best part is that you can't download your saves even
hasn't Nintendo started similar crap to that with their online sub?
I don't pay attention to Nintendo lol
Anything nintendo does would be an improvement over "Save is locked to your handheld and will not work on anything else."
how about, "but not every game has cloud save support, so is still locked to the device"
i dunno, that doesn't seem like an improvement to me, lol
at least if i'm remembering whatever baffling nintendo logic is going on with the switch
I live in terror of my 3ds breaking and losing all my saves
couldn't you toss on homebrew & back up saves that way?
I keep it updated, so probably not?
i think at this point you should be more or less set tbh
given they're phasing the 3DS out at this point
All I know is I have homebrew on my New 3DS and haven't had any issues on that front
Instead I've had hardware issues
Meanwhile my 3ds 😞

gotta watch these console restoration vids
see how it works and fix it, order new screen replace it
good shit
Realized I haven't shown this one yet
@wet warren that's a weird looking 3ds
I tell ya, haven't had a series of games make me rage quite like the Assassin's Creed series. Between the mind numbing tracking for the character when you try to scale walls or get caught on a pebble. And some of the fighting bs, blocking doesn't count as blocking at times and they completely changed control layout for Odyssey and it is a pain to get used to.
Also the story is on life support
there's a story?
As a writer once said, The best stories are those implied, untold and fantastic beyond imagination. Only those with the keen mind see them. For those without, we who can only have sorrow for them
Lol
Frankly feels like NMS storyline for me. Love it because so much is implied, yet, nothing is concrete
Best kind of story there is
😄
I like stories that influence the game world
So yeah, Bastion & Transistor are right up there
I just played through three campaigns in Distance and I'm still confused lol.
A story that doesn't affect its world is just lore, isn't it? Set dressing, worldbuilding, but ultimately inconsequential
I coulda sworn my friend said there was at least 4 or 5 total campaigns
Control's jukebox challenge mode gives me Destiny vibes and I'm not sure that's a good thing
maybe there's this hidden one, i need to find the crabs :V
@willow crypt After I finished the campaign in control, I didn't feel compelled to play it anymore (at all). Game was fantastic though.
I love me a solid single player experience...and kinda hate being asked to subscribe to it.
The whole system being laid out the last two decades with "Games as a service" pisses me off.
@winter yew by distance do you mean that one car game, because that doesn't really have a 'canon' story iirc
@cinder vessel you might love Hades, if you haven't tried it yet
@charred badge Honestly, the Assassins Creed story was on life-support from day one. They clearly hadn't finished the franchise story when they finished the first game and struggled to extend its shelf life. The story went from science fiction, to mystery, to medieval fantasy, to science fiction again and it just keeps juggling these genres like their balls are stuck in the air. Now it's reasonable to accept the story has all three genres to varying degrees, but it never commits to anything contextually and this does not invite inspiration. What it does is create a series of plot holes that a writer never has to fill because their non-committal approach to story development means they have no vested interest in the integrity of the story. @glass plinth The best stories are those written, not just implied.
Hades is one of my favourite roguelites for many reasons
Hades looks fantastic.
Please play it
The art is wonderful, the characters are lovely, and the fucking dialogue is amazing
Too busy losing sleep making a ship that is such a chore to maintain, I hate myself.
Not just in content but in quantity
I've been watching Hades on twitch the last two days
Love the variety of weapons
I was on there yesterday watching Yogscast playing, yellin at the screen...STOP FIRING DIRECTLY AT THE GUY, THE BONUS DAMAGE IS FROM RICOCHET!
To whit a mod responded....Dude, this video is pre-recorded.
yeah Mumbles, it took me some time to warm up to the game, but I ended up enjoying it a lot. finished the main campaign today, going to do the dlcs next.
probably will avoid the challenges though, they stress me out.
Fuck being timed
One thing that bugs me and it may be the way people are playing or the controls...haven't played it...Every time you fire at an enemy, you have to face them, which means you can't be going in another direction while firing, be it strafing or backstep
@dry copper I really cant agree on the topic on stories. For me, the as GMleon put it, lore, the stories which are behind the stupid main story are all that matter to me.
I never was one to play a game to finish the main story though. More peek under the covers and see whats going on besides the obvious giant red dragon of doom or dark knight
I suppose thats why I love Elite Dangerous and games of the ilk
I'm not dismissing the value of extra content, but if the content is so lax that it does not even credit the integrity of the story, it's lazy writing
That or delibrate
I mean one of the best books I ever read had no main story unless you were able to piece together the story
12 stories, all more or less amazing tales of simple people, no clear connection to the narrative
Yet, if you finish it, you begin to see a overarcing story which implies some very big amazing things
Then again, maybe thats just because of the types of games and stuff I played with as a kid
Shrugs
Trying to think of the best story, which was written and drew me in.
Oddly, I think it was the narnia series
@winter yew by distance do you mean that one car game, because that doesn't really have a 'canon' story iirc
@raven frost yes that one car game
I talked to my friend, apparently I do need to find the hidden crabs
for the secret campaign
Is it as secret as the secret cow level in Diablo II, lol
but thats ok, they seem very frustrating to get to lol. I'm no good at using the air jet things.
I like the levels that have platforming and such but the shit that requires maneuvers with just the jets are frustrating
A guy I know just randomly sold his PS4 Pro cuz he's "Completely on PC now" even tho I know for a fact he has every good PS exclusive and hadn't even tried the new stuff in Ghost of Tsushima yet......

@glass plinth to me the problem with "implied stories" is as I said, they're usually already done and dusted. You navigate the consequences but past their lending to the setting, they have minimal impact on much else & you have no part in them anyway.
The best situation imo is when that background comes to a head in the present. You not only hear or read about the consequences, but you directly encounter their ongoing repercussions.
Outer Wilds does this wonderfully, right before launch you're introduced to a few mysteries of previous lost explorers, motivating you to retrace their steps and make it back.
Metroid Prime also does a great job of this, where what you're scanning often directly relates to what led the areas to be as they are, and why you're dealing with what you're dealing with. In both instances the past or background/side info is not some wholly distant, faintly relevant set of details, but a web of mysterious events and their effects to investigate and understand.
Hell, Control does a pretty good job of this as well. Tbh many of the better written games I can think of tend to do this.
They blend both "lore" and "main story" so well, you almost don't even think to distinguish them as such, because the whole is so much better than either apart.

Yesss
You know @cinder vessel Wasteland did a great job with lore and present story and implications of actions too.
Elite dangerous did as well, but since the implications could be difficult to see, it could be hard to see the story
For instance, I get told to assasinate a corrupt prison leader by a small time planet leader.
Ended up, the corrupt prison leader ruled all of the local gangs, starting a city war when he died over 3 systems
which then lead to the guy I working for duying to assasination.
WHich was my friend irl.
The fact the missions interconnected was.. dumbfounding.
Long story short, I ended up reshaping a entire sector of space to the faction I backed , 3 civil wars, a famine, a outbreak of disease I assume was a bio weapon killing off half a planet and a bunch more
THAT is storyline to me
Two IGN editors who each played Cyberpunk 2077 for four hours discuss the character customization options they experienced, from your avatar's genitalia to skill and perk upgrades and more! Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on November 19 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will also...
It's a LOT more of an RPG than people will be expecting
aw shit am i gonna have to hire a RPG accountant to balance the character sheets?
depends how many points you get
Niiiice
been awhile since i had to balance stats like that
I love customization
I mean witcher did that well
So no surprise there.
I feel like CP2077 is going to be a little bit of a letdown to some at launch
With all the hype going around
i just wanna make my fantasy self
Hrmm
I dont suspect Ill have much of a issue with letdown. I wasnt let down by nms or many other games
I just enjoy things for what they are. The only hype I have, is the setting.
I havent played a game in a proper big city in AGES.
True
However, given the way skills and such work. Ill probably be pretty happy, Im familiar with the setting
I’m not very excited for the game myself tbh
well given how much hype it is getting there might be some disappointed people
but those are always there
I’d imagine quite a few
Hrmm, I remember after witcher 1 and 2, all the hype of witcher 3
probably
We remember how that turned out.
They nailed it.
Which is one thing with CD, office practices aside.
Hopefully that happens
Who knows
Either hype can make your game an absolute success or ruin it for a lot of people
Unlike NMS and many other games, I only know testers for the game, I havent met any programmers
So the info I have is skewed
yeah but they couldn't have avoided the hype
I dont usually judge based off that kind of ingo
yeah but they couldn't have avoided the hype
@bold crag
Didn’t they release a trailer 8 years ago?
Well, the worry I have is the time they are making the game
And have done a lot of stuff for it
I think it was 6 I mite be off
Either way, almost as bad as elderscrolls games
LOl
@stray fractal well they need to market it somehow, also it would have been leaked anyway let's be real here
One thing I can be sure of is, the character animations will rock lol
The amount of mocap going into the game is absurd
They mocapped the fricking cars for frick sake
@stray fractal well they need to market it somehow, also it would have been leaked anyway let's be real here
@bold crag
True, but they’ve protected from leaks for a long while now anyways
Have you seen the ndas?
Lol, CDP has insane nda contract
My friends who test it, wont say squat.
Which is good.
I mean a well run studio can manage that.
yeah but usually some stuff leaks out
If they really wanted to protect against too much hype they could’ve waited longer, but they’re probably trying to use it to their advantage
and if they wanted to keep the game a secret even a leak about the existence of the game would havw been enough
If they really wanted to protect against too much hype they could’ve waited longer, but they’re probably trying to use it to their advantage
yeah
Well you dont typically want to protect from hype
You want to sell merchandise, presales
so on so forth
I suppose it depends on the studio
Once you have a slew of good releases, you can stretch your neck
Some of the merch is pretty damned awesome too.
I don’t like that
THe only thing Im hoping is a better release then andromeda
hahaha
I love that movie
What movie is that?
Ah
are you talking about mass effect Andromeda?
yeah that game was.... "not well received"
Flipping amazing what mods achieved
I tried it again, with a slew of remake mods
Its amazing now
The game had a amazing community of modders bound and determined to save it
Yeah
I'm curious.
I was a bit surprised
I've got it on PS4 though, so no mods that way.
You wanna gag even more?
||I fucking pre-ordered it.||
Sad Console Noises
Sorry , thats like being stuck with a malformed puppy
Bad comparison
It's at least playable now on console, it's just a shit game
Yeah
Malformed loaf of bread?
You say that until you meet a chihuaha from hell with a personality of a shark mixed with a roach named krueger
As in freddie krueger
Both Andromeda and Fallout 76 taught me pretty quick to never pre-order games again.
Imagine if I had bought 76 now
Hrmm
Like, gameplay and graphics bugs and whatnot got mostly fixed. The story and gameplay loop and characters are still garbage though cuz Bioware can't write their way out of a paper bag anymore
I hear, the game is half decent now
I mite have to try it
I dont mind grind
I mean.. I play nms
Genshin
Lol
I guess i like grind.
It's on Game Pass and I still want nothing to do with it, lol
Private servers n whatnot: sorry, buy Fallout 1st
Eh, I have enough friends playing it now, that it must have some redeemable qualities
Either way, Im to busy with Genshin and NMS.
I like the part where hackers can steal your inventory
^ ugh
Or you can randomly get a nuke dropped on you
Genshin I'm half taking a break from
Still logging in each day because of the blessing
hehe
But now that I've done with Liyue and Mondstadt story along with maxing the shrines
I dont wanna burn myself out
Yeah
Will just wait for Zhongli and the next region
take a break, wait tell the new map is out
Me, Im mostly just taking my time
I rerolled 3 times too
PS4, didnt learn about rerolling till late
So I am only just up to liyue
Lol
Frankly, Im glad IM were Im at
I understand the game well enough now, i have the characters I want
No way id reroll now
With all these rerollers I feel there might be too many cooks Dilucs
Yeah, I didnt reroll for that reason.
I did it more out of frustration with making wishes not knowing the system
Once I did, i did a final reroll
Been golden since
I keep hearing of genshin, but have no idea what it is
waifu sim
Breath of the Wild: Waifu edition
Also Xenoblade elements I guess, havent played
BoTWW
Breath of the Wild with waifus and Nier combat
Frankly, its not a bad game. All the issues of gacha aside
Nier pov's as well
I enjoy the pace frankly
I've not been compelled to spend a dime on it
For that reason, I felt comfortable getting the blessing
I just
Since i play everyday, its.. nice actually
?
WITH YOU
im not complaining
Moon and I play everything together usually
But we like to explore alone
i play with europeans a lot xD
So us joining eachother causing a lock in progression sucks a bit
Hrmm
I mean you can explore together, just not do the missions
So I get what you mean
frankly the only thing I do is bosses with my friend
lol
Speaking of .. oh crud
Saw the time
I need to go to bed
LOL
I forgot i need to do chores tomorrow
Night all!
My bedtime too
Goodnight

Considering purchasing Empyrion
hahaha the last second of the trailer for the game "Just Die Already" is literally the game dying
I don't know if that was intended
It cut literally right after that screen popped up
Yooooooo
To think he finally managed it (whenever someone suggested this feature he used to flat out say it's not possible)
@coarse swift Breath of the Waifu
Tbh split screen in a game like Stardew seems kinda awkward, but cool to see they managed it
For sure
You haven't lived til you've seen split-screen Ark 😬
I tried it once, I do NOT recommend
It actually ran fine, the UI was fuckin miniscule tho
lol
I watched someone try to play that game for the first time this year, and everyone in the comments having to tell the one playing he should try it with xyz instead was hilarious
"It's a good game, as long as you don't play it with the defaults!"
||That might mean it's not good after all though!||
I've played splitscreen Ark many times. I just give up on reading anything by that point
Fuck playing Ark with default settings, I customize everything to remove the bullshit grind and wait-times
Same. Playing on default is a big mistake
I make it much grindier
I tend to want it to take 2-3 months to reach cap
I guess everyone has different playstyles.
I myself also like waiting a year to tame a dino
Point being
Yeah you arent wrong on the taming part.
That is absurd in a solo or small group setting
Also, how they tame, what you can tame, all of it just doesnt work with my style of play
Generally I like a game where you have to collect materials, slowly process them, work your way up until your out of the stone age. All that infrastructure is a ball to put together.
Sorta why i lean towards survival plus.
Mind you I dont know the current state of the game, I havent played for a year.
Never really played survival plus
Never really finished Ark at all
Oh it is still not very well optimized at all
I finished a few times, up to the point I left off.
Hrmm, I guess with my custom ini file I never much noticed
I run on mostly ultra settings, but I have a very specific set of settings
I hit around 120fps
Thats on my 970 mins you
I dont know what it would hit on my 5700xt
Instead of actually optimizing the game they are shoveling out new islands and dinos faster than the speed of sound
No
Man, back at that point it wouldnt even run on a 1080ti
Were talking 20fps
Its been going up since then of course, for awhile they hit 60, then 80, then 120
So clearly they did some work.
A lot of issues with asset management, choice of assets which draw to many resources and generally bad design though.
Which is why some of the private maps work so much better then the game release maps
A shame really
TO make matters worse, then you had circumstances where some of the mod map makers were hired and not allowed to design the way they wanted.
Atlas really drove a nail in certain parts of the design teams morale too.
Largely due to one of the lead devs having a fricking meltdown, on release day, storming out like a madman, leaving everyone wondering wtf had just happened.
The devs made a shit pirate knockoff of Ark before finishing Ark, LMAO
Yep lol
It is a good game mind you
I do enjoy it
I dont use the vanilla servers though.
Its just with the lead devs ... yeah, its always a uphill battle
Not quite molyneux bad maybe, but bad.
Booooooo
No. They're a bastardized version of Snail
They really arent though
Snail doesnt have much impact on the in studio release dates or design parameters
Most of that is set by Jeremy
or was
I dont know now.
Jeremy.. ugh. Id seriously have to hold my tongue if I met him irl.
After what he pulled on serveral occasions, how he impacted people I know
Im not a fan
There are too many useful games out there for me to even think about touching that broken-ass game again, lol
Frankly, I left simply due to having new games to play
I enjoyed ark
Im not of the ilk that really cares about how a game releases, if i can make it better
THat being said, I dont see going back to it either.
7k hours into a game, Im done.
Very few games can draw me in much longer then ark, besides kerbals
Ugh, once kerbals 2 comes out, no one will hear from me for years.
I have awhile before that happens, sometime end of next year it seems.
Kerbal Space Pogrom
I like how ps4 has a Halloween sale and dayz refuses to discount their game
Poopyheads
hehe
Welp, almost time to head to work.
Gota mow those yards, blows the leaves
SOOOO many leaves
Seriously, 120 bags of leaves
I was surprised anyone picked up a license for Dark and Light. I remember when that game first came out back in like....2008
A heaping pile of garbage on launch
I played it for three days before I said, f this...and never touched it again. It was the worst launch of a MMO I ever experienced
DayZ is on Game Pass but I still don't think it's worth downloading, those types of games are 😬
Back in the days when Dark and Light was being promoted, the promotional video was literally of a dude snow boarding on a shield
DayZ looks like PUBG with zombies
I did end up buying Dark and Light, the new one...just to see what it was about...deep discount.
Dark and Light currently is....well, Ark with magic.
Yeah... I got it free
played maybe 20 hours
The fact the animals could get stuck in trees which were meant to cut them down was.. NOPPPPE
At least ark had functional part
lol
oh geez lol
The only thing I liked about Dark and Light were the meteors
I like that too
That felt intteresting
I mean I loved empyrion for the same reason
the streams of enemies coming to hurt you
Made base design interesting
I've been eyeing empyrion but I hate the graphics so much
I feel like I'm looking at the original doom 1 textures on a better engine
I've never bought the game.
I kinda assumed the youtube videos were what you'd expect of graqphics
Eh, you never know, my taste in graphics are odd.
For my part, I'm on an RX5700XT
Same!
😄
Sapphire pulse
LOOOOOVE this card
so quiet, so powerful
Also, only 300 bucks on sale
Same. Best card for the dollar
I won't likely need to upgrade until I decide to buy a whole new system with the 3080
Hrmm
Years from now
Im going for a amd 3600 when it goes on sale
32gb ddr4
a new mobo
im done
I have all the other parts
so max, another 320 or so dollars for a full upgrade
thatll keep me going another 4 years
WELP! Im off!
take care!
They put a TON of accessibility stuff in the game
I wonder if they added multiple assassination types based on partial damage...Like, motor damage, followed by assassination that exploits that, or vision damage followed by assassinate that exploits that, etc
Sort of like the assassinations in Shadow of Mordor
Fucking loved that game's assassinations
I think the motor cognitive vision thing represents what kind of accessibility option it is
Oh
I thought they were adding subsets of assassination types lol
"I made you blind, now I'm going to play with my food"
LMAO
"Want to maim, but not murder? Then torture your victim before killing them? Assassins Creed. Less assassin and more assassout.
Almost went and bought a whole HOTAS system for Interstellar Rift...Then realized it has no mechanism for controllers to work.
Only way I got any controller to work with the game was by hackey sacking it with steam's controller override features
Buy it for Star Wars Squadrons 😆
I'm not a big star wars fan.
Only thing that appeals to me in Interstellar Rift is the ship building and micromanagement
I may get Starbase just to see if it's worth playing inspite of the pvp
Be hardcore and completely turn off the HUD in Squadrons so you're operating your starfighter only using your ship's instrument panel and looking out your viewport, and use a HOTAS. Ultimate immersion 😎
You don't even have to like Star Wars, it's just a badass starfighter sim
The coolest bros do all of the above while playing in VR
Oddly enough, I upgraded my GPU and have yet to play NMS in VR since...I'm waiting to get a new computer monitor with 120 refresh rate
Because the VR in NMS is for some stupid reason tied to framerate of the monitor it mirrors
My monitor has 60hz framerate, and my VR HMD has 80.
So my monitor is literally throttling my VR headset
I'd choose to play as a wookie

Not even he is ballsy enough to do the "any way the eind blows" line at the end
I dont think people even try that one
Impressive
Except my high school choir but that doesnt count since the song itself was changed a lot...
Like. Completely cutting the first verse pretty much because. Public school
My favourite game I've played this year 10/10 would fly into the sun again
4 days before Outer Worlds releases on steam
It's fun, hope y'all like it!
i hope the sequel has a much wider scope
great game, fun. good story, but felt very restricted
I might re-download it and do another playthrough, tho I think Nier is gonna take up all my time for the foreseeable future 😆
Why must Nier be such a massive game 😭
I've noticed, I'm 8 hours in and I just smacked a ||giant ancient robot that ate a fuckin battleship||
I feel like I'm not even close to finishing my first playthrough, lol
I've read that Ending E is the "final" ending for most people and that the rest of the endings are for completionists
Only played into the second playthrough, or maybe third? I don't remember
@austere lance I love your description of that fight
Second playthrough is apparently the worst, it pays off tho cuz your third playthrough isn't actually a new playthrough, it's something else 👀
Then the fourth one is COMPLETELY NEW
I saw the one ending that is literally the ballsiest move I've ever seen a studio make
Like god damn
😄
NieR:Automata
Oh
Bit of a normal thing to a souls vet
i s'pose
@silver sparrow Nier Automata has 26 endings
We were talking about the main ones 😆
Whaaaat
I was disinterested because of the whole skimpy outfit thing but I will reevaluate
@winter yew bad hammerer. Hammers are for heads.
@silver sparrow I was in the same boat as you and thought it looked pretty dumb, then I tried it with Game Pass and now I'm hella hooked. Absolutely insane game with like 6 different genres of gameplay in it
@charred badge Need hammer to break horns, that's all lol
I’m still ‘early game’ on my pc account. Getting ready to fight Kushala and Teostra for the first time
Acey is obviously gonna watch the Monster Hunter movie day one
Ugh, that is one movie i will not be seeing
I loathe game to movie conversions
Hrmm, well, almost all of them
the witcher tv show wasnt horrid
Hrmm and the defiance tv show was surprisingly good
I liked The Witcher, even though I'm the demographic who by all rights should have hated it (put a few hundred hours into Witcher 3, read all 8 books, etc) 😆
yeah that storyline was legit good
Speaking of, did you see that the author has a new book series?
No! Ill have to check it out
Frankly, after seeing the novel for cyberpunk Im starting to get excited about the storyline for the game.
mmmk so I forgot how insane the Kushala fight is in the last phase 😦
They sure have good writers
I just got carted 3 times in a row lmao
@glass plinth The Tower of Fools
ill check it out!
not me but

Monster Hunter World Kushala Daora Boss Battle Plays...
It's translated by the guy who did the English translations for most of the Witcher books
this part, with the bombs and then all that wind.
also why didnt that load a thumbnail 😦
oh there it goes
20 minutes in to that vid it REALLY picks up
looks like I need to stock up on flash pods for that part
@glass plinth English translation version of the book releases on the 27th. I'm pretty interested in it cuz it's historical-fiction instead of just Fantasy
im so mad cuz I managed to cut off Kushala's tail too 😭 first time
@winter yew no no, KO and exhaust are amazing and hammer is best at provoking them
KO?
When you bash their head enough and they lie down and flop like a fish
oh right
That works on ur enemies irl too 👀
sure lol

Great track
historical fiction is 👍
More like historical fantasy
fantasy is a type of fiction
Yes, Harry potter is a wonderful youth fiction
well it sure as hell isn't nonfiction
I like how the default is fiction, now that I think about it
Castlevania is still the best game to tv adaptation out there tbh (i know convo was earlier, just sayin')
I'm weak
also yeah, castlevania is nice.
because the writers obviously cared
that's the big distinction
Is it a product to sell something
Is it a vehicle for a director's preferences
Is it an attempt to actually convey the tone and world of a piece of media
damn I really need to watch the rest of Castlevania
I had dropped it long ago because something else came up
God fucking dammit, TODD WINS AGAIN

Man, y'know a series I nearly forgot all about? American Horror Story. Gotta be among the worst names for a series out there.
I was trying to remember it and literally all I could remember was horror, as if that's gonna help search for it
Even the first couple seasons are terrible to try to search for. Murder House, Asylum, lmao
"ah yes, what was it called, uhhh, horror...asylum?"
no, gamepass doesn't interest me all that much
but you dont, as soon as you stop paying it goes away
well you get it for 1 month
I doubt i'll complete this inside a month
hmm well then buying it is of course worth it

@thorn dawn its got a decent amount of content to keep you busy lol. Its like a 40-50 hour game
Control should add a costume that covers Jesse's entire body in documents, and when she runs and flies, papers should fly off
Seriously. This dlc. One small office room and like, 15 document collectibles
Otherwise, fun

Yes

Ultimate superpower
remember Paper Beasts
Ok, will do.
Cyberpunk has multiple discs
@austere lance Mother fucking Skyrim AGAIN!!!!!!!?
They should be giving the god damn game AWAY at this point.
They keep reselling it over and over and OVER
I'm pretty sure that's a mod that was posted
Yeah that.
Bunch of people completely remade the campaign and added a third act to it
....Seriously...I have every single iteration of skyrim ever released.
lmao I just ||fought the golden bunny machine|| in NieR.. Was NOT expecting him to say some of the things he said lol.
Skyrim with a useful story will be weird
omgerd, Cyberpunk has a physical option?
The text on the link even says it's a mod, but I understand the upset. Skyrim is fuckin... Everywhere
I'd much rather a physical cyberpunk to a digital...I wonder if they'll charge more for physical
Is this a fking joke?
There's your physical copy.
Read the top of the box
So...@austere lance Where do I get the physical ones? (clearly not from CDPR)...I was ready to pre-order it, just for the physical stuff
That screenshot is from Amazon
Yeah that's where CDPR forwards you.
I found CDPR's explanation
The CDs are for the xbox and ps
Otherwise, the only digital discs are for music
I thought there was going to be PC discs 😦
Save me waiting hours to download from servers already inundated by millions of downloads...
Most pc gamers don't even have disc drives anymore, lol
I keep a spare disc drive around. It's a plug and play drive.
I think I have a spare floppy drive around, lmao
send me dat game on like 50 floppies
whoa, the new amnesia looks good
kinda bummed they went back to that tbh
Soma was really refreshing, woulda been cool to see them do another new thing
from what it looks
they went very different with this one too
it's not your typical scary mansion/castle type
ngl i haven't looked at anything to do with it thanks to the Amnesia name
the double-edged sword of trying to market with a seemingly reliable brand or whatever
Probably not
the color scheme on the box art is at least unique
seems most covers utilize reds, blues and black to catch peoples' eye

$17.99
Despite the name
This is evidently an action/adventure cyberpunk game.
This the only color I care about rn, be arsed with Cyberpunk's funky bs
silver's a better color
fite me
there's nothing your ass creed gold axes can do to change my mind

Ur not wrong, lol
@austere lance gold axes suck, minecraft taught all of us this
Loved soma
Wish more games got you questioning stuff like that game did
Anyone know any games that have a similar effect?
i never got more than ~5 hours into soma, mebbe i will give it another swing
outer wilds? not a horror game but apparently it can fuck with your head a bit
(i also didn't finish outer wilds 🙃 )
dhdnjx
I liked soma, but mostly because it touches the existential ramifications of ||digital conciousness|| in ways I never see
Yeah I like games that tackle thought provoking stuff
can anyone suggest me some games under 30$
What platform
pc

Pretty cool
anything els
Check and see if there's any sales rn
played all the assassins creed series
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is $30 @elder heart
it shows 10$ on steam
anyway ill try this one
and another question
i just pre-purchased cyberpunk 2077
is it more cheaper after release
Depending on where you pre-ordered it's actually cheaper rn. Amazon has pre-orders for $50
It'll be $60 on release
on steam
It'll be $60 everywhere, that's kinda how new AAA games work
so i should keep it
Not exactly Iron Butterfly :p
New mobile app for Xbox is out, I can tell my Xbox to install games I don't own 👀
Basically pre-loading without buying the game, lol
Then after the game comes out if I like reviews I can buy it then immediately start playing cuz I already have it downloaded, lol

what?

I figure you'd probably find it a shit game after the first hour
Yet you stayed in there for longer than 8

almost like they say things just for a reaction

If the reaction they were looking for was "is this an edgy statement", they succeeded.

A night in the woods is a great game
@elder heart A Short Hike, HADES, Kind Words, Hotline Miami, The Wolf Among Us, GunPoint, This War of Mine, West of Loathing, Rakuen, Risk of Rain 2, To The Moon, Papers Please, GRIS, Finding Paradise, Last Day of June
That is... an interesting download system. I can see benefits.
There are literally dozens of good games under $30 on steam
Maybe tens of dozens even!
Btw ASH and A Night In The woods are both in the huge itch.io bundle
Might already have them
Is that the same bundle from like...last year?
The racial equality one?
I figure a lot of people bought the thing, realized they couldn't search through it, and forgot about the thing
It hit something like 1,700+ by the end
Yikes
I thought I'd get back into FO76 and see if I could get my money's worth for having purchased it some time ago....Difficult game to enjoy with so much god damn micromanagement of idiotic things like...HUNGER and THIRST....It's like a survival game, but you're homeless and fighting mutants.
I am one of those who forgot about that bundle
So...Surviving Utah
😛
I honestly don't know where they get off making you so hungry and thirsty all the damn time
@daring spear there's a site someone made to make it easier.
Randombundlegame or something like that
Browse, search and filter Itch.io's Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality or let us pick a random game for you.
Ah, alright
I'm trying out Drake Hollow
@coarse swift i finished the game
finished a night in the woods
@winter yew Oh, didn't catch that from your initial statement.

didn't seem like it
game really doesn't take 8 hours
spent most of it spamming the a button so i could get through the dialogue
Yet you stayed in there for longer than 8
6 hours or so if you speedrun it.
If you only bought the game to speedrun it and bypass dialogue, then I'm really not surprised you thought it was shit.
bypass dialogue?
not sure if you remember the game greatly
but the text is stupidly slow
spent most of it spamming the a button so i could get through the dialogue
Is this not bypassing dialogue
easily readable when spamming the a button
i read all of the dialogue
so no, not really
dreams were the worst part
biggest waste of time ever
did they really have to make me walk around to see the same thing three times
Starting to sound less and less like you were just being edgy at first.
i wasn't being edgy i genuinely don't like the game
that's fair
I liked it, but I've always enjoyed games like it. I can see how it wouldn't appeal to some
maybe if it didn't become a chore to read dialogue after a couple hours it would be enjoyable for me
so was the main issue with it the dialogue for you then? was it at least semi-enjoyable otherwise?
I didn't like the dreams much either
i understand the dreams are important for the story but god they're annoying
I spent an unnecessary amount of time going back and forth in at least one of them
the dialogue near the end is what bugged me really
i don't really care about it beforehand
mae just started talking like an incoherent baby
I made a fighting arena in fallout 4
and i couldn't do anything about it
besides sit through boring and generic dialogue
yeah...
oh that's cool Smil
Sorry I interrupted
do you have the fallout 4 creation club mod
where you get to do waves of enemies
Unfortunately no
But if I wanna do that I can use the cages to some degree
i mean i guess you can only do that at the fort
i think
i don't own the mod and i haven't played f4 in years so i wouldn't know
But yeah, I've been making Starlight Drive In into a small city
It has housing, plenty of food, entertainment, and a fucking colloseum
starlight drive is a good build location after you clear it out
i bought fo4 for my pc and spent hours getting mods for it
then i just never played it
Yeah, I've been planning on reworking some of the buildings
So that they are larger
And, yeah, ik the mod feeling
i finished the game on my xbox
way before i got it for my pc
I'm probably going to finish it on this playthrough
But I spend tons of time on settlements
Except that first one that Preston makes you help
That settlement is shit
sanctuary?
or
one of the side quests
ah wait
nevermind
Yeah
Sanctuary I've mostly ignored
I just occasionally harvest recourses from it
you can make sanctuary into something pretty cool
Yeah, but i just don't like the place
fair i guess
I've been thinking of moving its settlers into Starlight
Would be pretty useful
And would give me an actual reason to start building tall ass buildings
I have a bunch of cabins and a two story barracks
i don't remember vanilla building being too amazing
mods is what really made it great
Yea thats a good place
is there a build limit on pc?
teehee animal crossing references
Make larger buildings, make a market area, maybe rework the colloseum
Mods can remove build limit on PC
is there a build limit on pc?
Yeah but I modded it out
money rock sounds like something illegal
Hey it's better than milk
Yeah I plan on making steel towers and shit
Oh also
