I love comic book stuff so that's kinda the only reason I'm interested lol
Also I'm sorry but most of that was another language to me, I don't play LoL
its fine i just needed a place to vent
Support will always be the toughest class only because people rip on it so much
all good, pls feel free to continue @agile igloo
just didn't want it to seem like I was intentionally ignoring lol
If someone dies, the support gets the blame
I've a friend who mains support in a non-league game and she's great but even then she gets some hate every now and then
support gang
I suck at support but love when someone is supporting me

I'm more or a flex usually
Not great at any particular class, but individual characters
I don't play League so I've no idea
I usually prefer characters with a bit of mobility and some DOT skills, or massive damage skills with a more defensive play style
So no opinions on dayz i reckon
@cinder vessel It does not undermine their argument at all. They want to identify points of contention they can win on first. If they can win against Apple in this case, they will establish case law that can be used as evidence in future cases. It's called pushing the envelope and is the foundation for the most case law jurisprudence.
@daring spear Do you know any good sources of literary analysis on the works of Poets of the Fall? I was analyzing "Angel" and the lyrics, full of metaphor and allegory made me review the rest of their discography...and it seems to be a running theme. ...and maybe that seems obvious to a fan, but in reading lyrics as a part of music appreciation I find some interesting parallels in musicians that write music that is allegorical in nature and those who construct more complex layered notations for their melodies. I'm interested in finding resources on the research if it exists.
I don't know of any actual sources, and anything I've seen if that nature is fan theory and people making the connections on their own. Marko isn't that direct about most of his stuff so finding sources explaining it all usually ends up with him saying something along the lines of "it can be interpreted differently by everyone"
I've noticed that the songs do seem to be connected though. Most of them anyway
I spent a while picking apart Angel as well. I did find an interview where he says that hummingbirds are usually used to symbolize rebirth or new beginnings
It's also speculated that the jester in Daze and the character in the fortune teller in Carnival of Rust are the same character at different points
@dry copper poorly phrased on my part i guess, but it still looks off. Microsoft & Sony arguably have even more of a monopoly on their hardware than either Apple or Google, and seeing as Microsoft & Sony are in the games industry you'd think they'd go for them more.
Funny you mention Apple, because I thought amanita designs new game Creaks was only going to be on Apple arcade, but I just now saw it on the PlayStation store
Immediate purchase
192 minutes, my god
Wish they finally released Machinarium 2.
Loved Machinarium
I kind of appreciate that they make so many original games and not sequels
HOLY SHIT it's already awesome
And then fkn 3 samorost titles, ye. π
Oh yeah
192 minutes, my god
@acoustic solar that's nothin, I've had a 230+ minute run
@waxen crane is railjack your wings in space?
ye i don't know thay
Think of it as getting to build your own freighter and go on space missions
The clones rekt me
lmao
It's fun
They 2 shot me if I'm not behind a wall
Gonna need to get that vitality upgraded
I only upgrade damage oopsy
Yeah melee is kinda the meta rn
I have a hard time keeping focus after 60 or 80 minutes in risk of rain
Too much chaos
Risk of rain 2 just came out of early access
I'm used to BoI or NA games
Ye
Again a rogue like that i will rush
Moreover it's MP
Night
gnite
goodnight watermalone
Lol
Melee is a meta because it has critical/status % scaling based on combo count
Best tip ever: if you're having trouble in Warframe, it's not your gear. It's your mods.
Also rolling messes with enemy aim rampup and gives damage reduction while rolling
Horrible
Check for guides. There are so so many
Warframe.builder, YouTube, the forums
are warframes broken or can i stay with my beloved exca?
slash swing
He has an augment that gives his blade extremely high status chance
Look into Life Strike or Healing Return to heal

Damn I'm impressed
I detect biass
I need to sleep
Sleep
Gn for the last time

She's less than a year old
tfw my pun goes unnoticed
always has been
She's less than a year old
@charred badge We don't talk about that
Gn for the last time
ye ye
Sleep deep
In Satisfactory when you load a save offline you must find the place you logged off while online, kill a mannequin of yourself, then take your stuff. Same ordeal when you log in online. I have to hunt a mannequin of myself in this mess.
I'm confused
That's weird
Is that all of your creation?
Looks like a POI
Damn that game looks rather satisfactory.
What do you feel when you kill your clone

Every time I kill a clone, I feel less and less.
@charred badge wtf is that
A riven
yike, that recoil
Explain yourself hacker
The recoil does nothing on Kohm
It melts
π
Rivens are dumb
How do you find these?
You get a few from main quests, and late game frame quest if you buy the frame first, but most come from the daily sorties
Oh, there are sentinel gun and archgun ones from some shop somewhere
Void relics sry
Complete Second Dream and War Within to get access to rivens Pluton
I will see tomorrow
Void relics come from nearly every part of the game
You open them in fissure missions, but you need their nodes unlocked, and they're randomly selected from almost the whole map
Yup got some weapons and warframe parts
But it was a little bit hard i remember
I was carried by random guys
wait this isn't a deckbuilding game?
What? No. But very vaguely kinda.
Basically every bit of weaponry or Character uses a set grid of mod slots.
Mods come as cards.
Complexity comes in making the most out of the limited space and power capacity
The mod system is probably the most interesting part of the game
@charred badge don't you put a riven?
there aren't warframe rivens yet
Tbh modding weapons is a some kind of deck building.
deimos hype!
Really hoping we'll be able to own those skateboard bugs and be able to use em in plains/vallis
tbh deployable mechs would also be dope, but I bet those are native and unique to deimos itself, shame but what can you do.
standard comment when Warframe comes up, ping me when they make an offline single-player spinoff set in its universe
lol
15% chance to get useless shitty scrap from dismantling weapons, right?
15 fucking chance. rest is various mods. Aiming to get a long barrel cause I'm missing one.
Nope, got fucking shit scrap trice in a row.
I'm confused you keep going back to it when the odds always seem to drive you mad
@cinder vessel dark sector
Cause it's a well not good, but decent game filled with stupid ass shit like this!
Like, look at this shit.
bugframe best frame
I get that long barrel will take a lot of save scumming, sure, but fucking PARTS. 85% chance to get LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE, and I'm getting FUCKING PARTS.
also interception hud's all kinds of fucky, ye.
sometimes one point's missing, sometimes one point's permanently one color, sometimes it's both.
The disparity is amusing
yeah steel path gets base level and slaps 100 on top, so earth's by default lvl 3.
nightmare offers challenge for those lvl 3's, steel path is their attempt at end game.
poor attempt I might add, but they're trying, so kudos to em.
number based endgame never does well
btw if you want to cheese new jackal, titania is dumb
I'm going to fucking slap a bitch.
is there a stat that affects the odds?
no sneaky ones like Luck?
heh
this time I got 15 shitty useless fucking parts, yay.
4th time in a row
15% chance FUCKING LET'S GO WOOOOO
oh jesus fuck finally
Mean, isn't it refreshing that you only get one part from the entire gun? That if you want specific parts you have to load the game a thousand times? That % chances are utter horseshit? That you can't influence the outcome in any god damn way?
All that screams to me good game design. π
Well fuck it, it's in the past now. The baby's complete.
RNG sucks
You think? π
but seriously it doesn't bring anything to the table, it's just fucking shit.
@winter yew hey what is this game?
Wasteland 2
It's all yadda yadda about the game that inspired Fallout franchise, etc etc.
It's cool, just filled with bullshit moments like this. π
Critically acclaimed and commercially successful, Wasteland was intended to be followed by two separate sequels, but Electronic Arts' Fountain of Dreams was turned into an unrelated game and Interplay's Meantime was cancelled. The game's general setting and concept became the basis for Interplay's 1997 role-playing video game Fallout, which would extend into the Fallout series. Game developer inXile Entertainment released a sequel, Wasteland 2, in 2014. Wasteland 3 is scheduled for release on August 28, 2020. Wasteland Remastered was released on February 25, 2020. Well, more than that, but you get the point. π
Well yeah. I suppose it's a survival game in a post-apocalyptic world?
Sorta
Yep. Isometric n all that.
but not survival game in the modern sense really
not as much survival, no, but you know. Like fallouts.
The only turn-based game like that I've ever enjoyed was Xcom, lol
Aka open map, locations, quests, objective, and do whatever.
I tried Wasteland 2 and noooooo
I didn't rly like fallout 4 (the only i played)
Start is like, pure fucking horseshit gotta say.
Not enough diversity.
Once your shitty rangers learn some weapon skills it's much more enjoyable.
Yeah logic
Tbh Wasteland 2 reminds me a whole lot of The Fall.
Only somehow a shittier version of The Fall.
Fall had survival mechanics, working vehicles, dunno was much more enjoyable to me. π
F4 wasn't even a damn Fallout game, lol. Just a shooter with waaaaay less RPG stuff than previous games
Ye calling fallout 4 a fallout game, is like calling Arcania 4 a gothic game tbh.
It was all blue and brown stuff.
Not enough colors even if it's postapocalyptic
And the story... meh
Maybe i chose the wrong side
You sure you were playing fallout 4.
cause 4's like the fucking rainbow, overwhelming with color compared to every other game. π
ye and it was kinda boring
i will never start again to do another Side honestly
I will prefer creating a 28th character on skyrim
Skyrim?
i prefer that to f4
yes skyrim
and there are lots of colours with the plants
Bruh it's just endless green and mountains π
it's so bland
Nah it's bland in 2 cities lmao
You need some mods, my boi
why disassembly gives one part: the survivor takes it apart with a hammer and leatherman
Gaah, this thing is small!
There's some beautiful flora mods for it
wow that toothpick is tiny
the purpl thing?
Itβs a tiny Energy Sword.
you need some mods
base game fail
2011 was a bland time, my boi π
the tiniest βWort wort wortβ
i mean you're not wrong
You don't even need a lot of mods, if you want more color and life it takes like 2
Hell, maybe one
still not a v. good game imo
yeah, games should have funny things baked in
looks like jump king
I mean, it's a medieval Bethesda RPG

Shovel Knight
this is scarily accurate to current events
Yeah.
nah i sometimes like AAA stuff, Tetris Effect's great, Control was wicked, and Dishonored's ace
I often like them but meh
Dishonored π©
Nobody is mentioning the damn free update for Control coming when the DLC drops, smh
but i do find myself leaning more towards indie stuff, mostly because they tend to have more focus
Is that the no death free update?
More innovation
I have Prey and have yet to play it π©
are the load times any better on PC?
I'd imagine so
prey is ok tier
I'm disappointed at the lack of Crimson Skies on the window store

Y
yeah wtf microsoft
mmm this is still just as good as the first time
Same game as the plague screenshot?
nah, that's warframe again
Speaking of plague, A Plague Tale is a damn good game
nah, they're still around. We just have limited contact because we're busy murdering
the syndicates are our main contacts, or were until we started hanging out at cetus/fortuna
Plenty of humies to go around, ye.

Suspicious emails: unclaimed insurance bonds, diamond-encrusted safe deposit boxes, close friends marooned in a foreign country. They pop up in ...
no?
I look for the particles
then again I've played the game enough I can pretty much guess where it is lol
You just gotta look hard or activate a shrine of the mountain
After a while yeah, you tend to figure out where it could be

MC Dalton
Welcome back, Woop
Hi hi hi hi
I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn and I just can't get into it. It feels so...Contrived. I find the voice actor for Aloy pathetically unconvincing and the story only barely tangible.
but I like the combat....that's fun.
Holy shit the world is big...and hilly af...making it a massive task to travel from one area to another. I don't want to fast travel, because i like to explore, but I'm so tempted
@winter yew for me it's just two little spikes, i spent 15 mins on a zone...
oh so shrine of the mountain was that thing i didn't understand
then i got one shoted by 3 flame guys
Oh yeah fucking fast travel. love when in oblivion you can just ignore travel completely since all major cities can be teleported to. π
On the other hand, fuck me, travelling in morrowind could be painful.
I know there's some kind of fast travel in morrowind as well, but it's not nearly as convenient as in later instalments, plus dunno but map from morrowind seemed fkn colossal when compared to oblivion for example.
I'd lose my fuckin shit, ngl
https://comicbook.com/gaming/news/batman-arkham-batman-beyond-game-dc-fandome/
@lime pike avorion doesn't look to have on planet stuff tho?
Correct
But itβs also an RTS
You just scroll out and boom
Itβs like space engineers kinda but without The boring parts
hmmm
I would highly suggest It if you wanna drop some hours in another MP space game
i have zero interest in MP
MP is optional
But there are bosses and factions and trading and crews and multi ship and RTS control, if you want, optional. And salvaging
RPG elements and of course that lego/space engineer feel
Make a bigger shield gen if you have the materials
Before you go in and fight that boss or those pirates
Or warp your army there and have them duke it out
Build a space station a system away to rebuild
Or capture systems and control The galaxy
It's taken 4 friggin hours but I finally have decent-ish combat stuff unlocked in KH II, lol

Worst ferrite farm ever
kek

hoooooooh holy fuck
I entered this gold portal and I fought this gold boss and it took me like an hour but I got it
do WHAT
cool...?
astrofar
i bought ghost recon wildlands and i think ultimately it's what i wanted far cry 5 to be
OH FUCK IS HE MY FRIEND NOW
wild lands is good. Got it for $5 when it was on sale. Best $5 ever but definitely not worth anymore. @silver sparrow
@winter yew morrowind basically had a poorly planned suburb transit system
pfft silt striders > horses any day
Kinda sad seeing the last strider in Skyrim
wat
are you saying skyrim killed silt striders because the team was creatively bankrupt
No? Actually I don't remember if it's the last silt strider, it's the only one on the island you visit in Skyrim tho
lol
really though, Bethesda will have to hit it out of the park with the next Elder Scrolls game or I'll just have to write that series off
Morrowind seems like it was just the exception to the rule with the series insofar as creative fantasy goes
Jesus that's depressing. I Googled the lonely silt strider in Skyrim and apparently the eruption of Red Mountain in Morrowind wiped out her species and the guy you find in the game with her is sorta just spending time with her til she dies

folks that don't actively follow games, maybe, yeah
Well eruption of red mountain was a cataclysmic event.
Plus yeah, you could use striders, you could use ships, mage guild halls had teleportation rooms, but ye, it was never you know, easy. π
Pretty sure you can't just go from one town to any other towns, rather you have to follow a elaborate network of jumping between towns. Plus early on, you don't know any names, you don't have any cash, ye.
@cinder vessel Who needs skyrim when you have Pillars of Eternity based game: Avowed?
I trust Obsidian to make a good RPG more than Bethesda
I imagine Avowed will come out before Elder Scrolls 6
Most likely, I'm just waiting for Starfield atm
I have to do an exam today on human relations. I am not a fan of humans or relating.
Dunno how to help ya, I dislike humans and I have no social life

Wish you the best
what RPGs have taught me, you could threaten or flirt your way out of it
That game was fun in MP
So I guess the name of ES6 is Hammerfell
Map-wise about the same size as Skyrim
Yeah read up on it a little while ago, not a whole lot of info, also lots of fake news. I'm more interested in the next Baldurs Gate and Dragon age
Also Fable but that's probably long way off too
One cool thing they did tho
If you know who the skyrim grandma is
Bethesda invited her to the studio and they're making a character modeled after her
Sweet n fluffy news
The lady who had to quit playing because of the amount of abuse she took
I watched her goodbye videp
video
She said it was negative people were physically causing her ill
She said she reads everyone's stuff
but the doctors say she's got high blood pressure and it's negatively impacting her health
So....She quit
Oh I think I saw that, it wasnt a goodbye video, just one addressing her concerns. She took a step back a bit, but I'm pretty sure she's posting
I'm gonna check tho, but I swear I saw her uploading
Yeah she's still uploading
She's still posting apparently
I guess the break wasn't permanent
It was....
1 month
Yeah, I enjoy watching her videos so I'm glad she's still going
That's alot for someone who posts every couple days
She's a gem, she deserves breaks. Been trying to get my grandma to game but she's so stubborn.
Figured I'd start her on Animal Crossing
I know shed actually enjoy it if shed take the time to learn, but she thinks tech is evil
Sorry kind of blabbering

surprised she doesn't have someone curating her social media to filter out negative stuff
I wonder if she makes any money doing the videos
To at least pay for a PR firm to represent her interests against the psychotic people online
From what I could gather from watching her vids periodically, it seems like she takes everything very seriously. When she plays games she treats the world like she actually in the room observing everything, she seems to do the same with her community
Basically if it's negative bs and not constructive, she never sees it. If it's negative and constructive, it's reworded and presented to her, etc
I think she has a younger family member that helps her out
I can just see CHina's response to skyrim gramma
A cadre of chinese grammas trapped in a basement all forced to play ungodly hours
All forced to play modded games with advertisements stuck in them
Sounds about right
games all have a photo mode these days π works for me tho
ok game decided to be creepy and wish me a happy birthday xD
but not like in a good way
I did one of the shouting into nothing thing and the echo came back saying "i hope your birthday is the best" x.x
Oh that's interesting
Sooo it's your Bday?...Happy Bday
I know kojima had stuff setup in MGS5 for birthdays
And if it's not your Bday, then a very unhappy birthday to you
thank you π
i got a hat
well at least if nothing else happens Death Stranding has wished me happy birthday like 3 times xD
any good programs that let me use keyboard for mouse inputs?
My middle click fkn broke, had to gut it out, and ye. Kinda wish it didn't.
wait I've been at this fkn shit for an hour now?
without ten minutes yeah.
Just my fucking magic, if I want to kill a chat, just ask for help.
oh ffs, finally. Figured it out, love how the simplest idea was to download autohotkey then write a fucking script...
i can't answer "is it worth it" questions because the answer is different for everyone
Depends on what's of value to you more. Your time, sense of completion?
Cause sure, you can go back, build them highways, connect the grid, max every location to 5 stars.
So, btw. Anyone hyped about riftbreaker maybe releasing sometime in 2020? Anyone...? π
You play the role of captain Ashley S. Nowak - you are the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist/commando inside a powerful Mecha-Suit. Enter a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a distant planet at the far reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy, with the purpose of building up a base that will...
Sometime in 2020.
Been following this game for like, year and a half, recently finished the demo, and gotta say, good stuff.
Exploration is very fun in DS
Getting from point a to b and finding new NPCs/progressing the story was the most satisfying experience I probably ever have had in a video game
DS looks good but I worry slightly that it's trying too hard to be some long movie
I didn't mind that
I just dont like long cutscenes and extra pointless shit like taking a bath or shaving or whatever
I did get bored first time round but that might be because there was another game I wanted at the time I'm not sure
Whether or not I enjoy a game completely depends on my mindset and what other games are out there at the moment so I know what you mean
It's crazy how our taste changes and games that used to not seem interesting to us all of a sudden become intriguing
It is interesting how our interests change over time, even within the same hobby
When I was a kid and teenager I liked shooters with badass dudes and rhythm games. Then it turned into RPGs with anime girls, and roguelikes
Still like shooters and rhythm games a lot tho
Mhm
A lot of first person shooters like to keep doing the same thing over and over again, but I appreciate when I see a new one pop up that innovates and tells a new story
It's also crazy how games can change your life in big ways too
It's difficult to make an original FPS, with new ideas popping up all the time
And yes Papa I know exactly what you mean
NMS and elite are the reasons I'm doing what I do today, and by extension if it wasn't for NMS I would have different friends and live somewhere else
I may have told this story here before, but I got Star Ocean 3 for my 14th birthday and it changed my life
Was a huge influence on me
when games let me name stuff, things like this happen.
If NMS hadnt been created, I would most likely still have a bad fear of infinite distance. NMS helped me so much with that
LOL what game is that
stardew valley
Bongs
I can get a mod for it all about growing cannabis apparently
Nice
I have a bong sitting directly in front of me atm
glass?
@acoustic solar NMS helped you with infinite distances? NMS isn't even as big as The Milky Way.
yah ew make me lauigh
9mm that your cone size? otherwise that is a tiny oil dispenser my dude
Let that sink in
Mumbles it's mainly looking off into space or the sky that feels infinite
Beccause you cant see the other side
That is everywhere in NMS and helped me a lot
Amak that's the thickness of the glass
My bowl is 14mm
anyone own stardew valley and want to play co-op I can send you my modpack but once I finish this one going to try the extended mod. Just pm me if interested
@acoustic solar fancy. My bong I traded 1g of bud for. Win. Glass, better than the ice breaker (ice coffee) container and garden hose I was using haha
@dry copper nms is multiple times the size of the milky way
It's like 52.8 thousand ly across
Plus all the other galaxies in NMS
And euclid is like 800000 ly across
@acoustic solar want to play a game that feels massive elite dangerous just feels insane. Like apparently those are all 'real' stars we have charted for real
with out crazy cool giant knob telescopes
our*
Elite dangerous is too big an undertaking for someone like me
I joined a group for newbies discord and at one stage they held like 6 systems now they are back down to 2
Does not feel worth even trying the minor powerplay stuff if its that easy to lose crap
1 month you have 6 systems, 1-2 months later you have 2, stuff that.
NMS is just the right amount of complexity, I fear ED would be a step beyond that
and that was only against a.i not even other clans
I stand corrected. NMS is 400k LY in diameter. Milky way is 105,700LY in diameter.
I like realistic complexity, like hellion the unheardof spacegame. brutal af. Love ED space combat and flying ships, love NMS building bases on planets etc just wish I had more of it all
I liked in hellion you have to use gravity to chart your space course and "fling" yourself around slingshot off planets, fuel being very limited. Thought that was great.
That does sound neat
I can't wait to see what next gen does for space games
I tried SC but that just feels like its taking the piss. All hand crafted "walk slow and look at my beautiful wall' no real niche to it yet.
SC should be renamed The Neverending Story
one mission it wanted me to deliver cargo, I had to pickup each box and carry it to my ship took 1-2min in just running for 1 box. Its the future as if robots cant load my ship but also let me watch cmon gee.
Sc is just an early access money maker. They have no reason to actually release the thing
If they'd have left it a few years, I bet development would have gone a lot faster
its supposed to be "what freelancer is meant to be" thats why it got kickstarted
because whatshis face was forced by microsoft to finish freelancer short, sounded like it was a whole duke nukem but for space fiasco
SC forever lol
I'm not touching the SC universe with a 10 foot pole until I'm 60 years old and it's actually done
Kek
I have an acc jump on maybe twice a year
last time I landed on a planet went for a little run it was kinda cool but then the planet was just empty and then I was like "THEY WANT HOW MUCH IRL MONEY FOR 1 DAMN SHIP?"
Like, completely empty? Just land?
I just don't like how you have to go through the monotny of general life. It's fun at first but after that I felt like I was really just wasting my time
then I ran off to checkout the planet was some deserty bit and that was it cant remember how far I ran but just dessert
Mmm dessert
yeah, I like the game startings where its panic like nms or subnautica or even better the forest
I should try the forest
not that big of a map on that game
No?
NMS has a combined total size of 102Million LY in diameter (combining all 255 galaxies), which is 0.001% of the known universe (93.016Billion LY in diameter ). Trying to put that into a perspective that makes sense....but those god damn monsters at google have removed the ability to calculate distances on google sky maps.
Anyone have that universe sim game?
Could probably get a good perspective on size with that.
Though don't try and create a galaxy with a diameter of 102 million light years.
I can't imagine how big a black hole would need to be to secure that kind of celestial real estate
How large is that great attractor...
There ya go. The distance to the great attractor is a little over 100 million light years away
cue the xfiles music
I have 'universe sanbox legacy' on steam, whatever the heck that is.
We're being holographically transported to the great attractor via NMS
Black hole be like "Damn this galaxy thicc af"
When she done expanding but he keeps on absorbing light:
Ok bad joke time is over. Off to hit the drums

Good lord that game studio is having way too much fun. If you go to the tweet it has a weird video on a loop that has this image flash a couple times so fast you can barely see it
And if you follow the morse code it takes you to a website with this message
Cool
nice
Court of Owls Batman game confirmed π

Thank you
vore the game
I would like to see the actual dialogue thingy.
Just do an endless void mission, and you'll get to hear it
He never shuts up, which is why it's a meme
I haven't played Bioshock Infinite since its Xbox 360 release, I bought the Bioshock Collection a while ago so I figure I might as well replay Infinite and finally play its DLC's π
Iβve never played Warframe.
Corrupted Vor will actually stop a mission from progressing so he can finish talking
And he drops in as an assassin, so it's not even just the boss fight
that fucking vor speech tho
hehe Vor
malaka!
So is that Metal Slug but you eat your enemies?
i consume all of my enemies
monch
mm tastes like evil
Apparently Mortal Shell is getting decent reviews, it's a competently made Souls-like that cuts out all the filler other Souls games have
hears the words 'souls-like game', brain immediately shuts off
Lol
It's difficult and whatnot but it's also fairly linear and removes most of the "Ooo, if I walk any direction besides this one I instantly die" crap
maybe i'd enjoy souls-like games more if they were less predictable and always 'expecting' a big boss that will destroy you over and over
I think the reason i loved Bloodborne was because it was the first game from them i ever played, and the first souls-like game, and i didn't know what to expect.
Tbh the only Souls-like I've ever cared about enough to finish was Ashen
Mainly cuz it was beautiful
And unique. Very much different from standard medieval stuff we've seen a billion times. It was made by a New Zealand studio and they wanted to put their culture into the game
Yeah that was a bunch of genres, I wouldn't consider it a Souls-like
I liked Ashen cuz it had a unique world and story and history written by a Fantasy author and was quite literally as far away from standard medieval stuff as you can get
those are the only reasons that would push me to play a game so difficult
The game doesn't even have swords, lol
Honestly it's probably the easiest Souls-like ever made. Nothin complicated, combat is just dodging and attacking
If you played through Bloodborne it'll be a piece of cake
hmm maybe one day
Plus this qt 3.14 is how you fast travel π
He (she?) kinda acts like Toothless, lol
fffffffffuck
i love toothless
Was doing the Granum Void event for the last weapon part I needed in Warframe, got to the last few seconds of the timer counting down
and just BARELY got the last two kills needed to complete the event
made it out with the last part I needed too
I still don't know how I feel about this new UI though..
Microsoft Flight Sim tomorrow
Assassin's Creed Origins is honestly the best AC game, it interpreted Egypt perfectly
Hell yeah
@winter yew How do you have the new ui?
@coarse swift #other-games message

I don't get why Cyberpunk 2077 can be pre-ordered without minimum specs listed.
The min specs keep getting changed on Can I Run It
According to CDPR: There are no official system requirements yet.
At this point of time Cyberpunk 2077 is still being optimized, which is why you'll have to wait a bit longer for an accurate estimate regarding the hardware requirements and recommendations.
I had to laugh when I saw the new requirements on Can I Run It
if you see any footage lately, the quality kinda looks weaker than before for the facial animations and such, so yeah they're probably optimizing it
I updated my CPU FOR Cyberpunk 2077, because they were the recommended for it
Now the min requirements for the game are higher than my CPU
On Can I Run It
Hell...My motherboard doesn't have a chipset fast enough
Which means I'd need a whole new computer
also I didnt know Factorio was early access all this long
Can I Run it says min req for Cyberpunk 2077 is an i7-6700
wh
π€
all my hype dissipated for cyberpunk 2077 given the time taken to develop it
plus the realization that they're following standard game dev trend of GRAPHICS GRAPHICS
There is no way this game will require an i7-6700k CPU to run it....That would completely tank their market.
That chipset is literally the intel flagship
The only people who would be playing the game would be new computer owners.
yeah, also they're having to try and make this thing work on current consoles which is...bonkers
So far as I'm aware, yeah
That's going to be a shit show
Death stranding worked on PS4 and it looked pretty good as far as facial animation and stuff
Though noticeably for me in the intro the difference between the static screenshots and real time rendering were more obvious on console
I'd be less concerned with sony's console than the xbox in terms of production speed.
The shit show will come from competing objectives between markets, sony vs xbox vs pc
I only hope they knock it out of the park on day one
Otherwise...the infighting between development systems is going to be...interesting.
"I NEED THIS FOR THE XBOX TO WORK...I NEED THIS FOR THE SONY TO PRETTY...I JUST GOING TO MAKE EVERYONE BUY NEW COMPUTER NOW"
Idk why this has become so difficult; almost all the hardware is the same so just run the game on different settings
'cause some nerds decided to make up cryptic proprietary systems to squeeze out as much as possible from fixed, limited hardware i guess
Who cares about tanking a market
Pc master race. Ultra settings
Buy a new pc
Set a new standard in graphics
Donβt hold back because people are conservative and stick to the past with old hardware
Push forward and create an agenda for a stronger and higher fidelity future standard of graphics and performance
There is no way this game will require an i7-6700k CPU to run it....That would completely tank their market.
@dry copper bunch of conservative bs
Do you even know what conservatism is? That has nothing to do with technology benchmarks. Your argument might as well be, "Don't make anything for anyone that they can use today because they're all conservatives and should exist in the future, instead"
By the same argument, you can say the developers are being liberal with lose code and poor optimization
Which is why I said they wouldn't do it. It wouldn't look good for them in any market.
Adopting new technology for no other reason than to compensate for poor development integrity is not progressive. It's regressive.
Code integrity and quality is more important than speed.
PS: There's no standard in graphics. A game's value is not in its graphics and never has been - Proven time and time again.
After I saw the success of "West of Loathing" I immediately stopped evaluating games on their graphics as a selling point. Graphics are gravy. Games that are fun, are fun on their merits, not their packaging.
There is a standard
Consoles keep pc master race back
Graphics are indication of technology
comparing pongβs graphics to cyberpunkβs and saying that they are the same because the gameplay is the same is incorrect
When you clearly can see the graphics create boundless new possibilities for gameplay avenues because of the new technology
But since that is such an obvious meta statement I donβt think it needs any refute
I was simply advocating for the benefit of the glorious gaming pc master race as well as providing a basis as to why having a high end entry to the title is legitimate
You're so hyperbolic I can't take anything you type seriously and question everything you say.
My hair is an eagle. Your argument is invalid.
yerts' arguments have no basis in reality and are full of fallacious points of reference. He opens with refuting a statement without providing relevant support, then makes another statement again with no basis in reality, followed by a red herring comparison that I didn't even make to try and shift the argument and an ambiguous platitude about possibilities closing on an admission to being flat out ignorant. His conclusion isn't even a conclusion. It's a restatement of his thesis without concluding it.
π
Get rekt
Didnt need the last part but good analysis otherwise. xD
I personally get tired of pc master race and vice verse arguments anyway
I remember when PC Master race started. It was meant to be a joke...but holy shit do people fall into line with the poe fast.
yeah even I'm starting to feel that too
so many times that started as a harmless joke got bandwagoned by idiots who want to take it seriously
It makes me want to join a book club, honestly. I feel like I'm in a society.
snickers
Sorry, I had to.
"it's about sending reading a message"
Did I miss a PC v Console argument?
Hardly an argument
Intentionally stirring
By posting a picture of a third grade actor in a tshirt to troll?
More like
Ahh yes. Because everyone can afford a PC
I definitely agree with you on the point that PCs have the best specs out there
It's just that it would require coughing up a lot more money to get as good as you say it can
I'm a PC fan. I love PC. I also love seeing beautiful coding and I don't think a true PC fan would promote using their PC as a easy bake oven to compensate for shit coding.
thank god for yerts
What?
Self promotion is against the rules dingus
π
sniffs, expecting to smell an alt account
Are you literally role playing rn
I'm Roleplaying all over your beautiful face.
If this devolves into bickering its going to stop
^
If you wanna role play letβs just DM π₯΄
I kinda learned from the other day not to humor yerts.
π₯΄ im down to RP
I want to play more death stranding
I bought it twice xD

Same with Horizon and the same will be true if Bloodborne ever moves to PC
I forget them on ps4 cuz I never think to play on it
I bought gta twice π¦
They gave GTA away on epic
so I now own it 3 times π₯΄
I have GTA5 on ps, gta5 on PC and now...GTA5 on PC again
PS, Steam, Epic Games
No regrets.
We bought Destiny too many times
Referring to D1, but yeah I bought the new D2 expansion + season pass. Gotta see it through
If I could go back in time I would stop myself from ever picking it up
The only game Iβve bought on that many different platforms is probably Retro City Rampage
3ds, vita, pc, iOS
Now do it on monsoon
wat is monsoon
The difficulty
The one on the far right
Using the captain on Monsoon, finishing it, will get ya pretty nice white character skin
Ohhh
I like Acrid
Hes adorable
I dont have a favorite yet, still gotta play as some of the other characters
i'm surprisingly not hating Vigor after a few hours
i surprisingly ran into someone who didn't try to bust open my melon
Me lon
The difficulty is just the start difficulty?
I was at "I see you" when i finished my easy game
the council will now decide your fate
@spiral pulsar drizzle is EZ mode.
Even when you reach βHAHAHAHAHAHA...β
βοΈ
But it also gives you a chance to unlock secrets that donβt require Monsoon.
And learn what works best for your character
I would have answered but I'm a rather new player and I didnt want to talk out my ass
Or if you just wanna screw around/chill
Iβm still newish but I have about 100 hours of Risk of Rain 2
@winter yew that's what i thought. when it show "impossible" it was still ez af
This was near the end of a 230+ minute run with my friend Alison, we were playing on Rainstorm with Artifact of Command, Artifact of Swarm, and Artifact of Sacrifice and our builds were pretty much so OP that we were killing enemies practically just by looking at them. ONE thi...
To be fair this was with Artifact of Command and a couple others on so my build was insanely OP
We talking RISK OF RAIN 2 I love loader, Rex and Captain
The problem with Captain is that his big DPS attack is a pain to land on the final boss
Yeah
wtf all these items
btw i didn't understand the item junk
i understood that it would be the first item to be in the 3d printer
but it didn't work for me
Itβs kinda hard to explain
Today, Frontier released the first dev diary promo video for Odyssey, which gave the first insight into what the update is going to look like. The new planet tech, for the first time includes basic atmospheres. This also extends to new rocky and new ice worlds. It looks lik...
@crisp sparrow ^
when its in the game
watch the vid Aethena
i am
π
we'll have to see about anything other than mostly dead rocks
lmao
I can guarantee there's only a few assets that then get varied with size and colours
Ready Paycheck Two
there are already "plants" on planets
theyre extremely rare
don't expect a forest any time soon
let alone weird alien fauna running around
this is more of ED catching up to mechanics that already exist in Star Citizen
ofc not...
this is just a first iteration
they are focusing on making it work
then later add citys and stuff like tht
so by 2030 maybe
I have more faith in ED then i do Scam Citizens for example...
idk why
you dont know why?? π
nope
Scam Citizens has collected 300M USD so far... 8 years of development and not even a stable core base game they have given its players!
all they keep doing is asking for more and more money with their ridiculous 32k USD bundle packs...
how can ppl still believe thts not a scam???
am i crazy here or something?
I think Ernest Cline should stray away from so many pop-culture references in the sequel to ready player one @silver sparrow
But that's just me
im specifically referring to them progressing with mechanics at any faster rate
both games take ages to move forward
SC will never be released... ED has done much more with far less funding...
at least the game works!
thts the point im trying to make
But Star citizen works. People play it a lot
ED had a list of things it was supposed to have on release
they added them later on BUT
did they do it for free? Oh no its a full priced game for the first minor add-on Horizons
and now u going to pay the same price for Odyssey to...
are we going to pay $60 for atmospheres too?
see
then what $60 for animals or plants or both individually
things that were supposed to be in the complete game
so even by pricing practice they act much like Star Citizen; its just they aren't charging specifically for ships
though the fleet carrier is a time/money sink
Yeah for elite dangerous you're going to have to pay $200 to play everything, but you can pay $40 to play Star citizen
any customization costs money though; even voices for your computer
even Beyond was supose to be a paid expansion... and they give it out for free cuz they doing things slower then expected
and ships in SC are becoming purchasable in-game
so no more actual money to get them
let me preface by saying i will likely get odyssey
i also purchased Star Citizen and bought a ship
i don't care because no one's forcing me to do it but i'm not going to pretend that there's a good guy and a bad guy π
Aethena have you seen this ? https://twitter.com/MoonmenGames/status/1281953458543788032?s=19

theyre all cheaper than Magic xD
More low poly artstyle
wait is this available???
Not yet
Yeah same
they got me with the ship design too xD
It's pretty. Customization looks pretty deep
it looks like indies are where theyre making the NMS clones; im glad they exist tho
Welp apparently the Microsoft flight sim launch is already a fiasco
Super dogshit performance, not to mention they count the download launcher as playtime so you cant even get a refund
So since it's over 90 gigabytes just to launch, it goes over the 2 hour refund period lol
Sneaky sneaky πΈ
Lol
Fuck the abyssal depths
Can't see the teleporter
Spend 20 mins on the level
3-4 level of difficulties up nice
DAYUM atmospheric landings in elite are looking nice
The first in a series of Elite Dangerous: Odyssey dev diaries One Giant Leap explores how commanders can experience light atmospheres and break new ground with exploration on foot for the first time.
Stay tuned for more dev diaries on combat, missions, environments and co-ope...
Genuinely surprised at how gorgeous a lot of this looks, especially with actual atmospheres now
It's a pretty game, just wondering how diverse they can make on - foot exploration
It'll never reach nms potential since they have to have some level of realism, but so far the terrain and colours looks very nice
But it's insanely better than what we have now
im going to reiterate it just looks like Star Citizen even though these are not pre-made worlds
and I don't care if ED does a city planet either
i want to see something with life on it
yeah I feel it'll probably just be "walk around to find grey rock" though
i love league of legends
