I don't think there's anything saying they're over
They're not done with ME or Dragon Age
Gud
Doesn’t seem like the future of Dragon Age or Mass Effect is very bright
Mass Effect’s last release wasn’t highly rated either, just like Anthem appears to be
Critically-speaking, I mean. I could tell it would get mediocre reviews when the little sites reported similar scores
i'd like them to make more new ips instead of mass effect/dragon age forever & ever
Yeah. At the very least, if they mess up on any of the new IPs, the fallout isn’t quite as bad
Bethesda has become the lowest of the low
I actually bought 76 to play it with a friend and I probably got more frustrated at that game than... well, ever
I actually paid 60$ for that
todddd
Every single mechanic feels like it’s riddled with bugs so hard that you can’t even play it right
all because it had the fallout name on it
this was Todd’s plan all along
I’m just another pawn in his game
Also, keep this in mind:
It’s been almost four to five months since the game’s release and all the patches have been mostly bug fixes
smh, where's your god howard now?
That’s why they’re called patches.
godd*
zogg?
zogg indeed
I mean, no content updates
They’re entirely a triple A company so I have literally no forgiveness for them.
yeah same
not even looking forward to star field or tes VI in the slightest
Outer worlds however
Gimme
They must’ve done no QA testing because if you play the game longer than twenty minutes and do literally anything the game falls apart
tfw they released it right after ditching qa teams /s
Yep, lol
oddly enough I'm kinda more interested in Dying Light 2, at least if the story is really improved
more interested in it than what
than like, Outer Worlds
DL2’s devs are great
the only real knock I had against the first was that the story sounded super bland, so if they fix that, should be cool
For me 4x 8x AA missiles for sp air combat missions, and any 4x or guided bombs for ground heavy stuff depending on how many targets
For example the A10s 4x AG bombs were a life saver in the desert fuel supply strike mission
I don't know if I'd find railguns that great since they need to be aimed
Just FYI dogfighting drones in an A10 is mildly frustrating
@meager panther
Thx I never ping people still cuz on my first server everyone used to throw a massive bitch fit any time... 😅
YW - let em try bitching at me 😛
Speaking of AC7....time to try this out.
Just got Exodus 😩
so, uh, with my GPU upgrade NMS runs at a pretty consistent 60 fps, some dips to 55-50, and sharp dips on entering ship & descending to planets but quickly enough recovers. Smoothed out a bunch once I tossed out my settings files & let the game regenerate them, then tweaked some little details (no motion blur
)
Pretty sure it'll handle other semi-old games I have with no problems if it can deal with NMS' weirdness, lol
oooh, i should play some more Signal From Tolva with settings tuned up a little, should be able to deal with the lighting now
Hmm I completed the game ace 7
The last mission is dumb
You fly in a room in a aerial dogfight game
Wtf kinda final mission is that
Lol daymeeuhn (the guy that bought nms for 1k prerelease) made a giant "how to fix anthem" post on the anthem sub and it got a bunch of Reddit gold/silver/etc
Sounds like some good solutions
Tfw Bethesda bans one of the few players that plays their shit game because he had too much ammo hoarded
Yeah that's ridiculous
I'd be surprised if Bethesda hasn't righted that wrong yet though
I hate Bethesda but I'm still gonna buy tes6 because uhh fuck Bethesda 😎
I'm gonna buy Starfield because screw them
starfield?
Bethesda starfield
@bronze wind zogg disapproves
It's going to be good. Because it'll be a single player Bethesda game
Until starfield and tes6
People sorta hate them because of how they're handling 76
And how they've sorta devolved the rpg elements of their games
Well I hope they make starfield good
.. otherwise they gonna have some field time with me

😳
I'll punch their field
I'll throw their printers into their field and beat them with my heal
like that one scene from office space
💪
Anyway, I think they'll make some advancements in their RPG elements
They said it wouldn't be procedural
I would like a hybrid procedural/non procedural multiplanet game
Wait nvm
But thats fine if it aint
They said it's not procedural?
Well as long it's not mile wide and shallow
It's ok
I think I'm thinking of Outer worlds
Oh yeah
Oh
we don’t know anything about starfield
Yeah
We have no info on that for starfield yet
That game will be more linear
That is non procedural
Yeah
Outer worlds is gonna be small
Got it mixed up, my bad
Yeah it has like 2 planets
Which I really like
Small pp
I love linear games
I’m glad the smaller, focused single player rpg isn’t dead yet

Linear games are a good break from overly ambitious open world games
It's never been dead
Yeah nearly all games are linear..except the battle royale nonsense
I mean, these open world games could be called linear I guess if they have a focused story you can follow
I’m expecting a medium sized world for outer worlds
More metro Exodus sized
ok?
That's plenty
they aren’t fully created
you guys should probably check out all the game informer stuff
I think I'm thinking of cyberpunk
you seem a little misunderstood @meager panther
misunderstood or misinformed
One solar system called Halcyon
The solar system contains two main planets, several moons, asteroids, and space stations that players can explore
One planet is terraformed, the other is not
The terraformed planet is considered "kinder to human life" while the other planet is not and is considered more dangerous and contains alien predators
Players will have a home base space ship like Mass Effect's Normandy
Passkeys needed to access certain locations and docks
Environments are small but have intense detail
Roaming around environments is possible
There are points of no return
One explorable planet
misinformed my bad
Hmmm
I like that
same zug
I wonder if Beyond Good and Evil 2 devs will succeed in making a full planet exciting to fully explore
That'll be a tough thing to do
Oh you're zug
I change name back now
Hot
Z rug
SH-RUG
You can't lmao
How lol
That's the point
Probbalt just select a spot and land there
Oh
No manual flying
Probably not
Then what happens on walking to end of zone?
You die I guess?
Like in mass effect?
Probably a wall?
They'll probably have some cool way of keeping you within the map

Have you literally never played a game with boundaries before?
Like the wind in journey/anthem
Skyrim has invisible walls
I have never played skyrim
Fallout as well in places
No man's sky too
Lol
In atlas stations lmao
Haven't played fallout either
Oh yeah true
Have you played mario
Yeah
You can't go backwards from the start

Have you guys ever dreamt of going outside the boundaries of a video game map?
Completely undiscovered territory
That YouTube channel boundary break does that sometimes
Such a cool dream
I dream of going into zoids territory
He has huge beard that affects his aim
I don’t even know what other games are being talked about currently
Apex legends
Anthem
Idk that's all that's popular
These days
And fork knife
Tumbleweeds are my worst enemy in Metro Exodus
Zoid is everyone's dad here. He can't keep his stuff in his pants
Who has summoned me
Only an epic gamer can summon me
OMG 😨😨
Now you've done it!
I am epic gamer
mooooooooom

You must pass the epic gamer test

epic

Prepare for one excruciating question

how big pp?
Bigger than other gamers
😩😩😩
you wish
Lies
All lies
Some lies
Little did you all know

Every time I try and type Zoid it autocorrects to zoos

Zoos
So sorry to tell you dan but you’re just a collection of multiple zoos
Kraytoes dad
You know what zoids brother should do? When zoid sleeps, shave his beard and hair on one half of his face

Do it
Yeah that’s a good idea
Keep us updated
We live not close
Especially because I really do feel like dying
same tbh
Photoshop
Chris u could probably find an old unbearded photo of me in the house somewhere
ew
Look it's zoid
That actually does kinda look like him
He's a funny guy
my beard isn't that big
It's from. The show last man on Earth
It's funny how he looks more tan on the bearded side
if that becomes a trend im becoming even more gay
Haven't you heard? All men are doing it
it wouldn't shock me
I'm absolutely positively certain it's a joke

Just drove off cliff and died
It's from a tv show

That too a show about the lone survivor after a disease wipes out everyone else
So he is free to do whatever he wants
I'd find the nearest cake store and splurge
ok Buu
That has many details of the worlds
And location in the game
It's basically several towns
On the planets
You can fly or walk to them
There probably might be expansions
With new colonies added in future
Pretty cool
guys, look, something actually leaving Early Access that's been there forever:
https://www.pcgamer.com/space-engineers-is-leaving-early-access-after-more-than-five-years/
⚠️ Unauthorized Access Detected...
TALON FIREWALL... Bypassed
Accessing file... [CLASSIFIED] Communications Record of Captain Cuerva, D.
guys did you hear
ok good just checkin
body's not ready
retired so that he could be immortalized in Smash
Is it weird that I do New Game+ in every Mass Effect game so I can get the perfect ending to carry to the next one?
Nah, probably standard for diehard fans or whatever
I've really just never been able to get into the series despite trying it
ME 1 has godawful gameplay, unfortunately stuff in 1 carries through to 3
The protagonist being stuck in a military role kills it for me
Same issue with the scifi series that inspired it tbh. I just can't stand military stuffiness
I just make myself do one perfect playthrough of ME 1 so I never have to touch it again, lol. I can replay 2 and 3 any day tho
It's much less the gameplay and more the setup for me
There's not that much military stuffiness, lol. Hell, there's of that than there is in Halo 😂
People talk about it having a strong opening that gets you interested, and it just doesn't for me
Strong opening in ME 1 LMAO
If by strong opening you mean "the first half the game is horrific and makes you wanna die" then sure, lol
thats why its good
I've played the first one a bit dude, it's frontloaded with diplomatic negotiation garbage to permit or better organize some form of response to a rogue agent, lmao
No, I mean the gameplay is garbo and nothing fun happens
the gameplay is shit in every ME
Bioware's strong suit hasn't exactly been gameplay
What diplomay, you spend the whole game hunting Saren and recruiting team members 🤔
The first part of the game you're gathering evidence to try to get the higher ups to recognize Saren is a threat, lol
And then I guess you just eventually go after him
If it was literally just go after the guy it might be less tedious, lol
Yes? The council's dumb af and won't do shit, which your dude learns quickly. Then you're basically just slaughtering ungodly amounts of aliens trying to stop him
which is extra 💤
I mean you slaughter them for reasons, lol. Rescuing hot blue aliens, taking down Geth bases, killing weird alien creatures turning a settlement into zombies, learning about the Protheans and Reapers....and any side stuff you do
Yeah, yeah, suffice to say it just didn't click with me. Doesn't help that it feels almost impossible to make your character look nice and their voice acting is very...Eeh, regardless of whether playing as male/female
I don't think I've played a Bioware game yet where I've felt happy with the character creator, lol
On a different note, looks like Halo Wars 1 & 2 are free to try for Xbox Gold folks this weekend
And they're on Game Pass, which is good cuz I'll burn before I pay more than $5 for either of those xD
I bought Halo Wars when it first released, it was alright. 2 looks like 💩 tho
@jade lake ya boi Reggie is retiring
I've read that both Halo Wars games are good for being console RTS games, which aren't all that common
The first one played really well and I'd imagine the second does too, the problem is they cease to be fun after you play through them once
Speaking of console RTS games, Battle for Middle Earth II was fuckin fantastic on Xbox 360
I mean that's kind of RTS games without a skirmish mode or multiplayer in a nutshell
Although it does tend to be more pronounced since RTS games never really seemed to figure out some secondary objectives or whatever to make replay more enjoyable, or at least not that I've ever really noticed
Oh they have both, problem being (for HW 1) that you can literally beat anyone you play against in 10 minutes if you know how to build your base right and there's nothing they can do about it
So the Starcraft problem i guess, lol
Yeet
@cinder vessel Top players could magically get ODST's in less than 10 minutes and spam your base before you could even remotely have any good units up........unless you picked the same leader and did it to them, in which case it was an unbreakable stalemate
speaking of frustrating multiplayer, i don't know why i keep trying Apex Legends, lol
i think i just really like sliding? i should probably play Mirror's Edge instead
ugh, EA...Don't try to sell me on your sub thing when I'm just trying to price your games 🙄
Some of the dudes that made Monkey Island made a new game that's free on the Epic Store 🤔
God I love Thane
oh god oh fuck
whytho
Because he's badass
i should really try to make my way through those games so i can form a more developed opinion
with each bioware game i've hit similar issues of rapid disinterest tho, so
There's some good af characters in the Mass Effect games
Thane, Mordin, Garrus, Tali, Legion, Samara, Wrex, Grunt.......good times 😢
"Had to be me, somebody else might have gotten it wrong"
😭
''Have killed many, Shepard. Many methodes. Gunfire, knives, drugs, tech attacks, once with farming equipment, but not with medicine.''
okay
I didn't say I was thrilled to find it
I was just kinda amazed
Like "wow. so thats real" Just like when I found out about Tsutomu Miyazaki the other day
Pirates of Penzance, anyone?
It’s just the way it is.
what's that? Pirates of Penzance, I mean
lol not gonna lie Exo i wasn't reading the names earlier and so just thought S0ul posted the random pokémon thing
lmao
wow i can type the accented e but not typical words, great me
gmr have you heard of an indie game called anodyne
man, i just saw a snippet of one of the early Anthem cutscenes and it bums me out that the rest of the campaign's missions are as rote as they are. That early (intro?) cutscene would probably draw you in if you saw & read nothing else about the game
which is silly because it's not only not the first game they've made with it (it's still Frostbite, I believe), but also not the only game made with it
they did an oopsie
if nothin' else i'm hoping they're given the time & resources to build it up from here, because it's their first new IP in awhile
i just was wishing it was great from the beginning
kinda tired of games having to be built on to be better
yeah, i know that vibe
it's what makes me enjoy some of the smaller games from big devs more, they're not trying to be everything and feel stronger as a result, at least sometimes
Its following the now seemingly traditional path of looter shooters in that it will be rough for a year or two then be pretty good
or at least mostly good
For me I'd just need to see improved mission variety and the next story arc being better and I might be inclined to pick it up. That's with the thinking that they'll smooth out technical issues tho
Also know that there's a general feeling that they need to improve a lot of the other aspects of the gameplay, which for others may be true, but seeing "better grind" or whatever won't do anything for me, lol
Why a year or two, they already have a 90 day roadmap dropping next week 🤔
Sooo you think they'll have technical issues sufficiently sorted to get content drops within the first three months? Think that's optimistic planning on their end if so
I mean, 95% of the technical issues I've seen or heard of got fixed with the day one patch
soul you seem naive to think that its gonna be fixed in 3 months let alone a day one patch
it should be fixed right now
but god knows it wont be lmao
feel sorry for folks that paid to get in a bit earlier tbh
well, if they haven't enjoyed it that is, if they have then nothin' to feel sorry for them over
New content drops in March, lol

someone gave it to me
lol, make it sound like a sickness
radical 😎
I feel like it’s always and always will be a good decision to wait “games as a service” titles out
Oh I didn’t mean to say this as a response to you, it’s great you got it free
waiting it out is a good idea cos by the time you've waited enough you probably won't want to play it anymore anyway
well think about how you’d feel after playing a shallower game for a year until it gets fixed. It’s not as fresh as going in the first time and in the case of games like No Man’s Sky or Destiny, your player base will falter and many players don’t actually return because of other games by the time these updates roll in. That’s why getting it right the first time is so important...
Assuming you meant to say isn’t?
considering i'm working on a game myself
yeah getting it right the first time is crucial
I couldn’t tell if you did a typo or not. Unless you meant you like to wait video games out and forgetting about them? Getting confused with a 1:57 AM mind
ayy east coast gang
Or you can just get involved with things like Subnautica, where you wait through an alpha to see if anything is happening and then jump on a game mid development haha
i'm working on an NMS half-fangame
basically i'm trying to make a game with a similar tone and storytelling pattern
At least I have a logical reason to be up at this hour unlike my other nights... I mean, ahem, nights of which I go to sleep like a normal person. My neighborhood got robbed twice
Actually sounds intriguing. I’m guessing it’s similar because of an exploration aspect?
Wait what neighborhood are you @winter yew
also oof
it's actually more of a platformer, i'm just basing a lot of the narrative stuff off of NMS lore
and storytelling
i've been posting screenshots of it's development in #no-mans-art
OH, the lower poly work?
nah, it's sprite based
it's technically Saturday somewhere, and i can't wait any longer to show you this way too satisfying hazard placement #screenshotsaturday #indiedev https://t.co/KXPBDH6N8r
a lot of this is placeholder stuff
sock thief's are the worst
No but I seriously think my neighbors are to blame too for enticing these criminals
developments kinda slow cause im bad at level design
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yeah they’ve just been coercing unlocked vehicles. No breaking or entering at all
I guess nobody thought we’d have any issues
I’ll bring in Clifford
Ah Clifford
He’s always got my back. We’ve been buds since I was two
I had to pry myself from my window a few times past few nights. I just keep getting paranoid, thinking I’m seeing things when I’m not
Though, to be fair, one night I did see more than a few vehicles with one a bit suspicious if my eyes weren’t playing tricks
https://www.thurrott.com/xbox/200039/microsoft-to-talk-next-gen-consoles-at-e3-2019#
Halo Infinite to be a launch title; will have RPG elements and allow players to make decisions that impact the story ugghh
RPG elements getting into every other game genre make me sad
Decisions to affect story: cool.
Decisions to adjust stats or whatever: eeehhh
Halo RPG... 🤔
Honestly...
I dont hate that idea
think it might be pretty cool if dont correctly
I only like the narrative choices part of RPGs and next to nothin' else, lol
Fugl still looks really charming to me 😃
Huh, so it seems Bethesda's sticking to Fallout 76, at least for now:
https://fallout.bethesda.net/en/article/7Lw6jVvhjzSNzuUMmKZgwn/fallout-76-inside-the-vault-our-roadmaps
I currently have no interest in this game, but I have a feeling it'll be amazing in the fall
Interested to see what a Fallout raid is like
It's kind of weird to me to look at this roadmap having checked out extensive coverage of the fundamental issues at play with the game
Elder scrolls online was pretty bad at launch too
Not near the same state tho, at least from what I recall seeing at the time
yay I finally killed it in proper survival for the first time, feels great man
I prepped enough, top tier armor and potions
no slow falling potions tho
Damn what beautiful end music
The story too
wat?
Is it bad that I kinda want to get Destiny 2 Forsaken with all previous expansions (I haven't played since a month after the game released) instead of Anthem now
I'm like 5 hours into my trial for Anthem and it's definitely not looking good so far. Which is sad because I've been defending it for months. I didn't know how bad the loot pool and missions were in the full game. The demo was buggy af but they put a bunch of good guns and gear in its loot pool so you didn't get bored, the full game has level-gated shit
5 hours and I've quite literally only seen repeats of 10 weapons and even less gear for my two Javs. Not to mention the fuckin Temples part of the story that they should have just cut
play...warframe...? 🤔
Haven't played D2 for a long time but it's definitely worth it
Surprised to hear that from yoi
You
Warframe 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢 🤢
Wasn't at launch but now is
I kinda hope Destiny 3 becomes a culmination of all the planets and locations of both 1 and 2
Or they stop and continue updating 2
I really really wanted Anthem to be good but these design choices and loot table are horrendous, which I thought wasn't gonna be a thing in the full game because how could a "larger" loot table be worse?
They failed to mention that loot is HEAVILY level-gated, I didn't see an Uncommon til I was at least lvl 6. And they also failed to mention that there's like 10 guns in the game and all the "good loot" is just higher tier versions of those guns
Lame
All the guns I've seen look the same
i mean if i have to choose a loot'em up game i'd rather go free than paid but that's just me
especially when all the paid ones still carry over a free to play sort of marketplace
you guys know the warhammer series
I've only played space Marines
did you like it
I did
want a free hame
Fun campaign
game
Nah someone else will though ha
I'll check the warhammer server
I'm assuming we'll get a Destiny 3 when they leave Activision and that will likely be last one, but I'd say we'll get mostly new planets
They already split from Activision
I'm pretty sure theyre on like a 15 year contract for destiny games or something
destiny won't be going anywhere soon
ham
Well they've got to finish I think this year for the contract
lol
I have over 900 games I don’t need more haha
I already have the game from a bundle in the past
vermintide 2?
wouldn't people in a warhammer server be more likely to already have it, lol
Destiny will consist of a series of four MMO-style "sci-fantasy action shooter" titles, released every other year beginning in Fall 2013.
well I thought someone in the server could be a big fan but not have vermintide since it's at least fairly new
I guess I'll give it to my streamer friend to use for a giveaway
Looks like you're right. Bungie split from activision last month and will be self-publishing from now on
I have a feeling I'll like the next game they make more
I'm fucking dead, Bioware just released their roadmap and it's horrific 😂😂😂😂😂
I was pretty sure it had been out...?
quite a change of pace from you since before release until now
even just a few hours ago, lol
How long will Anthem last I wonder
@winter yew Now I've seen the full game and "full" loot table, I'm pissed
Weird to think they were also sort of planning out Dragon Age alongside all this, if I'm not mistaken
And they released their fancy new roadmap that's laughably bad
welcome to the gaming industy as of 2019. broken games get more sales than ones that come out correctly
and thus the cycle repeats
it's all about marketing these days
over... and over..
and it works too well
Games are jsut another commodity like movies
destiny 1 was lackluster. dlc fixed it for an extra thirty dollars. people who played the game early got the worst deal of anyone
destiny 2 did the exact same thing and people still fell for it
Though i think Apex legends proved a point that no marketing can sometimes be better than lots of marketing
it was marketed as the devs understanding what messed them up last time iirc
but it happened again
I'm definitely waiting on Anthem now, holy shit
respawn entertainment would probably be making titanfall 3 right now if they hadn't had horrible sales for titanfall 2
which SUCKS
titanfall 2 was amazing
RIGHT??
Yes it was
i'm...so confused by Anthem's roadmap...
https://www.ea.com/games/anthem/acts
They...Have time-limited freeplay events, I guess?
And they have a couple repeating within the first couple months...?
i think titanfall 2 failed so bad only because it release right at the same time as a COD game and a Battlefield game
it just was poor timing
Same with battleborne
FO76, Anthem, Destiny. Who's next?
Also, we can't forget No Man's Sky, but at least that went somewhere
I mean obviously marketing works cuz I was all into ace combat 7 but all I heard about for weeks in this channel was Apex and Anthem; Anthem sounds like it’s had a rocky release
Not saying I told you so
lmao
Curious to see how it sells
The funnest part to me atm is people appealing to me about it haha
Anyone watch open world games on YouTube?
He's got a pretty positive outlook on Anthem
All Anthem gets til April is "legendary missions", time-limited freeplay events, and new items. Then it gets ONE new stronghold. Then it's back to 😴 til the cataclysm in May 😂
Probably devoting a smaller portion of their team to work on the next big thing
FO76 put out a roadmap recently, by the way
seems like roadmaps for broken games are the things these days
"we're sorry we messed up your game at launch so to make you feel like you're actually gonna get a purpose for the sixty dollars you spent on us, here's a roadmap"
Well it was worth being cautious so if you don’t like it you did buy into it haha
I think 76s roadmap will change the game drastically
it's the devs attempting to swoon the players back into the game
no doubt, zug
it's just too bad they did no QA testing at all
even for patches AFTER the game's release
Anthem’s dead in a month, lol. It has worse reviews than FO 76 and their sad attempt at a roadmap just blew any chance it had
Yuh
I got attacked multiple times for saying “be careful” about the game
Ok I’m satisfied of lecturing
lol
here's something
What wants to bet they had to scrap the whole thing and redo everything in 16 months
instead of using the money you were giving to bioware, give it to God of War. you will not be disappointed
Power came back
I was of the same opinion for what it's worth Aethena
Anthem just screamed wait & see to me
Nah, give it to Tetris Effect instead of God of War
Lol
let's compromise: give it to ANYTHING ELSE other than bioware right now
well, that and Bethesda
GOW is so good 😩
It was like 5 & half years of preproduction and half a year of ohfuckwegottaship Zug
when dragon age releases, the talk of the town will be how they "had to pull teams off of anthem to work on dragon age," so we think their last mediocre game will not repeat, though it will
Sad
at least andromeda had environment variety
that was something i kept waiting to see from anthem and all the demos & preview stuff made it clear that it...just wasn't there
Still enjoying Andromeda a sound soul?
😎
at least anthem works unlike some of the other games as a service titles. I just think it has so many issues that'll be gone in a year that it's not worth buying right now
I'd rather spend a quarter of the price on getting Destiny 2 Forsaken, it's $20 rn and has all previous DLC's. Say what you will about the story but I've spent many an hour shooting things in Destiny. Hell, I had at least 100 hours in vanilla D2 before I got bored. I've spent 5 in Anthem and want to off myself whenever I load it up
give it some time and the little baby will be something. I'm just so tired of "foundations" of what's next that I finally didn't buy into it this time
i thought you liked anthem soul
triple A Early Access is so good tho /s
@winter yew It doesn't work, especially on PC. Hell, people are getting the ol 95% again
lol wait seriously
o h
lol, wait, how could I forget, use half of the amount of funds you're gonna use on anthem for the dreams early access next month 👉 😎 👉
at least they were upfront about it, lmao
I can't even use the full-auto sniper because it glitches and takes 5 seconds to draw it, and half the time when I reload I randomly shoot in the middle of it
And I randomly reload when I'm shooting. Or fall when I'm hovering
Trust me, it doesn't work
And I'm on Xbox, which has the least amount of glitches. PC players are on fire rn
Apex is 1800x more fun
6900x
Thats a big number
There's also less than 20 guns in Anthem, the only upgrade you get is finding higher tier versions of the ones you already own.......which look exactly the same
BioWare did an oopsie
Destiny 2 vanilla had better loot, which is fuckin sad
Apex is build on the Titanfall universe
but it sounds like they kind of did away with all that
Wasn't all that deep to begin with
Sadly, had a lot of potential
Lore for Anthem
Ah
But yeah, neat that it's based in the same world as titanfall
Worse
Dudes at the office were talking about Apex all week, finally checked it out cause of yall, might give it a try
Looks like its got a lot of the same mechanics as TF2
its hella fun
Do you get all the characters at the start, or do you have to unlock them along the way?
Feels like titanfall
Bioware decided "Hey, we're popular because we made a singleplayer trilogy with decent gameplay and a great story. Why not make an entirely new multiplayer-only IP focused around shooting things with a mediocre story? BEST PLAN EVER!"
Good plan sounds legit
To be fair, Mass Effect was a really mixed bag
Apollosiris, I think 6 characters are available right away then there Are currently 2 you can unlock
ME3 was a bit of a let down
Ah ok
Also, the guns aren't prescribed per character right? You pick them up in drops?
Correcto
Si señor
apex still bums me out a bit
competitive games just aren't for me, at least not when people are treating it like a pro-level sport or win or all else
imagine playing a battle royale game
i'd ditch my squads in apex if it didn't seem like such a dick move
i'd ditch my squad if it didnt mean certain death
there's that too
lol
because eventually you're gonna end up end of match against a squad of fuckers that either got lucky or are good pals and wreck shit
thats why you find a group u like to play with
no thanks
45 now
noice
I just play Apex to survive as long as possible, if I win it's cool but I mostly love the gameplay tbh
multiplayer games always give me the same ish:
-people i wanna play with can't all agree on it
-we can't afford it all at the same time & if it has progression means last player in is sorta fucked
Apex fits the first atm
Monster Hunter World fits the last
^
I picked Monster Hunter WOrld up much later & know my friends are probably like super decked out & it wouldn't be fun to play with them, or for them to replay early junk
I think NMS really has taught me the zen of games in general. like, you'll maybe win a match of Apex, but you're never going to like "beat" the game
so just have fun along the way at your own pace
i can't when squadmates are being squadmates
I find smart squads usually, it's weird
I'm often split between wanting to help them or feeling like a drag if not both
Oh hell no, I don't touch MH games. Too much grind
At this point I'm pretty damn sure the other folks I get in squads with just have where the hell loot is semi-memorized, lmao
You liked Destiny 1 i don't want to hear it, lol
which game? 🤔
MHW
apex 🍭
I suck so much at it but I like
I'm at a point where monsters don't really do much damage to me, but I can go from half health to dead in one hit occasionally
Destiny didn't feel like grinding unless you were trying to get raid-specific gear, and the raids were fun enough that getting the gear was just a bonus. MH involves fighting large damage-sponges over and over and over with weird melee weapons 😂
I'm not a fan of destiny, though I only played the first, base game
MHW has it beat in the DLC department, adding content that's free and pretty neat
Weird melee weapons with some cool af aspects > pewpewguns
Plus bowguns are the shit
Esp. when mixed with traps
I use the Insect Glaive
Buff yourself up and knock them down
I also recently got used to the slinger, and I've taken out a few monsters with lucky shots, so that's good
One more diss on Anthem then I'm done for the day, lol:
The game is so horrifically boring that I've only played 5 hours of it in 4 days. Hell, I just beat Mass Effect 2 (a 9 year old game) and instantly started up NG+ before even thinking about starting up Anthem 😂
I've heard mixed things about Anthem
I'm guessing it's much more fun as a squad than it is alone
I wonder if they made strongholds available solo
As a previously diehard fan of it that has been defending it for months, the game is absolute shit and they just signed their death warrant with their shitty new roadmap @rigid haven
drip-feed that story like it's GTA Online
S0ul on those wild swings
The way ya talked the past week I thought you'd been playing more of Anthem
ik
Video games
Still enjoy it
Video Games are ___
smooth
gooey
nougaty
cummy
zoidgames
Can't wait to play some cummy games
I'm just the annoying person that is too positive about games
u are my biological bro, bro

so never
no, next summer, right guys??? next summer??????!?!?!?
u left what u mean

remember how I said nobody wanted warhammer
well I gave it to a streamer and even they didn't want to give it away in a giveaway
does ANYONE want a free game???
peter griffin
i'm getting marmalade all over my keyboar dholy shit
but newer and more game modes
ohno
yes @bronze wind
if anyone wants vermintide 2 let me kno
fair enuff
😎
😎
I like free games but I've also never played Warhammer so no thanks
Is warhammer where they have big armour?
I've played somethign where they had big armour
not that one. this is more early century stuff
same series though
...weirdly enough...

I think the main reason most people decline it is because "vermintide 2"
Expand try out r/giftofgames
good idea
I will later. right now I'm writing waking titan fan fiction to practice writing
and no, not that type of fan fiction. not now anyway...
😩
fan fiction in general is....
Emily came closer.
"You know... I really do like humans..."
ehh
good practice
...sure
that's basically all it is to me. also it's fun to link plot threads
oh yeah, here's a question
is dauntless any good
so far it's something about 2311T waking up
but that's all I've got and I dunno if I'm gonna continue
Basically, it's: a tough survival/stealth game?
the shinkawa art makes me nut
I keep it half in mind
Largely because of the team involved
It seems like it may be somewhere between a decent game and a bad game and I still can't figure out which yet
Btw here's the video linked in the article:

And uhhh, hrm. I really dig the score, or what it's going for, but having it block out the mech sounds is an...odd choice
OH shit, this comes out in a couple of weeks 😮
Is it bad that I could care less about any new games anymore, lol. Besides Metro Exodus
Anthem and Exodus are the only new games I wanted, smh
Now one is dead
I guess I'm excited for Cyberpunk
just a day ago you were head over heels for anthem
It's dead to me
only games im looking forward to is probs outer worlds and whatever nintendos got planned
its too bad about anthem
but just goes to show how far bioware has fallen
i'm looking forward to picking up KH3 eventually, Dragon Quest Builders 2 has me pretty excited, Left Alive has me curious, I should look into where X4 is at in terms of jank, Astroneer seems like it's alright & just came out, and uh...Well, several Switch titles have me interested but without a Switch it's kinda pointless to tease myself too much with them
Several games I'm interested in are still in the Distant Release phase tho
Kh3 is so cool but the story is meh-ish
Like Sable has me really interested but that may not come out until near the end of this year, or more likely, 2020
AC games all play the same anyway
anyone hype for days gone tho /s
no
but customizable motorcycle!
survival zombies BRO!!
it is such a bro game
bcs its 2008 😎
feels dickish to rag on it too much, but it's just...i mean, it's there, it's a thing
Because some folks put years of time into it
people put time into 76
i dont feel bad shitting on it
ok poor example, but you know what i mean
lol i was going to say, at least Days Gone isn't really overselling itself
It's a postapocalyptic biker journey thing
You either know you're down for that or not, i guess
Astroneer is nice but needs some work
Why is it not a good thing @jade lake?
it feels more like they're copying their style and it comes off as cheap rather than good
Oh.
boi 👀
90% of PS exclusives don't have my interest because they're interactive movies that I guarantee you I'd play once and never touch again, lol
yeah p much
The only PS exclusives that I'm slightly interested in are God of Boi and Spider-Man
i disagree but glad you enjoy them
Cobra tv thinks something's going to be announced really soon
In relation to what?
NMS
Ohh
well sure
I think they're done with major NMS stuff, personally
3 months is about right
That's not dissimilar from their past patterns of development
I played it yesterday for the first time since a couple weeks after Next, unfortunately I got bored within 5 minutes and quit
But that's why I give it longer than 5 minutes because it turns out it takes longer than 5 minutes for a game or basically any other form of media worth engaging with to get going
Probably the only things that get right into it within 5 minutes are shitty commercials, lol
They're all games I've played before, lol. I don't have anything new new
Newest game I have is Apex xD
I keep telling myself I'll do a second playthrough of DOOM 2016 but then I stare at its install icon and go "meh"
Had to force myself through one playthrough
Hell, I'd rather play the old DOOM games
Eh
Best part of Doom 2016 to me was working with SnapMap, but that's limited and seemingly bound to their network so is in an awkward position
Wait, I forgot I was excited for Rage 2
Lol
There, that's one game I care about between now and Cyberpunk 😂
I should look into some more upcoming indie titles
Although the smaller games from the larger publishers have me pretty interested atm, like Left Alive & Dragon Quest Builders 2
Bums me out that two of my preferred indie devs have titles in Early Access
I'm one of the few that loved Rage, so Rage 2 existing (and being a massive open-world mix of Mad Max and DOOM with more vehicles, guns, and abilities) is 😍 to me
I'll be more excited when I know it doesn't have similar issues to Mad Max & if it's varied enough in its activities
I got a giggle when they said there's no snipers because they would completely ruin the feel of the game
The original had them...?
It had one
Close-range sniper is like a shotgun but good
Oh, you mean weapons for the player, rather than enemies?
Rage 2 doesn't have a sniper because a sniper wouldn't really match the game's focus on close destruction
It also has a gun that's obviously made for YouTube videos, lol. Gravity Darts shoot something then launch them wherever you want
You can also do stupid shit like shoot someone, snap your fingers, then have the bullets combust and light the poor bastard on fire 😂
gravity darts sound like just cause's attachable jet things
i think bioware is done
cool beans
and dropperd
straight downhill from there
Jedi Academy's lightsaber combat is hella fun, lol
I just sliced a poor stormtrooper's leg off
Mega Man X/Zero z-saber is ace
