The nice way to learn is to join a friend's brig or galleon and work with a team so they can teach you, the fun way to learn is to solo sloop and figure out how to steer, control sails, and read your map all by yourself

Lots of gadgets and traps and stuff to mess with and ninja techniques to learn
For instance, in that pic (if he's learned the technique) he can do a special kill while dangling from that chain that hangs the guy's body from the lamp post. If another guard walks by and sees the body it'll scare the shit out of him and make him Terrified
Terrified guards panic and shoot any nearby movement, which can lead to some entertaining friendly fire kills if you're creative enough 😆

so i just found out recently that Daemon x Machina added what they call exploration missions that are basically proc-gen mini-dungeon runs
and also the game already had coop, so you can coop those

However that's more in the customization & stats, the movement is immensely more flexible, maybe like a Gundam game but can't say as I've always somehow missed their beat'em up games

@charred badge This pretty much, yeah. It still has the feel of the weight when you land/drop from flight but otherwise it's like a cool character action game, but with some more flexibility in customization/weapon loadout
Like if you take down an enemy mech, you can boost over and grab their equipment, and if you have a free slot, you can go ahead and equip & use it
So if you have a free spot on your back and wreck a mech using a sword, you can up & grab that sword to slash up their allies
