Fr tho, all the devs do is make the alien things move a tiny bit closer to the Bubble every once and awhile so all the fans go nuts over it and prep for "big battles"

You still have to fly ridiculously far away from anywhere fun to find aliens, which absolutely destroy you if you aren't in a insanely upgraded ship that you can't get all the parts for without the $25 Horizons "expansion and part of a group of similarly equipped players

#

Don't forget the weeks of monotonous grinding it would take to upgrade your ship anyway

The pride and accomplishment of paying stupid amounts of in-game currency and waiting irl days if you want your ship and/or ship parts on the other side of the Bubble to get transported to your current location?

I wish I was kidding, if you have ship parts or a different ship stored at a station far away from you but you need em now your choices are:
-Buy the same parts somewhere hopefully close to you
-Do the horrid "shipping" method
-Fly your ass to em and pick em up yourself
-Give up and do something else

This'll come across as hipster but there is a huge divide when talking about "games", because from my library if you look at the things I've enjoyed (indie titles) most of the issues that people find in "games" don't really permeate as much. There's good things to be had, even if they're older, retro, w/e.

@winter yew It's not entirely that I dislike Steam, I dislike near monopolies, so I prefer to support competition, so long as it's not obnoxious and offers some differing value, i.e. as long as it's not Origin or uPlay...And really, mainly uPlay.

Since for all Origin's faults, i.e. unclear indications of DRM inclusion, it's at least generally functional & has a decent refund policy...Unlike uPlay which is just trash. So mainly I like to support stuff like Itch.io, where devs can set the revenue share and ensure they get a larger cut should they wish, and GOG, where I'm guaranteed no DRM to put up with, and with both services I don't have to use their clients unless I want to, unlike Steam, Origin, uPlay, or Epic.

@raven frost turn off motion blur, set FOV to max, disable Vsync, set FPS cap to 100. That should help

Try turning on the colourblind setting that turns the yellow boss bar to pink aswell, makes enemies a brighter red and allies a brighter green. It helps a few people
