@austere lance Just finished the movie. Good fight choreography, missing a lot of juicy details that would've made the story feel more fleshed out. Too many missing details in fact. By the end of the movie, the script felt like the movie "Wanted" full of obtuse mysteries trying to find a place in this reality with disjointed points of order that serve to ask more questions than answer. That said, I'm a sucker for mythology stories and comic books and I honestly think if they go all in on this and take from the comic, the next movie in the series could make up for every single failing in this one.

my guess would be it's just a firmware thing, since you would need to support triple layer discs. even if it's physically capable of doing it technically if the firmware isn't built to handle them then it may not work
in terms of why they wouldn't use them for xbox, i don't really know. Might just be a thing dictated by xbox

Greedfall: It's been 28 hours of playing both main and side quests. While initially I found the game story not compelling, after about 15 hours in, the story really starts to pick up and avoiding an international incident becomes a real challenge to juggle while maintaining friendships and moral choice. The story is much better, though the acting is still swamp ass.
I rate this "I do not regret this purchase yet"/Out of Ten

The studio is still too young to really be critical about. They did a solid job with framerates for desolate, but it lacked any polish, felt like a Playstation 2 game for graphic fidelity with poorly scripted story elements in a way too short experience. Maybe Voidtrain will redeem the studio? Maybe not.

@dry copper i would say kingdoms of amalur has a bit more satisfying combat particularly when it comes to magic/staffs, but I haven't gotten too far into Greedfall yet. Unfortunately KoA has an annyoing mechanic where every single hit causes you to flinch no matter how small or how little damage it does, so if there's a large group of enemies it can be hard to do anything. Not usually a huge issue but there is a colosseum (kinda like Fable) later in the game where it can be insanely annoying.
you do get a shield (even if you go mage there are talismans that act as shields) but using your shield doesn't always interrupt what you're doing as you get locked into attack animations sometimes, though you can change their direction between moves in a combo
