usually cracking UWP games involves running the game and copying it after the system's decrypted it, or something like that

it should be noted:

The funny thing is, this isn't even the first time something like that happened to to the Forza series on PC. Back in January 2017 they accidentally pushed a developer build of Forza Horizon 3 full with debug menus and unreleased content. On top of that, due to the open nature of that build it even enabled the game to be pirated.

The fact that something similar happened again shows how awful version control must be on Windows Store. It baffles me that this can happen from simply flicking the wrong switch.

a bunch of games were stupid and added Red Shell without telling players

It's a piece of software that fingerprints otherwise-anonymous parts of your computer when launching a game with it in it, and lines them up with identical fingerprints taken from advertising campaigns (if there are any)

but gaming subreddits went off on it for being "spyware" despite it not looking at anything the game doesn't

#

it's literally just a way of seeing whether/which marketing campaigns you have are working

#

incidentally, the kind of stuff it fingerprints is screen resolution, operating system, default browser

#

there's more to it but it's along the same lines

#

literally no way to identify you from it, only "person that clicked on x ad"

Yeah the only mobs I’ve seen are my tamed animals and cave spiders from a spawner. No naturally spawned mobs that I’ve seen at least
