Whereas a Low Chaos playthrough where you kill very few or no people gives happy endings to the story

@dry copper you probably got your answer already but yeah there's no char customization and its a single player game with co-op (that unlocks after a certain level) and unfortunately needs to be connected to the internet all the time
aside from that this is some top quality RPG - lots of random hidden puzzles, easter eggs, varied quests that are not always just glorified fetch quests, and a lot of attention to detail in a lot of avenues where they had no need to do for a F2P gacha game
even as a gacha game most of the world is tailored around the guaranteed free chars you get, any more is just a bonus
and well you get the in game currency for them, for free in so many ways
legit feel guilty playing for free, I might buy some coins to show appreciation later on

Ive played maybe 10 gacha games over the years, I really enjoy some of them, however, in genshins case, they did the match incredbly different. For some odd reason.
Fundamentally a lot of gacha games gate certain necessary abilities behind real life money costs. You mite make it through most of the game, but that last half or quarter you will have to roll with money to get the necessities.
Genshin sorta went, fuck that. Lets make it so your gated to make it easier. However you get everything you need to get through the whole game just with the basics.
Although, I may well have just got lucky and got two 5 stars by pure luck haha.
As for what Sohail said, yeah, I started paying using the 5 dollar sub. Basically just to thank the devs for the game lol.

It's not the traditional Pokémon switch to battle screen, select attack style
Move a tile/attack, enemy moves/attacks
What's funny is they basically took farming in the game sense & converted it into a more explicit mechanic, so as you farm resources in the dungeon, you can then turn around & use those resources to enhance the dungeon levels, increasing drop rates, to farm more efficiently
I'm still not sure when/how the resource farming may diverge from enhancing your character & dungeon, but I'm guessing it does at some point since there are more items/tools to find

In Guild Wars 2, the elementalist has four elements from the start. Fire, Earth, Water, Air....Fire=DPS buff, Earth=DEF buff, Water=HEAL buff, Air=Speed buff. So by cycling the elements you could do extreme damage, raise a shield and heal at the same time.

I basically turned a cloth magick user into an AOE monster with elemental rock shielding and a storm of lightning fire
Switch to air to get some distance and rapidly hit water to heal up, then back to rock for defense while healing and switch to DPS and re-apply AOEs

As for storyline. I actually liked it alot. It reminds me a great deal of earlier games I played as a kid, so the nostalgia is strong. Strong enough Id say its one of the better pc ports of a console style game that I actually want to play.
