Also one of my friends got so many goat hooves that he was able to break any map and get outside the borders before it teleported him back. He also was able to phase through walls

biomes in minecraft were never 3D, meaning that the same biome would be there in every level of the Y axis
nether update finally adds a Y axis range for biomes which is needed to generate cave biomes different from the overworld
and they'll use that tech to improve the generation of mountains (1.17 update will involve a mountains biome update with a new snow mechanic, goats and taller, scenic mountains)
now the next problem will be what to really add in caves that is not only scenic but practical too and isnt overwhelming either, because just adding new ores is kinda dull
