Nice. My only issue with that is the lack of HMD controls. The whole point of playing in VR is the ability to look around with your head as apposed to using a mouse or keyboard. I get not being able to separate the camera from the head, but that engine supports mouse-look (I've used the engine for other projects) and you can tie the mouse-look to center on HMD.

If that's using the old build engine, that's not possible. That engine uses sprites for avatars. There is only one camera for the player.

Even if he ported it to a new engine, that video seems to suggest he's just using the HMD over using a monitor while using a keyboard and mouse for targetting input

tbh, i don't like when an open world is too massive and crammed with too much content/quests. It's best when quests are evenly paced that complement the exploration of the world. I'd buy a smaller open world game with more meaningful, original content and story over a massive, overfilled generic hastily put together one any day.

Even though Horizon Zero Dawn isn't my favorite open world game, they get this formula down right. The side quests aren't overwhelming and you want to go explore to find them. It feels like a large, immersive space but isn't too big.

You can literally turn off everything that makes it a looter shooter, it's basically two different games

#

There's the Regular (looter shooter) mode and the new Immersive mode that makes it a hardcore tactical shooter with stamina, unused ammo in dropped magazines being wasted, injuries, being able to strip gear from dead enemies, etc. The fun part is that you can enable custom settings that let you completely play your way. Want a hardcore survival-shooter with no HUD or crosshairs? Go for it. Want a sequel to Wildlands (gameplay-wise) that plays like a regular third-person shooter? Go for it. Want a looter shooter? Fuck it, check off those options and go for it. @winter yew

An offline mode is not possible according to Ubisoft but the developer has found workarounds for people with unstable or poor connections. The game will run connected but limit Breakpoint to a solo PvE experience.
