@silver sparrow sorry i was in stasis. I thought it was fairly interesting, but it didn't really do much to grab me. The difficulty can be somewhat annoying as they seem to have stupidly good accuracy but once you get more comfortable you can mostly weather through it.
Dunno how it plays at lower difficulty settings, but Normal kinda gave me open empty world slog vibes so I just set it aside.

There's multiple tiers of platinum to purchase, if you decide to purchase platinum at all. You can always trade items for it from other players.
The player market is most certainly NOT driven by rivens. They're definitely a high-trade item, but only if you use the in-game trade chat. Veterans and players with more know-how will use the wf.market tool and go for mostly anything but rivens to trade. Leave the dumb ones to fork out hundreds of dollars for platinum to buy a niche riven, all they're doing is adding platinum to the economy.
DE Market price can tend be a hike ||looking at you, Kuva Lich bundle||, but they aren't all bad. The most predatory that's still there is the High Roller Credit Bundle, which really does need to be knocked away.
Also, why would you rush your foundry. Just take a break or do some other missions to pass the time. Game's not going anywhere.

Oldschool is a completely different game with its own economy and player data, which all began in 2013. Despite this, it often gets confused as the older game. RuneScapes 1 through 3 are the same player data and whatnot. Just new graphics, new UI, etc.

Oldschool aka, osrs, was released because players wanted an older version of the game.
Kind of like how WoW Classic happened.
However, it's not a snapshot; they are actively updating it.
