It was cool seeing that place in a game after seeing the ceremony in Clone Wars
raft update on the third
im p sure a lot of the people who like NMS would like raft
scenic, randomly generated, infinite, encourages creativity and outside-of-the-box thinking
im hype
Raft sorta looks like Subnautica, I'll definitely play it if it ever releases on consoles
RIP, Ashen is leaving Xbox Game Pass
That was quick
Raft sorta looks like Subnautica excuse feckn me
Lol
If you're on Playstation and haven't played Titanfall 2 it's gonna be free with PS+ in December
Your Games of the Weird, go!

bought skyrim vr b/c it's on sale and every time i start it up this happens https://t.co/xfRZzJRBua

Looks like mediaeval destiny
Ha pretty accurate
I'm interested in this because it's from the devs that did the narrative game The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Plus the creative leads behind Bulletstorm. That's why the combat looks so good
Raft was incredibly boring, last I played it
Nostos is coming on Dec. 6th

It looks cool
Nice creatures
Thanks
Random thought: I'd love to get a group together a couple nights a week and play GTA.
i got gta
I got GTA and I'll happily grind some levels to average out others.
Just thinking that some random get together and do some racing or random BS would be quite funny
Nothing like selling guns and coke with pals.
@reef storm I'd be down for that
As long as we occasionally do more than freeroam shenanigans
Definitely
maybe a heist if we get enough people on board
Absolutely
I forgot how fun the combat is in Sleeping Dogs ๐
Any of you play Theatrhrythm Final Fantasy?
Is that the 3DS one with all the music
It's alright
I love all the outfits from other games you can get in this, lol
I've played the demo but never bothered getting the full game
Sleeping Dogs or the Final Fantasy game, lol?
The FF game
B r u h you can get Adam Jenson's outfit and it gives you a special gun ๐
Can I just say that after sticking a dude's face in a fan in Sleeping Dogs he'd look a helluva lot worse, all it did was cover him in blood ๐
FUCK this game has hella feels ๐ญ
honestly, seeing NMS's updates and the devs talking about it made me realise how bad starbound really is haha
NMS devs dont just add a feature on random but try to make sure the feature has clear connections with other parts of the game
starbound has a lot of issues
like how they added food but it was initially mostly useless but they fixed it by making the food profitable, complex foods refill your life support more (though that's still kinda pointless as oxygen is more abundant) and they even addressed the nanite gains
but they didnt add a hunger meter thankfully
that's why I'm hyped about mechs now, if HG does implement them I know they will serve an overall meaning to the game, rather than how starbound handled mechs
(starbound mechs are a fully independent side game which isnt satisfying as there's no meaningful rewards)
not odd, its just not a good game
they took the look and feel of terraria but without the combat
they took the proc gen of NMS but even less generation making it feel more same-y
and added random features that are its own side thing rather than making it an overall part of the game
I enjoyed it for about a 100 so hours but after that I havent felt like touching it ever again
It was in early access for a long time and I think the consensus is it got worse on release
Ahhh
@idle saffron well yeah its not the game where you can tell from just a few mins of playing
I basically ended up enjoying for a while, setting up a base, finishing the story and doing all the stuff the game had to offer (fishing, collecting animals)
but after that I didnt feel like replaying because its not enjoyable again, unlike other sandbox games like terraria, NMS, Minecraft
I couldnt really tell why, until I thought about these games again and figured out what's lacking my motivation
I gotcha, didn't realize it was an early access
oh no I got it at 1.4
I had the opposite experience with Astroneer
that 100ish hours was only their latest update, I never played the older versions
the whole content is about 80ish hours
-doing the story
-the 1.4 new feature, bounty hunting that is its own storyline
-base building, ship building
-reading up the lore books
-catching most of the insects and animals (they're collectibles)
-exploring the different dungeons

win what
Your heart and mind
win the war
It went much worse on release, so there's that too.
They discarded the original hunger system, they discarded the racial traits, and limitations, aka glitch people had their own food, poisonous for others, same with the rest of races, stuff like that, they tossed away the temperature mechanic, you had to heat bases up on ice planets using heaters etc, much of the original lore got tossed away, some minor mechanics got talked about but never released, like resurrecting fossils.
It's just, Starbound was supposed to be much more than it actually is, you know? Wasted potential if you will.
All unique racial intros got tossed, each unique start got scrapped for the sake of this terrane protectorate bullshit, some old bosses got scrapped, F. Ehh, I liked the beta much more. Remember when combat was deep, instead of literally every monster headbutting you, doing contact damage, and that's it? Remember many techs that got scrapped, like anti grav bubble, the butterfly jump, etc? Old mechs got scrapped, for the sake of the new ones. Eh, not like old ones were more useful than these.
yeah sorry I havent played previous versions, I started on 1.4 directly with the bounty hunting
It's better to not know, ye. ๐
I guess, but like I said even this felt very boring in the end and not feeling like replaying again
Not like there's any reason to replay it.
Some sprites got screwed over with 1.0 even, made it all kid friendly and unified.
What I like to think about Starbound, is that it got Spore'd.
Everything's cosmetic, cute, and fun now.
There aren't even any racial weapons now like what the fuck. ๐
They had to cut that out too.
But yeah, all races, are purely cosmetic now, so once you picked yours, and played through the game, there's nothing else.
Universe is static, always the same, story's the same for all, tech trees and progression is the same. Just, fuck, you know?
You can wait another year or two, play through the hour of content they added, and off the drive it goes again for another year.
I remember starbound's community made me lose my faith in humanity a bit
If anyone remembers the ||birds with penises|| mod, I feel your pain
It's not like there's entire ||sex|| network at works called ||Sexbound||, with ||pregnancy|| and building your colony that way.
The power of mods.
Doesn't help that all other races run around naked.
One thing they forgot to remove when "childifying" their game. ๐
ehh, it's the world I miss the most you know. Miniknog being this ultra nationalist organization, not some crazed up computer, avians sacrificing and killing people because of a "feather turning black", Angarans, anyone remember angarans?
The name rings a bell but I couldn't give two shits about starbounds lore
Not in its current boring state.
Now just shroom people, before? The Last of Us.
You could often see agarans in semi normal structures, only, overgrown, and in the basement? Cocoons with trapped people inside, that's how Agaran was made.
oh even wiki kept a note about that.
Which is surprising, they've been pretty through about removing past content. ๐
This plot thread would end up abandoned by the "Giraffe" builds, and the Agaran became the simple harmless weirdos they are now.```
as for non playable, ehh it makes sense I guess. There always were 7 races, well 6 + 1, but basically 7, and it was always about those only.
My video w/ N64 Pilotwings music added to Fugl
Staying low to the ground in the mountain biome. Fugl is coming later this year for iOS. The audio was added by me. If you found the star under the shoreline...
Wow has it ever changed

@echo hill How's Story Mode treating you, lol

Lol

Only in Sleeping Dogs can you use fish as weapons and impale people on meat hooks, lol
@winter yew just shower in Death Stranding, lol

Early access 2019
As for the game itself looks like first Ace of Spades. ๐
I miss that game tbh.
@echo hill Halo Reach on Tuesday!
Among Trees looks like it could be a relaxing game. I like the visuals
@echo hill This man is officially God
https://www.vg247.com/2019/11/29/halo-3-legendary-guitar-hero-controller/
oh shit yeah i saw that earlier
Actually I am officially god
Us gods are too busy to waste time on such menial feats
But congratulations to him nonetheless
Next they should beat the game on legendary with the guitar hero drum set

252 deaths? That's me about halfway through Sekiro
Why can't you shoot your stupid fucking horse.
release?
nice
but they're not giving us an approximate time on beta release
I just lost a fucking bounty because of this fucking trash piece of shit.
That's it I don't give a fuck, this fucker dies whether he likes it or not, whether this fucking game likes it or not.
Nothing ever felt as good.
Well that's sad
the ground looks like vomit
I wouldn't roll around in that mud
now look, I've been doing some thinking, and I've come to the conclusion that Ghaul was a complete dumbass
I mean his INITIAL idea was great, rush the last city and take the traveler, and it worked
but the machine was sentient
But nOoOo, don't kill the fucking guardian that just took out some 50 soldiers and boarded your ship to beat your ass, which would've worked had you not ripped their light out
Just kick them off the ledge WHILE STILL ALIVE, yeah, that'll kill em!
why didn't we die from the fall
well he was an IDIOT for thinking that
you NEVER leave ends untied, Ghaul
fucking CRETIN
Now why we didn't die from the fall is another story but now I get to my SECOND point
we landed in mud
If the Red Legion were already in the fucking EDZ when our punk ass shows up, why the FUCK didn't they think "Oh yeah that traveller shard might be of some interest, let's secure it!"
It's not like they didn't see it, it looms over us all the time
why didn't anyone report to ghaul that our guardian got our light back
they did
dont you remember in that cutscene with the consul
they did??
And Ghaul went "Oh well, it's fine"
I don't remember
Ghaul a whole dumbass
Yeah, but he got to be really neat looking for a minute
Also didn't Calus talk to Ghaul and tell him that he won't be able to beat us or smth?
Nah
Hmmm

that part
oh I forgot how good the lighting was
AND CAN SOMEONE REMIND ME WHAT THE FUCK THE RED LEGION WERE DOING ON IO PLEASE.
thankies
ye
io was the last place that the traveler touched before the collapse
i loved that part when it lit up the sky and the ships flew overhead
and it had some light
Except Ghaul was an idiot because you can't channel the light into someone
I'm trying to think of something related to the thing that blows up the sun but honestly it's actually kind of a smart idea
I wonder, since we probably won't get D3, how they'll introduce a new, large campaign and when
its impossible to blow up the sun, so they where bluffin
Oh and the whole Ghaul loses his mind part near the end
"I have become legend" yeah you're a fucking legend now, a fucking legendary FALIURE
Tall though
Rude
you FAILED TO SECURE VITAL ASSETS THAT YOU COULD'VE POSSIBLY BEEN EASILY SECURED
YOU FAIL TO TIE LOSE ENDS
ghaul you buffoon
you cretin
Would have made a really short game
YOU DESERVED TO GET YOUR ASS CHEEKS BEAT LIKE BONGO DRUMS, BUSTER
Yep it's the same reason that kinda stuff happens in every game and almost every movie
Meet ghaul, instead of tossing you off , he breaks your neck - credits roll
Because the story must go on
grr grr me angy
story shouldn't be an excuse for shitty military tactics but, I cannot change the past, only be upset about it
jesus fkn christ
Bounty hunting right?
Go to camp, sure, I'm going, I'm close, oh a lookout, better snipe him out.
Turns out it's the fucking bounty prick.
Especially if you're a Vex

Well I'm neither of those things
The Vex, though, they're scary
I'm much more threatened by them than some fucking turtles that managed to capture a sentient ball
I wish the enemies were just turtles
I love the vex
Give new race
we have those edgelords from the tangled shore
We got a new race, the nightmares are technically a new race
I want another vog-ish raid pls bungo
I want a good raid too
Ugh these walking controls in Golem are making me sick
It's a beautiful world and crisp VR graphics, but not sure I can go on
The new enemy types are always just repurposed Vex or Fallen
Wow the composer for Halo and Destiny did Golem's soundtrack
john lennon?
Paul McCartney
ringo
Daniel Radcliff
elija woods
Oh that's the one
Michael Salvatori and Marty O'Donnell
no, elija woods
But seriously, I hope these devs update the game with better comfort settings so I and others with the same issue can play it
Leaning forward and backward to move in VR is a no no
@willow crypt oh no, I wish you had asked about Golem here, I could have warned ya about that
Darn
Maybe you did tho & I was busy
I hope they update it too because visually & musically it sounded great
Yes
Just everything about trying to play sounded miserable in an unintended way
I wonder if the devs will stick with it or move on
Definitely deserves the attention
VR devs I've seen so far have seemed pretty good about sticking with them, like The Persistence devs stuck with their game and even went so far as to update it for play outside of VR
But they also did a much better job at nailing basic gameplay in terms of movement and comfort options
Ah cool
So yeah, I just saw that a lot of the features like left hand mode(yay) were added in a new patch
So that's a good sign
nice
Had funny rdr online experience today.
Finally had some people shoot and attack me.
I remember one person in particular. Had defensive stance on, means I took less damage etc, and it felt like that.
She was pumping me full of lead, and I almost didn't feel that at all.
She managed to piss me off tho, so I put out my lasso, ran at her and managed to tie her up.
Don't know how that works, thought maybe I could turn her to sheriffs office or something right?
nope, she untied herself before I managed to load her on my horse even.
So I pulled my lasso again, jumped at her, tied her again, pulled up my gun and double tapped her head.
The Switch is such a weird thing. I keep having to remind myself that I may already have the games I'm looking at on there on another platform, and just being able to have them on the go isn't that much of a benefit when I don't travel that much
However, as I've been double checking things, I've found that there are weird slight perks to Switch versions thanks to them coming to it later that the original versions may not have
Like supposedly Ori and the Blind Forest runs at 60 fps on Switch, whereas other standard model consoles, not so much?
what a deal!
lmao
Tbh tho I would recommend trying Crying Suns if it sounds interesting to you
It's a really solid, nice looking game from what I tried of it, been meaning to pick it up at some point
I never knew they modernized Yar's Revenge
BUY NOW: http://bit.ly/hz2Vrz Like Atari on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/atari
oh no
this immediately brings to mind the weird attempt to modernize Asteroids
Sorry yeah that's not Yars' Revenge even in modernized form
Looks like it might be fun tho
You ever play the original Yars' Revenge?
hell yes i did
such a silly janky but fun game
I loved the weird barrier field thing you would dip in and out of as you tried to take out the enemy
I about died when I saw them reference it in The Walking Dead
And nibbling away at their barrier to fuel your more powerful attack or something

holy shit
EDGE has been released on Steam! Get it from http://2trib.es/edge_steam
never knew they released this on PC
i fuckin' have that on 3DS hahah
Beatbuddy is another good one that I already own
if you haven't seen that one, its kinda hard to explain. it's a Metroidvania but everything follows a tune, the animations of the enemies are in sync with the music
A look at an early level of the music-focused platformer.
wtf I want this
its a very cute game
the animations of the enemies are in sync with the music
lmao reminds me of New Super Mario Bros for the DS
yeah? I never played that one
the enemies jumping to the beat
oh

lmao
I'll poke it when Anthem 2.0 or whatever tf it is releases, lol
Anthem Next
Anthem: The Taken Grabbit

uhh you mean Anthem Beyond
then again you would only want it once Anthem Synthesis is out
Don't you mean Beyond Beyond
Your Destiny lies in the Beyond, guardian
fuk I want to play Destiny again for the shooty shooty
Tfw Anthem was named Beyond til a couple months before release and the devs even had Beyond merchandise
lmao
but no 20fps shooty is no fun
I tried playing at 720p, then I got close to 40-50fps but the game looked awful
Oh no anthem
That is entirety too big of an install for a shite game, I'd probably play it for less time than it took to install ๐
hey i played it for 69 hours
once NMS adds mechs then u wont need Anthem anymore
Sean will do everyone a service
Implying we need it now
Anthem's suits feel like you're playing as Iron Man
except for the Colossus. He's just a melee tank with legs.
and uhh.. that one that is pretty much a Warlock
also Valkyr from Warframe is in Anthem
Remember when the game released and Colossus had the weakest armor
And worst health
Cuz logic
and the only way to stay alive as him was to put up your shield and charge at enemies
Fuckin fantastic design for a "tank" class
I hope Anthem 2.0 gets renamed Beyond, I'll die laughing
pretty much the only reason I have Origin on my pc nowadays is for Burnout Paradise Remastered
Damn, RDR 2 PC version for $42
Origin felt worse than epic store
I have the PS4 version and I just feel so OVERWHELMED when I play it.
like you have all these survival bullshit things you have to worry about
but in the case of a game like Death Stranding all I have to really worry about is my boots getting too worn down, or running out of blood.
in RDR2 I have to keep myself fed, and my horse
I'm just glad they didn't implement the whole 'fat/skinny' aspect of eating from San Andreas
as funny as it was, it was really annoying to deal with.
No joke, the durability stuff in Death Stranding catches some flak, but I swear it's the best balanced durability system I think I've come across in a game
There's something much more annoying most of the way through the story
Like nothing in Death Stranding feels like it wears down too quickly as long as you avoid timefall, and even then it holds up far better than I thought it might
Whoever calibrated that system deserves an award, no joke. They worked some fucking magic getting that just right
@winter yew I feel like you wouldn't enjoy Survival mode on Subnautica, lol
Gotta eat and drink all the time on top of the normal underwater survival stuff
oh geez
I refuse to touch survival
Freedom only for me lol
Survival but without food and water? Yes please
Hah

YEEEEEEEEEE
I wanna pick up the remaster but I have NO IDEA if it's coming to steam
Do not get that until you know
https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/burnout/burnout-paradise-remastered it's literally $9.99 on Origin.
guess I'm picking it up regardless
and I honestly can not believe they are still selling that version of the game on Steam
the servers aren't online for that version anymore so you'll run into a lot of moments where the game crashes
it also doesn't have any of the DLC stuff, no Big Surf Island, the toy cars, etc.
the servers are currently up for the Remaster on Origin though
the remaster also has all the DLC.
I really do wonder if they will be bringing it over to Steam ever
yesss

I have it on an xbox somewhere, lol
It's pretty fun
I have 3, Revenge on PS2, and whatever the PSP one was called on my Vita.
Love my crashy smashy arcade racer

I win races in Sleeping Dogs by treating them like Burnout races
probably not the best screenshots

Bruh the ending for Sleeping Dogs is fuckin brutal, holy shit
It's some serious Punisher shit, lol
Now for the zombie DLC, lol
This is wack LMAO ๐
"Don't you know, most Chinese magic based on anti-freeze!"
๐
There better be a Big Trouble In Little China reference somewhere in this DLC, lol
I feel like people should be wary of anything called a "Premium Menu", lol
It's a weird name but thankfully just that
I believe it comes in a free update besides the DLC
I absolutely will at some point.
It's been on my radar for so long but I just continue to skip over it.
There are alot of good content mods for the game
skrim
If you haven't played it it is fun
Once you've played it that's about all there is to it, but you can play it on your Amazon Alexa
Dont start with mods, or you won't appreciate the improvements they bring
and have Amazon report your dragon slaying to the cops
Except maybe UI mods because lol at default Skyrim UI
"do ya like lists on lists? we got'em!"
That's the main reason I never considered playing it.
Yeah, IIRC I saw it before it released, and was expecting them to replace it with something resembling a useful UI, but they never did... I've since heard other stuff that has put me off too... And now I don't really play much at all, so
Thats true. It would be best to do a playthrough without mods first and then go for it
I remember seeing screenshots before release and being put off by the colors and the usual realistic graphics hype, for a fantasy game
Smol Outer Worlds critique
The sequel needs more strange alien fauna
Brother is playing and said the creatures are too earth like, and it made me realize that I agree
That is all
I playef Skyrim up until the point where you get shout powers (and I was getting side tracked a lot)
I just couldn't get into it tbh
Felt too slow and boring
Thats fair
It's definitely a large and intimating game
But I enjoy the journeys between the action
Really nails the atmospheres. Even though it's dated, it is very pretty
Oh yea definitely
Need to get back into it. Said I'd finish before the end of the year but not gonna happen.
I always take a breath of relief when I find a cave and it's tiny. Some of those are freaking massive.
Today I will beat JFO again
I'm playing through Witcher 3 again.
He's great ๐
lmao
Game seems to be playing a little different this time around than it did previous for me. I genuinely did not know it had multiple approaches for missions.
๐
I really liked that quest, still need to finish the game though
I uh, might be halfway through my fourth playthrough. And I might have at least 300 hours put into the game in total ๐ฌ
Wowee
It's super fun.
star wars time
NO!
@echo hill Did you watch Mandalorian Chapter 4 yet
Yeah it was awesome
People keep saying it's the worst episode and I'm like "Wot"
Also, I checked on IMDB and the badass chick is listed for three episodes ๐
we cant watch it in uk
I know, RIP
everyone b out there spoilin it
Well, technically you can watch it in the UK if you really dislike paying Disney

Yeas as the above emoji says, you must find and collect pirate hats to sell for money to purchase
Lol
||Do you happen to know why Cal's new Kyber Crystal breaks?||
I'm pretty sure "Why, Cal" is the main thing going through his friends' heads for 90% of the game, lol
lmao fr
||I'd assume it was because his connection to the Force was broken, his crystal was another lesson on how to repair himself||
It had to match him
They choose you, he needed ||2||
Smart damn crystal
Crystal damn smart?
Damn smart crystal
That's also why he can't ||dual wield sabers, each saber half only has half a crystal in it. True dual wielders build two sabers||
Ah gotcha
||They can hold energy for a couple seconds but not very long, they'd each need a full crystal to work indefinitely||
ye
It is pretty neat - and was unexpected - I thought ||we would have to find another||
Maybe the second game will let us ||build a second saber||
Nummy
is there gunna be a second game?
titanfall 3
the reason Cal's connection to the force is iffy is cuz if he's not near a red star his power wanes
Kotaku dude who writes all the in-depth articles on stuff. He wrote the big article about Anthem's shitty development @echo hill
Same

dewit

no
i should really finish force unleashed someday too
Yes
whats that other one that usually gets a lot of praise? Republic Commando?
Tbh I like the idea of the Inquisitors more than Vader having one OP apprentice
Republic Commando is god-tier
ok cuz a few years ago i basically got every star wars game up to that point hahaha
I liked the reference to it in J: FO
I woulda fuckin cried if ||Sev from Republic Commando had showed up on Kashyyyk|| in J: FO @echo hill
Seeing ||Tarful|| was almost as good
i hate black bars I HAVE SUCH AN URGE TO CLICK THEM lmoa
They're def spoilers lol
im used to SCP so i just leave them
Honestly the main Star Wars games you need are the old Battlefront games, the new Battlefront II for the campaign (and multiplayer if you're into Battlefield type games), Republic Commando, and J: FO. And Force Unleashed, even tho it isn't canon anymore
soul did you finish your second run yet?
I finished that before you finished your first, lol
Nah, I've seen everything by this point. I explored more than 90% of each planet in my second playthrough
I'll probably replay it one more time whenever I get a One X so I can experience it with badass graphics and whatnot
lmao i love the bit on ||kashyyyk|| when the stormtroopers are like ||"At least we have the high ground this time"||
Proceeds to die
I kinda felt bad for that, lol
Stormtroopers have the best banter if you hide and listen to em before attacking ๐
Fuck, I was gonna say clones have better banter but then that reminded me of the ||Order 66 mission||
๐ญ
๐ข
God that sucked, especially if you ||talked to all the clones in the hallways|| first
yeah no kidding
They were so nice ๐ฅ
My boi Dee Bradley Baker was excellent at voicing them, as always. He's been voicing them in everything since the Clone Wars show
Ngl I want him to voice em in the Obi Wan show if there's clones in it
Yeah, he's still Disney's go-to choice for voicing clones. That was him in Battlefront II also
Okay ngl ||Cal with a red lightsaber and Imperial armor is fucking badass as hell. pls more of that in the next game.||
@austere lance
Lol. Pretty sure that's not gonna happen for obvious reasons. There's probably mods for it tho ๐
Im such a sucker for Light side gone dark
There's some entertaining Cal mods, lol
Yep, there's a mod for red saber and dark side armor
๐ฎ
Just checked

HAHA
They had to do it, seeing how Cal's actor is Jerome (basically Joker) in that Gotham show ๐

So I played Outer Worlds from 9am to 6pm today and I have to say it's a really good game
Much much better than FONV imo
Also everyone is fucking dumb
Agreed, I liked it way more than NV
Kek
I thought she would ask for credentials and i was ready to high tail out of there
Also ah parvati is so innocent
To be fair, those people grew up in a city ruled by a corporation and they don't really do the whole "Thinking for myself" thing very well
Parvati is adorable
Innocent cinnamon roll
She's too pure
tbh i just beat the game without dying once
lmao
so grand master playthrough was 22 hours, and story mode playthrough was 8 lol
Nice
Not touching Breakpoint
I thought it was Days Gone too tbh
Wildands is definitely a lot more fun with friends
and the lighting is pretty cool too
you can play Wildlands solo and offline though right? so like already way better than Breakpoint, lol
Speaking of, did you see their recent community survey for Breakpoint where people were basically wanting what they liked from Wildlands back?
AI squadmates, offline play, etc.
but it kind of ruins the challenge when your AI teammates can instantly revive you and have perfect aim every time
That said dunno of even Wildlands had offline play...
yes it does
nice
that's where the AI squadmates come in
But yeah, I follow ya on the AI, better then to fudge it than to remove altogether though
Make them able to miss, and take a moment and be able to be interrupted during revives
yeah they also teleport to you if you go into a vehicle or whatever
Usual AI tightrope stuff
been playing with a couple friends and it's been a blast, the element of human error always adds fun to the experience of trying to do certain missions
like the stealth ones or whatever
Yeah, it looked like it'd be more fun that way, and seemed like a pretty decent playground
like i used my noisemaker drone to distract a baddie while a friend snuck into a room to steal some information
Ngl I only played the beta for Wildlands, it was a complete mess ๐
It just made me want to play Ghost Recon Future Soldier instead, lol
I'll probably get it someday when it drops below $10
I think I very briefly played the beta as well and while I didn't think it was a mess, I could tell it was probably much better with friends and the rest of the military setup just wasn't really for me
So, uh, I picked up Metal Max Xeno after having it kinda interesting me for awhile half-off in a store nearby
And rereading the description for it on the PlayStation Store I'm reminded why it was interesting me...It sounds a lot like Blaster Master, lol
Metal Max Xeno is a post-apocalyptic RPG. Collect and customize tanks to battle mutated creatures and robotic enemies.
Also how can you say no to a game with this lil' guy:

tbh why isnt it tuesday yet
because time..
@echo hill Reach, lol?

@cinder vessel
Metal Max gameplay
yup

Don't think so

its a short but cute Metroidvania but kinda reminds me of Blaster Master a bit
What should i buy in this sale? NMS or Sabnautica with ZERO
Subnautica with zero
Finally taking the time to play some more Death Stranding
Trying some real dumbass tactics
only buy NMS at full price ๐ค ๐ค ๐ค
@cinder vessel I'm gonna play more Death Stranding tomorrow. Been rebuilding roads too much and ignoring the story lol.
@crisp sparrow why at full price? haha i would have overpayed if they have not messed up with launch
so i should buy sub . dump NMS
clearly not sohail, lmao
@crisp sparrow I continue that joke. XD
Other games channel just to get reviews from you all
ahh
then ofc buy NMS
We're biased herr
I've played both
Sub Zero is a pretty fun and sorta long experience but it doesnt have that much replay value in it for me as NMS has
@tame coral @crisp sparrow This game have good multiplayer experience . I dont love solo playing.
I came here from ASTRONEER which i loved just for two reason. 1) Space Exploration genre. 2) Aww!!! Cuteness.
Astroneer is great
lol I didnt like astroneer at all
@crisp sparrow Its fine. Some dont like it. For me Minecraft is Overrated.
meanwhile I still love mc
Tbh cod black ops zombies is underrated as hell. Such a good replayable gameplay loop, cool as hell lore, just pure fun
the kennedy killing zombies one?
Lol in one map on bo1
I got so many backstab whenever i back up some games on kickstart or pre purchased so for now i only buy them after reviews and in Sale.
I hate call of duty for everything else, but zombies keeps me going back
the only kickstarter I'd like to pay for if I could, will be Everspace 2
@grave elbow why Cod MW have best storyline .
@novel nacelle I guess sure but the actual gameplay of the cod campaigns is boring and repetitive.
It is always go to place, shooty shooty, go to place vehicle shooty shooty, then go to place and more shooty shooty, repeat 8-12 times and put cutscenes and a halfassed stealth mission and you got a cod campaign
Ok Guys. I will meet you in game soon. ๐ NMS is final. Btw what about new HALO game?
After 343 took the helm it just went downhill
Doom eternal looks like more Doom 2016
So good
then why are people so hyped about the new halo
Because Xbox players desperately need games to validate their purchase of an xbox
There are precisely 0 reasons to own an Xbox if you have a pc
vs keeping a midrange pc and buying games on big discounts
Microsoft Have to push up Xbox.
I have PS4 and a decent PC, it works for me
I dont think they should push xbox all that much but instead have a more solid store for their games
They can increase share if they fix shitty microsoft store . Worst Than Internet Explorer.
I really like game pass
Game pass is on pc now isn't it
What is xcloud? A stadia thing?
๐คฎ
game pass on the cloud
Game streaming services will always be trash
its not even out yet
Input lag will never be fixed though
it can get better
Like if the world's biggest tech company can't even put together a half decent service..
Plus if your internet goes out it's done
because they approached it too early and a bad system
but its pushing cloud server tech to progress faster each year
so it wont be long before cloud gaming becomes pretty viable
Or if Microsoft or Google loses licensing rights you can't play
You don't get to own the games
so?
Imagine your internet goes out, then what?
then do something else
Cloud Gaming is a MEME.
its like saying if your PC dies, then what?
No it's not
Or if Google or whatever loses the rights to a game
Then what?
A game you paid for is lost forever
that's why I said stadia's model sucks
microsoft's better
you're paying iirc 5 dollars a month to play a large library of games
for no extra cost
That's what game pass is
and xcloud too
It will never be on par with the likes of an actual pc or console
Competitive gaming is impossible with cloud gaming
it can be close enough to not be able to tell the difference apart
lol competitive gaming is unrelated
no one will actually play competitive games on the cloud aside for some casual people
they will play their game on super beefed up systems at 1080p 300mhz
yeah it is
like destiny 2, most people will play it casually and the same people wouldnt care for literal instant inputs
a delay that they cant notice is good enough
That's just not true though
I dont care for input lag as long as its very playable
Currently it's still very noticeable and that's with top of the line fiber internet
yeah xcloud is still private beta for a reason
we're too early for cloud gaming but the 3 tech giants are on to something
it doesnt work like that lmao
Personally I'd rather just own my games
that's fine but calling out others isnt doing u any favours
@crisp sparrow talking about destiny 2 . i dont understand DLC for destiny 2.
It's the same as the last game
personally I dont care about owning games if I can play it for much cheap
@novel nacelle me neither lmao
I used to hate D2 for being scummy with paid DLCs
Well now its free
now that they made their base game free and added a bunch of the old DLCs for free, I'm good
@crisp sparrow I hated just becoz people said. But i see it have high percent of constant Player base.
I've been a destiny fan since the beginning
I still didnt like the game much, same with warframe
It's not a bad game by any means
It's probably one of the best free to plays out there at this point
it felt too repetitive and I didnt have the feeling of progression because the same old enemies got stronger with me
I stopped d2 because the endgame essentially vanished
D1 had a strong endgame, with a fun grind
I see
Raids were awesome, and the trials pvp was ok too
I liked warframe for being free but it was too money grubbing
gave up quick before I'd fall in that trap
I like warframe, but it does have a crazy grind, I wouldn't say it's money grubbing as much as it is just bad at explaining how to obtain things
Everything in the game can be free
For me it has been
yeah but its time gated so hard I lost interest
I have around 600 hours thus far and I haven't ever felt compelled to spend real money
3 days to make the rhino wf
It's not time gated too horribly, honestly
I forgot about the game by then
All frames take 3 days
Weapons take 12-24 hours
It's not time gating because most of the frames aren't required to keep playing
Some items definitely do time gate you though
Like certain crafting items take 12 hours to make
no but I wanted them and it felt like ages getting that weapon I took so long to grind the parts for
I got disinterested
That's fair
hell I get annoyed by NMS refiners taking time lmao
How do you feel about games like Euro Truck Sim
I was the same till I picked it up on a steam sale
It's so fun
Its just driving
It's chill
only reason I like NMS not being a sim at all and arcade-y
I think sim can have negative connotations
It can be as simple or complex as you want really
I mean real time based stuff
yes
I dont like the slow wait/drive
even though I like survival sandbox like games
I mean, if I'm ever going through an audiobook or podcast, euro truck sim is my go to, that's what it is for me mostly
Same with elite dangerous
nah I like more active games, even with minecraft
Fair
Idk I like games that make my time feel valuable
Idc if it's fast or short
If it makes me feel like what I'm doing is worth it than I like it
opposite for me, I want to do as much as I can in a day
Like terraria, I like working up for more and better stuff
I like discovering things
yeah I really like terraria though I havent played it that much yet
just till wall of flesh
Like I've always wanted a game that captures the feeling of exploring a crazy labyrinth for the first time. Skyrim did that very well on my first 2-3 playthroughs
and I think stardew valley is the "slowest" game I've enjoyed because it has a lot to do in a short time frame
so even if it takes time to grow crops I feel invested enough to do other activities like fishing and mining
I just want a game that captures the same feeling of exploration as Skyrim did
Not a single game I've ever played since has come close
same, but I found skyrim kinda boring lol
The feeling of finding a dragon priest mask or learning about a new daedric artifact
Or the blood on the ice quest (when it wasn't broken)
But a game with good exploration has to have a world where those discoveries matter. A home to return to. Like in nms, for me none of the exploration feels rewarding because even when it is unique, it doesn't feel special when theres nothing to contrast it with
With Skyrim the contrast is deep in an old dungeon vs. the streets of a big city
It feel like you are going somewhere
Then returning like an adventurer would
Like secret stuff really gets me going for games
Cool Easter eggs are great
Exactly
the reward is just the experience, I guess
Ig
it would have been very boring if I did it purely solo
I like sharing stuff here and seeing what others have found
More than likely tech constraints honestly
I'd love to see a good mix of Skyrim and the Witcher 3
I never got into the Witcher 3, but the story was good
it's 100% tech constraints
Yeah
but even then, even games set in cities feel pretty meh to me
I think games focusing on a cast of characters across a space feel more lively than those
Yes for sure
Or a good mix like spiderman
Spiderman did New York fairly well
Still felt dead after a while
I just need more games that make me feel like a proper adventurer
well it's the classic open world game problem of how do you keep this space interesting indefinitely and there just not being a great solution for it
Yeah
Breath of the wild made me so disappointed
The world is just empty space mostly
Nothing ever unique or interesting imo
Then all of your weapons break, making the unique ones just as useless as a random sword that drops from an enemy
The master sword is the only usable weapon
The main Questline was good but that's it
The rest felt so weird
Errr
