Traded it for a friends preorder and a old gaming mouse to him

#

Modified mouse i mite add

#

Ill miss little blue. It served me well.

raven frost
#

I just remembered I should probably replace my keyboard

#

now that I WILL shell out big money for

#

get something really nice, that'll last for a long time

glass plinth
#

AH AHHH!

#

I bought a kit keyboard!

#

With switches it cost 65 bucks

#

Assembled it is the single best keyboard i have ever had

#

EVER

silver sparrow

cheep

willow crypt
#

hey did you guys watch the live action Mulan? Me neither

silver sparrow
#

same

glass plinth
#

I did

willow crypt
#

damn

glass plinth
#

Hrmm

willow crypt
#

sorry

#

for your loss

raven frost
#

I wasn't even aware it released

silver sparrow
#

who-lan?

willow crypt
#

^

bronze wind
#

my gf's dad watched it illegally twice and wanted to watch it a third time because he enjoyed it

glass plinth
#

Why? It only cost me 8 bucks to watch

bronze wind
#

but he enjoys very bad movies so that's nota good source

raven frost
#

either I'm out of the loop or disney did not advertise it at all

willow crypt
#

if it cost you 8 then that's fine

#

but 30? nah.

bronze wind
#

i'm not super interested in it mostly because of the views of the leading actor

glass plinth
#

I enjoyed it

#

The bad guy was surprisingly good

bronze wind
#

but also because I was never rly into mulan when I was younger

glass plinth
#

Very emotionally complex compared to what i expected.

willow crypt
#

taking out the comedic relief

#

and all the joy

#

and giving her magical abilities

#

haha

glass plinth
#

Yeah, it definitel wasnt funny

#

LOL!

#

I just enjoyed it for what it was

#

I rented it from spain

willow crypt
#

i can respect that

glass plinth
#

So I paid 8 bucks

#

YAY VPN

#

๐Ÿ˜›

willow crypt
#

8 sounds like a fair price from the comfort of your home

#

instead of going to a theater

bronze wind
#

i think the bigger issue is the name, like people associate it with the cartoon but it's a real story with different versions

willow crypt
#

i suppose that's why they changed it up so much

bronze wind
#

so people go in thinking it's a 1:1 remake of the cartoon story but fromw hat I understand it's just another interpretation

willow crypt
#

true

silver sparrow
#

(and also thanking chinese agencies accused of human rights violations)

willow crypt
#

yeah

glass plinth
#

Yeah, I dont really care about human rights

#

So I definitely didnt take that into consideration

Hua Mulan (Chinese: ่Šฑๆœจๅ…ฐ, Chinese: ่Šฑๆœจ่˜ญ) was a folk heroine from the Northern and Southern dynasties (4th to 6th century AD) of Chinese history. According to the legend, Mulan takes her aged father's place in the conscription for the army by disguising herself as a man. After p...

glass plinth
#

lets rephrase that, I dont consider any political body as much better then china

bronze wind
#

that's the basis for all adaptations, Disney's was obviously the most popular

#

but yeah the lead actress making those statements sorta soured me on it, but I honestly wasn't really interested in paying to see it anyways

willow crypt
#

same

#

but that's interesting

#

i don't mind multiple interpretations of an old story

glass plinth
#

Im actually watching a movie on the Spiral Path.

#

Its a story about the earliest native americas and the basis for there common belief systems

#

Then over time them growing apart

austere lance
#

Late to the convo but I'm getting Cyberpunk for $20 so I'm not really worried, lol. I also have normal expectations for it, after watching a couple hours of gameplay from different sources I've established that it's just Deus Ex with a way higher production quality and budget, so I'm sold ๐Ÿ˜†

glass plinth
#

then around 800 years ago coming back together.

#

I wasnt really aware how much Choco was connected to some areas of south america.

raven frost
#

@austere lance I'm just concerned about the potential fallout tbh

#

like if it flops

#

not saying it will but if it did would we have another NMS-type sitch happen

#

and what would change

austere lance
#

It physically can't flop with the amount of pre-orders it already has, lol

silver sparrow
bronze wind
#

yeah I dump on 2077 sometimes but I am interested in it, it looks cool. Just not super interested in how insanely obsessed some people are and how easily they excuse literally anything CDPR does just because TW3

willow crypt
#

if the story is good and the gameplay is satisfying, it shouldn't flop

glass plinth
#

Im curious about the quests

#

CDPR always does so well with them

bronze wind
#

I can sorta excuse bad story if gameplay is fun usually

glass plinth
#

ALSO watch for the horse from witcher 3

#

its hidden in cyberpunk

#

๐Ÿ˜›

silver sparrow
#

cyberhorse2077

bronze wind
#

also again where does this "always" come from

raven frost
#

all I know is that there's an absolute FUCK ton of hype behind it, and it's either gonna be amazing or terrible to the public's eye because of it

glass plinth
#

Haha

raven frost
#

but eh

bronze wind
#

there's like one game for reference lol

willow crypt
#

i can too i suppose, but for a game made by devs that heavily focus on story content, that's where my expectations would lie

glass plinth
#

You know, I just enjoy games based off what I play

#

Ive never been overhyped

#

Im lucky that way i guess

#

I mean thats why i enjoyed nms at release

willow crypt
#

im underhyped

bronze wind
#

i think im average hyped

raven frost
#

I've been burned wayyyyyy too many times with upcoming games tbh so I just try to numb myself from it all

austere lance
#

Last time I bought a CDPR game it was the third game in a series I knew nothing about and I loved it enough to do 4 playthroughs and put 350+ hours into it, buy and read all 8 books, then watch the show when it released. I'll be happy if CP77 hits me half that hard (and judging by the couple hours of gameplay I've watched, it defo will) ๐Ÿ˜†

bronze wind
#

like its cool and ill play it if there aren't reports of horrible performance or bugs

#

but also im not counting the days lol

willow crypt
#

yuh

bronze wind
#

sorta off topic but one thing I love about some of the Spiders games I've played (like Bound by Flame and Greedfall) is they put a lot of detail into customization

#

Like I can get a sword but then also give it a different pommel, wrist guard, handle, etc, and that applies to every armor piece and every weapon type

#

it's limited on an individual level in that there are maybe like 8-10 choices per piece and they are usually the same across a class of item, but it's still a nice level of depth

#

I feel like that level of functional customization is missing from some RPGs and it's what I really enjoy the most

#

it sucks that the rest of the gameplay didn't make those games enjoyable

willow crypt
#

that's too bad

#

and yeah, that deeper level of customization can be nice

austere lance
#

I've played two Spiders games (Mars: War Logs and Technomancer) and only finished the first one cuz it was an entertaining cheap sci fi RPG that didn't try to do anything complicated. Second one was garbage

raven frost
#

individual weapon customization is a massive plus for me in games

bronze wind
#

yeah

#

Fable 3's Hero Weapon is probabyl one of my favorite examples, though it's not exactly customization

raven frost
#

especially in VR titles, like its little things that make a massive difference

bronze wind
#

but having your weapon change with you as you play was just such a cool feeling

austere lance
#

God I hope the Fable reboot has evolving Hero weapons (but better, obviously). Hopefully with much more options too. And more weapons ๐Ÿ˜†

glass plinth
#

And back

raven frost
#

like putting a scope on a gun while playing pavlov and actually seeing your aim improve vs. ironsights rather than it being a stat? bliss.

bronze wind
#

visual changes based on functional equipment (like updating the character model when you equp new armor) is probably my favorite thing. BUt at a more micro level

glass plinth
#

I guess from what the devs were saying, CP77 has about 1 billion weapons

austere lance
#

Lol

glass plinth
#

A absurd level of diversity

bronze wind
#

I think what it has is like 20 weapons but with mods lol

glass plinth
#

Like in borderlands 2

austere lance
#

Yeah, you can build the shit out of your weapons

willow crypt
#

i wanna be a melee broot

glass plinth
#

Hrmm

#

You and I both Zug

willow crypt
#

noice

bronze wind
#

I don't like the marketing numbers, they can just tell me I can customize my weapon tbh

austere lance
#

Nah, Borderlands just had dumb loot crap. CP77 will let you build your damn weapons

willow crypt
#

the diversity in weapons is actually quite high in BL3

#

and the gunplay feels a lot better

bronze wind
#

I liked the loot mechanic though, Borderlands does it well with different companies having different aesthetics and specialties, and certain types of mods changing how the gun looks

willow crypt
#

mhm

bronze wind
#

But when loot is just the same grey rifle but with better stats (Remnant), nah

glass plinth
#

I liked bd2

#

Just because I could get a acid spewing sniper rifle with seismic charged

#

Seriously was almost comedic

bronze wind
#

Pre sequel was kinda fun, i don't think it was as well received though

#

I haven't played 3

glass plinth
#

2 was

willow crypt
#

just a smaller scoped BL game

glass plinth
#

3 is sorta eh

willow crypt
#

haven't finished 3

#

lost interest

#

idk why

bronze wind
#

but yeah being able to make small functional changes to my character and seeing them reflected physically is my gaming kink

glass plinth
#

I think what I liked about the Cp weapons I saw was, it seemed more in line with the lore

#

Like the delayed reaction nano bomb rifle

bronze wind
#

I enjoyed how chunky they sounded

glass plinth
#

they almost had to show that in the demo

austere lance
#

That thermal katana in CP77 has me MOIST

glass plinth
#

hehe

bronze wind
#

I hope they fix some of the bullet sponge looking boss fight stuff though

glass plinth
#

The nano bomb is just cruel.

#

Well that is in line with the lore

bronze wind
#

I remember they released a boss fight teaser and it was just running in circles shooting someone with a gun for 4 minutes or something

austere lance
#

Smart guns look stupidly fun

bronze wind
#

yeah those look neat

glass plinth
#

Some people were so heavily modified, a brute could take a army to take down

austere lance
#

Also, the dismemberment and shit is BRUTAL

glass plinth
#

Unless you just take the head off

bronze wind
#

that's cool but if it's not fun then it should be adjusted

glass plinth
#

Im guessing thats why wall running was taken out

#

Looked cool

#

played bad

bronze wind
#

or give other means to break down the armor or something

austere lance
#

@bronze wind You could avoid that boss fight completely if you made different choices. I think you could sabatoge him beforehand too

bronze wind
#

I enjoy combat though

#

The solution isn't "just don't fight them" lol

austere lance
#

And you do break him down, he has weak points that you cripple one by one

bronze wind
#

yeah by shooting it with one gun for a few minutes

#

it just looked very boring

#

it's not necessarily telling of how all combat will go but they could have used it to showcase some other methods

#

i think the video was like 2 years ago though, so hopefully there is a bit more to it now

cinder vessel
#

started Paradise Killer earlier today, and it's a charming game

#

basically a supernatural mystery visual novel

glass plinth
#

LOl I tried craftopia

#

It may be one of the ludicrously funny games ive played in ages

#

they just said, forget balances, PUT everything in this odd game

#

haha

#

Im sorta worried with combat in cp77 because guns are a lot less expressive then say sword fighting and such in witcher

#

Not to say you cant go melee

#

Im not really worried though

#

Even if its relatively crappy , Ill be fine

#

I dont play games for combat much

#

OH OH!

#

I did see some interesting news from a QA tester site I belong to, They did the low end hardware tests for Cp77.

#

Its looking surprisingly good

austere lance
#

Yee, CDPR does decent optimization (at least in my experience. The game ran fine on my shit original Xbone, lol)

silver sparrow
#

WAPtana

#

oh...stupid scroll jump

#

the thought of cauterizing my adversaries as i bisect them is intriguing....

#

cuts down on the mess

glass plinth

Sounds like a light saber

winter yew
#

You guys played Wasteland 3 right?

#

What the fuck is "Steeltown"?

#

Finished the game, got a rather satisfying ending, and apparently missed one of the big settlements entirely.

winter yew
#

Pretty sure now that I studied wiki, I missed like 3 or 4 locations.

#

and at least 3 other factions

#

So much for replay value, and the feeling of game ending too quickly.

#

Ok, nevermind. Checked the reddit, it's apparently all cut content.

glass plinth
#

Ahh

#

Probably added back at some poiint knowing those devs

winter yew
#

Hopefully. How I learned about those, is from studying game endings.

#

It's all written, it all mentions these locations, but somehow it's nowhere to be seen. Fuck me I even remember some npc's mentioning Steeltown, that's why I thought I just missed it.

winter yew
cinder vessel
#

is that a sequel or expansion DLC

winter yew
#

Neither.

cinder vessel
#

is it in my pocket

winter yew
#

It can be if you order it tbh.

cinder vessel
#

so it's a spoon

winter yew

Prequel to BOTW.

cinder vessel

I'll prequel u

winter yew

cinder vessel
#

Pentagonal

winter yew
#

Rude tbh

cinder vessel
#

Hexagonals have to come from somewhere

#

Prior to hexagonal is pentagonal

crisp sparrow
#

something something bunch of triangles

cinder vessel
#

blergh, i'm starting to see craftopia more & more in my feeds and it reminds me of when Ark was doing that

crisp sparrow
#

I'm genuinely curious about it though

cinder vessel
#

I have this bad feeling it's gonna be another of those eternal Early Access titles that does eventually release but it's still in a messy state

crisp sparrow
#

same that's why its only in my wishlist

cinder vessel
#

The devs only have one other game to their name

#

Guess it may help to see what state that game was left in

#

So they've done Early Access before with another title called Overdungeon

#

Hmm, mostly positive reviews, but more recent mixed reviews with people feeling like it was left unfinished & abandoned

#

๐Ÿค

This game should not have been released with English language support. There is a blurb at the beginning saying how they're a small Japanese team and, due to the intended frequency of updates, they won't be using professional translation services. Basically: "We released this with English language support because that's where the money is, but we can't be asked to actually do it, so we'll be using Google Translate." In a card game.

crisp sparrow
#

oh yikes

winter yew
#

๐Ÿค”

#

Wow.

cinder vessel
#

I suspect that if Overdungeon was left like this, then one may see similar happen with Craftopia

#

In other words game may be fun & such, but poorly explained & translated, unless it blows up & they can afford a localization team

#

Oh well, the devs seem to mean well for the most part, and have some silly ideas, so here's to hoping things work out for them

glass plinth
#

HA!

#

All the reason I play it in japanese!

#

Crafttopia is really fun, just a sorta wtf mix of stuff

#

Honestly, its rare to see a japanese indie studio try such a style of game

#

More power to the attempt

#

Still, hehe I didnt mind losing the money trying it, I knew the risk.

cinder vessel
#

well, congrats you can read the Japanese, I guess, lol

glass plinth
#

No no, I use software i got back from when i played lineage 2 in korean

#

It screen scans text, converts to english

#

MUUUUCH better translation

cinder vessel
#

Oh. Better than typical autotranslate, i take it?

glass plinth
#

1000 times, illegal as hell

cinder vessel
#

lmao

glass plinth
#

People use it for a load of bad reasons

#

I dont

#

LOl

cinder vessel
glass plinth
#

A shame so many powerful tech tools arent accessible for that reason

#

They are TOO powerful

cinder vessel
#

Ooooh, I think I know what you mean

winter yew
#

I too enjoy reading illegal foreign characters.

glass plinth
#

If you ever used project entropia, we used screen capturing to map our drops of ore

cinder vessel

Or in elite dangerous to map whole world features

#

ha, funny hexa

#

I actually have a old scanner with symbol scan tech

#

It can scan a document with henscratch writing, or almost anything and make it readable

cinder vessel
#

The project, at this time called Project Entropia, set out to develop an Internet based 3D experience with continents so big it would take days to cross them by foot.

glass plinth
#

Honestly made maybe 300 bucks off that game

#

the real money economy is just gambling

#

hehe

#

Its addictive as hell

#

A loooot of people shell cash out

#

So yeah, thats why

#

Money

#

Also, what the heck, there a gob of cb77 leaks on the QA tester site, people are getting banned left and right

#

its a blood bath

#

gah, i hope none of this stuff gets leaked.

#

Seems the last few years the QA community is getting hit more and more by idiots

#

What pisses me off is, Ive worked with some of these guys 15 years and yet they still decide to leak sometimes. I mean, what the hell

spiral shell
#

ok who has seen Prometheus?

#

yeah I know I've been drinking my dumb bitch juice,,, but seriously I want to address a debate

willow crypt

yes

no debate aeyes

#

bye

spiral shell
#

Some people say Daniel got "permission" from Dr. Holloway to spike his drink with the alien black goo.

wide kestrel
#

that movie

spiral shell
#

by simply asking some metaphysical question about "how far would you go?"

wide kestrel
#

in the end they "turned on the ion thrusters" and the ship went fast

spiral shell
#

in the atmosphere though!!

wide kestrel
#

ion rockets are used because of long term fuel efficiency

#

NOT BECAUSE THEY GO FAST

#

THAT FUCKING PISSED ME OFF

#

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

spiral shell
#

QUESTION MARKS

#

REEEEEEEEEE

unique lark
#

And fuel efficiency isn't really a problem out of orbit

spiral shell
#

same but it was an ok movie overall

wide kestrel
#

actually no matter where you're going, if you have extra weight, it requires extra fuel

unique lark
#

Just give yourself a quick big boost while in space and you'll keep going until interrupted by another force

wide kestrel
#

orbit just requires a lot of fuel

unique lark
#

Since no gravity or air resistance to slow you down

wide kestrel
#

you get to the place faster if you go faster

spiral shell
#

that is technically true

unique lark
#

Like for example once you get out of earths and the moons orbital influence and say you were going to Mars, you just need to give yourself one really quick big thrust and you'll keep heading that direction

spiral shell
#

best kind of truth too

wide kestrel
#

yeah but that would take a long time

unique lark
#

But burning fuel all the way between planets isn't efficient or practical at all

cinder vessel
#

you get to the place faster if you go faster
@wide kestrel that's illegal

willow crypt
#

just remember

#

the turtle beat the hair

#

don't forget

#

ttyl

wide kestrel
#

But burning fuel all the way between planets isn't efficient or practical at all
The movie clearly showed them using their rockets in interstellar space.

unique lark
#

Yes, you could burn fuel to get there faster but you're gonna need a lot of fuel if you plan to burn it the whole way to another planet

#

What movie

wide kestrel
#

Not only that, they were almost to the planet and they were still accelerating.

#

We're talking about a movie.

#

Prometheus.

cinder vessel
#

i wonder how effectively ineffective throwing stuff into the nearest star and letting its "burps" push your vessel would be

unique lark
#

I literally have no idea what was happening before this I just saw some space stuff and joine in

wide kestrel
#

why not just bring back the Orion Project?

#

i can see nothing wrong with tossing a nuke behind a spaceship

unique lark
#

But there's no point in using your rockets in Interstellar space unless your changing course

wide kestrel
#

ofc

spiral shell
unique lark
#

Nukes are almost useless in space

wide kestrel
#

but i thought we were still talking about the movie

spiral shell
#

so ive been rewatching it like some mad woman

#

I even learned the opening page music on my saxophone

#

A MAD WOMAN

cinder vessel
#

sormac having a fixated moment

wide kestrel
#

bruh I was being sarcastic

unique lark
#

The most powerful part is the shockwaves, there's no air for it to travel in, so no shockwave, and the fire goes out almost immediately also bc of no air to fuel

#

Oh

#

Sorry

wide kestrel
#

I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU

#

REEEEEEEEEE

spiral shell

I'm such a space nerd

unique lark

I can and have gone on for like 2 and a half hours about space stuff

i'm just a mad scientist, i have a crude grasp of scientific concepts that i try to stretch to wrong/breaking points

the movies in 4k @willow crypt catch up

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Orion_(nuclear_propulsion)
@wide kestrel I have done some work on the F16 aqnd F35 projects that relate to Orion... ye old "use the nukes to make us go fast" approach to going vroooooom

Project Orion was a study of a spacecraft intended to be directly propelled by a series of explosions of atomic bombs behind the craft (nuclear pulse propulsion). Early versions of this vehicle were proposed to take off from the ground (with significant associated nuclear fall...

unique lark

Anyway, anytime someone starts talking about realistic space/sci-fi, ping me bc I would probably join in and or correct them

cinder vessel
#

i want humanity to encounter extraterrestrials so much and have them just fuckin' be like, "yeah so uhhh, you're wrong about this, this, & this"

#

"Also why haven't you guys gotten into tongue-modding so you can taste these flavors"

unique lark
#

Yeah imagine we meet a species that's like a Kardeshev 3 or 4 to us but to everyone else they're like primitive

sand marsh

We will be like ants to them

or, a somewhat likely circumstance: the only ET's we find are just slime

sand marsh

they are like capable of travelling light years

We will be to them like how monkeys are to us

I'll take any type of life

why're they good for colonization?

Imagine playing an alpha and getting upset about bugs and broken things; I understand its meant to help devs get their game going but with the mentality of gamers its just an awful idea

Its also funny watching gamers watch an older game they loved

Suddenly its like "did it always look this bad?" Etc

crisp sparrow

is this about windbound or some other

General statements

crisp sparrow
#

oh ok

full pivot
#

For a more specific one the constant complaining that only now somehow games get released with major bugs that affect progression or gameplay and how devs get slammed for it

crisp sparrow
#

yeah ranting about bugs in a clearly "early access" "alpha" game is stupid, just report the bugs like the devs intend you to do and move on or just dont play it until its addressed

You're essentially paying $15/month for the console via the all access plan

Given that gamepass ultimate is $15 on its own and ea play is $5

Plenty of lore like that in ME2, yeah. It's a great read.

Pretty sure I remember reading about a planet that had a giant artificial "canyon", and how it was implied that some big ass weapon left it by scratching the planet.

#

so uh

crisp sparrow
#

I'm gonna retry My Time at Portia

#

and try to "finish" it this time around

austere lance
crisp sparrow
#

it seems... generic?

austere lance
#

Um. Dune is the original. Star Wars ripped it off to the point that the creator of Dune could have sued George Lucas

crisp sparrow
#

no no I didnt mean it like that

#

I mean visually

austere lance
#

With the sandy planet and stuff?

#

Or with the tech stuff

crisp sparrow
#

the camerawork, the usual "let's make everything have a slight green-blue like every serious drama movie", the CGI

#

I guess as much as the David Lynch movie was bad, it had a certain charm to it you know

bronze wind
#

i agree, it does look kinda generic and the music they chose for the trailer doesn't help

#

the extremely overused bass drop at scene transitions or iconic actions in the trailer feels so cheesy and boring

crisp sparrow
#

exactly - for the people who dont know about Dune they'll think its just a star wars clone lol

#

some sort of pretty cash grab

#

this could have been the perfect moment to try something visually more distinct, like say making it look more retrofuture with the use of colour

bronze wind
#

I'll give it a chance because I've seen some amazing movies then watched the trailer and thought "good thing I didn't watch this first" because it is just done so poorly

#

Like hereditary had an intentionally misleading trailer that made it look like a pretty typical horror

#

I sorta saw it because there weren't any other horrors coming out and now it's one of my favorite movies

crisp sparrow
#

right but I already know some of Dune, unless the movie changes the visuals/camerawork and this was just a bad trailer cut then sure otherwise I doubt it

bronze wind
#

yeah for sure

#

one thing I enjoy is them casting oscar isaac though, really enjoy him

crisp sparrow
#

coarse swift
#

||The items bit is key, you face the risk of your doppelganger dropping literally anything but microbots if you pick stuff up||

That's the only way to get it in logbook. Another way to acquire the item itself is to run Artifact of Metamorphosis, as it'll carry across survivors

dry copper
#

I was denied a steam return on a game that didn't even work properly. I had 10 mins over the time limit of gameplay (thats how long I tried to get it to play), but steam refused the refund for it. It soured me on the developer when steam essentially tried to argue the developers would be working on the game to fix the issues...It wasn't an early access. It was a shitty game. Whether it's shitty now, who knows. I refuse to give those shits any of my playtime.

#

I was going to jump back in on the new update.

#

everyone was grinding the vault runs for the mods

#

๐Ÿ˜ฌ

#

a friend of mine was running them nonstop trying to get mods from the necramechs

#

he's gonna be so annoyed lol

#

the update is pretty cool, not hard to max out standing with the new faction if you keep to a pretty steady pattern

#

it's an infested open world thingy, lots of new weapons, companions and you get to build a mech

#

I'm going to give it a serious chance this time. I have a measly low 100 hours playtime.
I really enjoyed it and can't remember the reason why I didn't go back to it.

#

probably the grind and wait-time between building stuff

willow crypt
#

The grind becomes tiresome

#

It is enjoyable at times

#

There is a real feeling of progression which is rewarding

#

Just usually gotta take year long breaks in between

winter yew
#

Is there options to jump on to something else whilst waiting for something else?

#

oh yeah there's lots of activities

#

there's currently three open-world maps on three different planets, the whole star-chart to go through, and quests to go through, just lots of stuff.

#

When I played before I was decently stunned how much there was to do for a F2P game.

#

I obviously didn't make it very far though with the short time I did play.

#

they at least have 'checkpoints' between the planets to give you an idea of what you need to work on next

#

once you complete those objectives you get to fight a warframe and move on to the next planet

#

Nice, nice.
I might even jump back in tomorrow, I haven't got a whole lot going on this weekend.

#

ok I watched the video @full pivot and I still have a question

#

what's a bugsnax

full pivot
#

why does it seem off?

#

bugsnax is the island and the bug snacks

#

and you become what you eat ๐Ÿ˜›

#

๐ŸŽถ ITS BUGSNAX ๐ŸŽถ

winter yew

@winter yew
@coarse swift WTF

pinnacle of gaming

austere lance
#

It's the game of the century

thorn dawn
#

But

#

what is a bugsnax

austere lance
#

Cyberpunk is nothing in comparison

full pivot
#

OUR ENTIRE HISTORY HAS LED TO THIS POINT

austere lance

CDPR prays to the Bugsnax devs every morning before work

thorn dawn

and why do you eat a bugsnax

bugsnack

#

if they're alive surely that's torture

#

and why do your hands turn to bugsnax

full pivot
thorn dawn

I'm pretty sure this is an actual nightmare I had once

the truth

#

like im unironically looking forward to it lmao

#

as well

thorn dawn
#

what's the age rating

#

is this like, a horror game with a cutesy facade

full pivot
#

that's what i wanna know

#

apparently people think its fucked up under the surface haha

thorn dawn
#

" Likely to be rated PEGI 7."

full pivot
#

cant wait for it to be rated for kids and yet still be creepy

#

things used to be like that

austere lance
#

What was Psychonauts rated lonk

thorn dawn
#

T / 12

austere lance
#

Apparently it was rated T. Odd, I always thought of it as a kids game

thorn dawn
#

games were rated more harshly in the past

#

remember hot coffee?

#

rockstar had to recall GTA:SA because it had a sex minigame with nothing visible on the disk, completely inaccessible unless you modified your console/had a memory editor

#

One of the more recent far cry games had the protagonist meeting a lady biblically POV, didn't even get an AO rating

austere lance
#

Lol. Witcher 3 had a lot worse than that and was only rated M

#

Or at least a lot more of that stuff ๐Ÿ˜†

raven frost
#

far cry 3 had boobies ๐Ÿคช

#

and 4 too iirc

austere lance
#

And Primal

#

And Watch Dogs 2

#

And Assasins Creed Origins

#

These things aren't new, lol

#

Ubi has slowly been giving less and less of a shit about how mature their games are, lol

thorny grove
#

Remember primal from ps2

cinder vessel
#

"mature"

#

yes

thorny grove
#

What a strange game

cinder vessel
#

that was what i immediately thought of, lol

thorny grove
#

Yup lol

#

The hell was the little gargoyles things name

Didnโ€™t those guys also do medievil

winter yew

Gotta say tho, this one's sick as hell.

Talking in another server about why I disliked Metro Exodus and I thought this seemed like good reasoning but apparently I'm crazy. No idk if my game was broken or what but this was I did for like 4 hours til I gave up

balmy plaza
#

My main problem with it is how clunky it felt to me

willow crypt
#

supposed to feel clunky

#

Metro Exodus is game of the year for me, or at least top 3

#

i don't remember framerate dropping when going through bushes

#

it's not always desired, but guns in a post apocalyptic setting would be rusty, unreliable pieces of junk.

balmy plaza
#

It was mostly the movement for me

#

Maybe it just wasn't to my taste though

#

That being said I had a few problems with the gunplay too

austere lance
#

My framerate didn't drop in bushes, my character literally slowed to a crawl

winter yew
#

Played and finished Metro Exodus on my GTX950 i5 4430, was a pretty decent experience. But on the other hand I simply loved 2033 and Last Light, so, dunno maybe eventual shortcomings I was blind to.

willow crypt
#

ohh right. i remember you mentioning that, Soul

winter yew
#

Movement? It worked. Different environments? Check. Car driving? Great. Atmosphere? Oh boy.

willow crypt
#

those are the reasons i love it. and the story

#

and characters

winter yew
#

And loved the idea of this mobile home of yours, also gun maintenance was great.

willow crypt
#

yeah. the train journey was so cool

#

picking up new friends along the way

winter yew
#

Oh yeah, story's great too. Wonder if they'll ever develop a sequel.

#

or another sequel I guess.

willow crypt
#

these things outweigh gameplay for me usually.

#

it's the third game. i'd say it's likely

winter yew
#

I guess the ending was fitting, and satisfying, so dunno. :/

willow crypt
#

it was a solid end

#

quite emotional, honestly

winter yew
#

Oh well guess that's good to know. ๐Ÿ˜„

willow crypt
#

the drive back where ||the father slowly dies in the passenger seat|| and the particular song playing actually made me quite emotional.

#

noice.
