It's been a very popular and successful game across many platforms ever since, and it would be downright trivial for them to make an 'early access' Monster Hunter.
If you want that kind of thing, go look at Dauntless 😛
The only thing I'm kind of discouraged by the PC release of MHW is that I've read it will have 'visual parity' with the console version.. which means it will not look as good as it could on a PC with higher specs when compared to the lower spec console versions.
The good news is thought that it won't be locked to 30fps at least.. but you'll apparently need a pretty beefy system to use the 60fps setting.

@gaunt gale i liked skyrim, wasn't my favourite es game, but it had the best combat of the series. My perfect elder scrolls game would be morrowind's character progression and spellcrafting and whatnot, oblivion questing, and skyrim technical look, feel and combat

I did, it's basically a money management sim. I'm not finished the game so took a bit of time to get through most of it, if you've loads of coin you could finish it in a couple of hours. I thought it was pretty good as I got a bit of time out of it. Nice to see the town getting built back up. Wouldn't say Henry ends up as a nobleman though, you can't even speak to the people who live in the town and they don't treat you any differently. Decent time sink if you don't have a pile of coin

I'm seven hours in though and I haven't had any game breaking problems or crashes. Based on my early impressions, I'd say its definitely worth trying again used so you can take it back if you have worse performance issues.
Then again though, big fix patches are supposed to be coming eventually (whatever that means) so might be worth waiting even longer.
