it would be cool if the bridge was rounded on the same radius as the tree
@sleek shadow RuneScape.
heyoo
Would be cool if I could design the side of the bridge that's next to me to fit my style
In terraforming that peninsula anyway
Can someone get rid of "kevs real estate" for me? Thanks... I didn't want that building
And I didn't ask for that building
I'll buy it anyway ❤
Give me money
£££
@sleek shadow feel free
where did it come from
Whale
Wait to which suggestion @agile raven
That side was only a placeholder anyway
@light cairn https://i.imgur.com/USfhCCG.png
I'm busy for the next week though but I'll see if I can sneak on
I dont want the real estate place so redo it or remove it
neat
how do you get things labeled on the map
^
Only mods
@ocean wind Ask a Helper+ rank.
I want my teahouse to have lable
Deluxer, Joey, and Whale all have the perms now.
i have no idea how
Oh
O h
Then sorry for bothering you
I'll do it then. >.>
Thanks quav
Remove my real estate too, thanks
It's the asian house
On the peninsula
Next to the new bridge
I don't have the coords
I have to go back to work
I'll be back in a few hours
is that like cheaper casa bonita
it's actually more expensive

@brisk merlin https://i.imgur.com/LTqHCg3.png
Just grass now.
I relocated it to the creative world, though.
It's in creative, if you want to see it.
is creative about to become the museum
@limber harness can you change the MC commands to allow for 1 character sethome names?
I don't think I can
But I'll look when I get home
Or when I get on the other train line.
@limber harness for context: https://i.imgur.com/1GTRg30.png
Maybe. Not sure tbh

Hey Quav? What mod u use for the health bar
neat is a nice mod
^
I love inventory tweaks and mouse tweaks as well
@daring badge https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/neat
neet
yea only reason I didnt add that is the server has a similar function
Thx.. so I will need to install forge? (I remember trying to get forge to work with optifine was a real bitch)
Yes. But optifine dissnt
But you can’t install optifine, then install forge
In the same orofile
Can forge run optifine as a mod itself?
Like just any old mod
I personally havent used optifine with forge so I have no clue
google is always there for you, you don't need to yell
also you can install Optifine exactly like any other mod
you don't even need to "extract" it or anything
what's a google
@ocean wind @sick arrow, sorry. I have really strong opinions about PvP and the related behaviour that tends to accompany it. I got snippy ingame, because I was irritable and sick of the topic at large. This is about as reasonable an explanation as I can give: https://i.imgur.com/CnbVhBf.png
Optifine is ridiculously easy to install
ok, but I mean, it's a game
It's not a game when the people act the way I described in that screenshot.
I respect your opinion, but I've had a couple really good experiences with it
well ban them?
we're in control here
"Hurr durr it's just a joke bro!" "calm down!"
Is what I'm getting out of you.
thats not what they said at all?
Since you're unwilling to read, I'm not gonna continue.
wat
you are a ranked member on the server. there are active mods/admins on frequently. and we all communicate in discord. if pvp issues arise , there is ample power here to take care of it.
that is what I am saying.
I don't know how you interpreted the former
i will also say while pvp can breed that behavior it is very far from the only time that happens
go play Ark pve
shudders
Ark is full of doxing and ddos, theres a feature that makes it so you cant build close to someone elses structure and people abuse it to block off areas
and since theres no pvp you cant break the structures because they belong to a player
Every game, every community, even irl, has its toxic corners. That screenshot was regarding the PvP communities specifically. It wasn't naming them as the sole type to commit such acts.
Jeez, wtf Ark
That Ark rubbish sounds pretty similar to the PvM community in RuneScape.
That's beyond your typical trolly, obnoxious behavior
Yup.
PvM? Not sure I'm familiar
is that different to PvE?
Erm, think WoW raids.
ah
Big team taking down a big boss.
Yeah, follow now, not accustomed to it being called PvM
Yeah, that's an Rs thing lol. Idk why they call it that either.
My first thought was, Player vs. Monster but had the same second thought Skip said, lol
PvE in RuneScape, is what we call "Skillers".
People who focus on non-combat stuff.
If you don't do a lot of combat, and mainly train your skills, you're a skiller.
The Skiller community has just as toxic people in it.
i guess pvm is a more focused like, sub group to pve most games dont bother using, interesting
now you've got me wanting to do raids
but i don't like pairing up with randos
didn't have to talk in Tera though
Well, RuneScape has a lot of dedicated clan chats, that you can join and meet people to form a proper team.
So at least there's that.
I mean, you can do stuff with randoms, but the result will be the same as any other game - lack of communication/teamwork.
RuneScape's current most difficult boss is called "Telos". To my knowledge, only three players have been able to max out its "enrage mechanic" and defeat it. The higher its enrage, the higher its combat stats are. That means it has higher defence and damage output, so you miss a lot of your hits, and take more damage. The max enrage is 4,000.
You also attain an ingame title for doing this.
daaang
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/The_Warden
The title the Warden is unlocked by defeating Telos with at least 500% enrage. Killing the boss at 2,000% enrage unlocks the silver version and at 4,000% (maximum) unlocks the golden version.
oh wow, so the alt versions were only just added
Yup. Initially, Jagex didn't expect anyone to actually hit the cap.
It took an entire year, for the first player to do so.
On 11 August 2017, the player sadden became the first player to defeat Telos at 4000% enrage.
The golden and silver versions of <player name>, the Warden were added, because of this.
Due to players proving Jagex wrong, they're working on an even more difficult boss, called "Solak".
Sadly, RuneScape isn't immune to the 'power creep' that affects combat in most MMOs. So, they keep having to release higher levelled equipment, and higher levelled bosses with even more difficult and complex mechanics.
yeah, not an easy thing to balance/figure out
when u said golden and silver versions, (being the nerd i am) immediately jumped to POKEMON
i need a second monitord for discord 😦
Unpopular opinion: The original Gold/Silver on the gameboy colour was better than the remakes on the DS.
fire red and leaf green were pretty good tho
Eh, I still liked the original Red/Blue/Yellow, but I'll admit that Fire Red/Leaf Green had a lot of new, welcome content.
Especially the Sevii Islands.
^
Emerald will forever be my favourite.
I tried editing an Emerald ROM before, in an attempt to remake the entire gameworld on a larger scale, and add the Johto and Sinnoh Kanto regions.
Oops
Johto and Kanto.
I'm still surprised that series is still going to some degree
Yeah, Pokémon is just one of those things that never die out. There's a few things like that.
i mean, it's literally the number one grossing media franchise of all time, it's not going anywhere
franchises are gross, that's true enough
?
Eh, as long as they're creating things that I like, and enjoy, I don't care how scummy or whatever they are.
i don't really understand what you mean by that Leon
Capitalism is.... um. Well, it's not a good thing, but it's better than alternatives.
@light cairn I think they're referring to the generalisation that people in the upper corporate 'area' are corrupt, and that type stuff.
Like the CEO and Board of Directors make more money than the normal employees.
Beyond corporate culture being awful, it's also just culturally stagnant to maintain franchises
Like there's a reason Horizon: Zero Dawn felt like a good breath of fresh air. New properties and the like are so much better than churning out Assassin's Creed/Final Fantasy #999999999
Give or take with certain franchises, there's a certain safe boundary they have to play into
Move past those boundaries, and you get people annoyed as fuck, which is in itself frustrating as hell
Like Call of Duty tried for a bit there with its more futuristic titles, then snapped way the fuck back to WW2...Again
I'd comment more on Battlefield, but I honestly don't keep as much of an eye on it, since it just seems so safe for the most part
Like the most it tried was, what, Hardline or whatever?
i've gotten away from battlefield more recently
1 just has such a lack of variety of customization and it makes me really sad, and the amount of time to get back into battle after dying felt way too long to me
Battlefield is that War game on the 360 where you can play as a tank, and stuff, right?
lol
but yeah, hardline actually had some really cool gadget stuff like ziplines even if they didn't thematically fit with the rest of the gameplay
I mean roughly speaking, yeah, Quav
what's a good way to sum it up, "combined warfare" i guess?
Maan, the last really experimental Battlefield was years ago now...
Er, 2142?
Only know due to having the wiki page up, lol
One of my irl friends I went to highschool with, had a 360, with Battlefield and a few CoD games. It was the only time I ever played that genre.
Not a fan of it.
i don't expect you to like any PvP games now 😛
Neither am I for the most part, but I do like some of the weirder titles
the originals were definitely a product of their time (as in 1942-2142)
Black Ops/Advanced Warfare/Infinite Warfare were cool moves on CoD's part, I've to give that to'em
Um, I did like Medal of Honour for the Ps1, and 007 Goldeneye on the N64.
i still can't believe they're doing black ops 4
Not that I've played any of those, mind, but just from having watched vids & read about them
i mean treyarch is my favorite dev of the bunch but holy cow
actually the black ops 3 story was pretty cool
Black Ops is so fuckin' outta its mind from what I've heard, lol
I think 2 was the really overwrought one?
it's technically in the WaW universe so it's great in my book
My friend was pretty obsessed with Black Ops, and he had 1 and 2. Always tried to get me to play the zombies thing.
2 was weird because they tried to do a kind of branching narrative thing but not entirely
Zombies honestly should be a spinoff at this point, but it probably wouldn't survive on its own
Yeah, if memory serves 2 is where they tried to get sorta meta but played it safe so said basically nothing with the story? lol
i feel like they could develop zombies into a much more fully featured game if they had a full budget
I can't remember much of what I heard about 3, 🤔
I just know he'd camp the zombie thing for over a hundred waves, and get bored.
i really can't remember much about 2 at all other than you can make a few choices that change the outcome
the new zombies is actually better because you can "beat" it
imo
I can literally rewatch CoD vids and be like, "Oh...Wait a sec...I did watch this once...Wow this was all forgettable."
3 was basically all bout cyber soldiers with enhancements and stuff which was cool to me
I seem to recall 3 sorta reeled the narrative back in somewhat
But that's about all I can remember about it
had some really memorable setpieces for me
i love when games go all "trippy" for lack of a better word
also i have to commend them for being one of the only series that still keeps split screen play a thing
Noah Caldwell Gervais is who I've typically watched the vids of covering the CoD series. He's maybe not the best, but he offers an interesting perspective at least
I miss splitscreen co-op
I remember playing the older Halo games with cousins on the couch
We were usually messing around in Forge, or playing Infected (now Flood) with other random players
Splitscreen was then removed, though I'm not sure which installment of it was first
Forge was like the "creative mode" right? Jesus Christ
That really takes me back
Though I sat around at my friend's house playing it
Mhmm
I know the oldest cousin would create these weird structures and things
he was really into it
Me and the others? We'd play around doing random things
Fighting on Banshees, testing random guns, etc
I remember we'd try to see how much damage a Focus Rifle would do to a Scorpion
My friend and I would just spawn in vehicles and ride them around, killing each other. It wasn't quite what I wanted to do, but it was fun nonetheless
@light cairn @cinder vessel Um, sorry. I had to go afk real quick. I'm back. I was typing out a question when I had to go.
What was the CoD on the 360 Arcade, where the missions started you off in boot camp/training camp and then dropping you off somewhere in a Blackhawk helicopter? Online/Multiplayer on that, was the one I recall playing the most.
I think it was CoD 4?
All I ever did was run around with a shotgun and knife people lol.
It was fun ticking people off with insta-kills.
Heh, I had Brawl for the Wii years ago, my brother and I would just screw around, not actually fighting
The campaign?
Uh... it was a military base type thing, and there was an indoor shooting range.
yeah that was Cod4
@limber harness hey i was wondering. Im getting really frustrated trying to put stairs on the roof of a house i am building... could i have access to /fly? or maybe just somebody who comes on and enables fly mode for me for a bit? I would really appreciate it
@daring badge I can place them for you.
they are really freaking specific to match up... but u can try
Heh, look at us, a bunch of kids reminiscing
Well, technically only I would be a kid at the point we're talking about...
you're still a kid shut your face
legally in the US you'd be a minor
Though I'm not the youngest 😏
well that certainly sounds creepy

Mawaru
Anger all you want, but I just diffused the situation with a peach
holy crap did you just say Penguindrum? one of my favorite series?
if you're only that far in and like it you're gonna love the rest
Sleep well.
Sorry, was editing a file, I have like absolutely minimal, high level knowledge of CoD. Specifics are beyond me
bang bang shooty shooty ad nauseum
@light cairn could you make a !dynmap command to spurt out the dymap link?
it might be usefull
nope, i got no control over the bots 😛
also an !nmsmcip
it's in the pins anyways
ok
Speaking of Minecraft, I'll probably jump back in once we've settled the current poll decision
Damn, the conversation earlier sent a ton of memories flooding back. I wish I remembered more of my childhood
Speaking of the poll... reminder to vote: https://www.atlasdivision.net/t/minecraft-server/168/10

Creeper explosions again?
oh god it's 50/50
Note on casual survival: either way we're gonna crack down on op items and similar. It's just a question of "how much"
i feel like it shouldn't say "no changes" then
I would vote, but I don't intend to come back. Voting would be changing things for something that I'm not a part of
E.g. serious survival is "absolutely no use of staff powers outside of staff problem resolution" vs casual survival is "stay on our current path of definition"
Kinda sad that you're leaving Woop
I loved searching down your little nomadic homes
I also harvested your crops last time for you
(current path is "eh, you can use creative and such if you're staff as it's technically your right, but don't make the game worse for others/make measurable impacts on the survival aspect of the server as a result")
Plus aren't we supporting X-ray in a sense? The gm3 sign at spawn I mean
We are.
And my god is that feature bugged right now, because people keep trying to find ways to abuse it.
Haha
(which honestly saddens me, because it was meant as an easy way to explore builds, take screenshots, etc. But some people just have to exploit it and ruin it for the rest of us)
😮 What are you up to now Woop?
Bouncing through Nier: Automata, think I saw from earlier?
Hrrm. Anyone know if there's a GOG site to check the records of different filename releases?
Um, the only GoG related site I'm aware of (other than GoG itself) is a site used for cataloging the releases of free games on GoG.
They list the versions on those released games.
What game is it?
It wouldn't work for this, unfortunately
I'm trying to find a listing of the different update filenames for NMS to verify what version of the game this installer is for
The file metadata suggests right before 1.24 but that is just too weird to me
Size: 2.5 GB
No Man’s Sky (GOG)
Size: 2.49 GB
No Man’s Sky Update 2 (2.2.0.4) (GOG)
Size: 2.54 GB
No Mans Sky Update 3 (2.3.0.5) (GOG)
Size: 2.50 GB
No Mans Sky Update 4 (2.4.0.6) (GOG)
Size: 2.56 GB
No Mans Sky Foundation (GOG)
Size: 2.58 GB
No Mans Sky Update 4 (2.8.0.10) (GOG)
Size: 5.77 GB
No Man’s Sky (Atlas Rises) (GOG)
Does that help?
GoG released it for free in 2016, so they start it off from that time.
Hmm, afraid not. Appreciate it tho

holy shit
thats awesome
I WANT IT XD
thats gunna be amazingly powerfull
like really powerful
if they can get that mobile
I linked the creator's twitter.
Puts me in the mind of MagicLeap
dear god..
It's written in the stars.
Dare I ask why or how
..is that the survival world?
ah so that was what you were working on
Took a screenie
I stalked you using dynmap
Then undid it.
Note that if anyone complains about that, my only response will be this: Why do you care?! It isn't hurting anyone, it's just a joke. This isn't some travesty of a build that screams admin abuse, because it's not abuse by our current definition
Even if you didn't undo it, it's still not abuse or anything.
o.o
well done
Yes, I saw that.
maybe kaz does
I have no idea about the client side.
Though iirc aren't the JSON models a Bedrock feature, not a Java one?
It's Java too.
You have to make them yourself, is the thing.
\assets\minecraft\models\block
That's where they go.
@daring badge
Ah
i have stuff for cows
Those aren't changable in Java, are they?
Yea pretty sure you can change all mob skins
"texturewidth": x,
"textrueheight": y,
"bones": [
{
"name": "body part name",
"pivot": [ x, y, z ],
"cubes": [
{
"origin": [ x, y, z ],
"size": [ x, y, z ],
"uv": [ x, y ]
}
]
}
]
}
i just need to know where that file is for cows
then i can make a ferret!!
\minecraft\textures\entity\cow ?
all the mob models are found in <resource pack/assets>/models/mobs.json
Even if you add a ferret entity, you won't be able to use it
oh
You still need to define the entity type, the AI, the skin, plus then you have a lot of multiplayer annoyances.
... oh.
Okay that is a lot easier.
There is no folder, they're all in /models/mobs.json
Word of caution - you may start getting weird hitbox errors on servers, as the models aren't synchronized.

I mean I assume you're reading this, since you got your code snippet off it https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Tutorials/Changing_Minecraft_entity_models
The existence of that file is bedrock only, it seems. You'll have to create it yourself, in Java.
Yup
hmm
well.. i cant even find it
but Optifine does allow custom entity models
there is no documentation anywhere
yeah but not everyone on the server has optifine
i guess the models are HARD CODED
sigh
well yeah
@daring badge On the topic of OptiFine custom entity tutorials: https://i.imgur.com/LBPPdVQ.png
yeah
the CEM documents are pretty thoroughly self-documenting in themselves TBH
nope
you've tinkered with custom block models before, you should have an easier time figuring things out.
Yes, that was a reply to the thread asking for entity models.
".If you've tinkered with custom block models before, you should have an easier time figuring things out."
You left out the "If"
@daring badge
yeah
Clearly, they aren't talking about making block models.

Please stop skimming, and read...
im in way over my head in this stuff .... 😦
sigh OfficialNMSdiscordMinecraftServerLand maybe not get ferrets 😭
Not milkable, but you could retexture ocelots
oh true
(are we sure this isn't really becoming the Official NMSMCFerret server?)
i guess i have to do that... i wanted it to be milkable tho sigh
JUST PRETEND MAGGOTS
I mean, we don't really have the equipment to milk ferrets anyway
(I'm also not adding server side resource packs)
😦
what if you just retexture the cows to be giant ferrets
ok sally 😏
I used Skript once
I've done some coding for a few years
huh thats cool https://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/transmobifier-v1-0-50-custom-mob-skins-custom-mobs-using-nametags/
Welcome to the Transmobifier A resource pack for Minecraft Java Edition that allows you to customize the mobs in your world using nametags. This pack currently has 67 custom mob textures. All mob changes only appear for those using the resource p...
Not the best though lol
Skript is really nice for beginners or quick patch-ups though.
ATOM
Why do we want custom plugins?
exactly, skript has the versatility to execute simple tasks or automate them without much effort
understandable
Why not 🤔
Besides a laundry list of performance and potential security issues, it's completely unnecessary as I can just write plugins directly.
Have had Skript as a major contributor to custom content for years now and we're still at a steady 19.8 tps lol
Yes, well... we currently don't have access to a dedicated cpu. We share cores with others.
So that makes a difference.
Ah, okay. Gotcha.
Also I just really dislike these scripting engines in general
They're a lazy solution. If you want to code, write a damn plugin.
I thought personal bias at first.
Only benefit of Skript over ordinary plugin development is ease of access imo
CraftBook's custom recipe support is sorta jimmy-riggy like Skript.
Instead of shutting down the server for small code changes, you can reload the file ingame for instant results. Besides that, I would also vouch the ordinary plugin development route.
Uh.
Java really isn't too difficult to learn
What? You can push live code changes to Java.
^
?????
mind blown?
very
My old network did that literally all the time.
Many plugins have a dedicated /<name> reload command.
I don't recommend ingame reloads
Yeah no it's definitely a thing. Worked very well too
I'll be damned
Dedicated plugin reloads, are different than the bukkit/spigot /reload command.
The more you know I guess lol
Only time we'd have to actually restart the host machines was to either update the reloader, or if the update contained some real abuse of Java (like reflection)
Though those were actually kinda common, so we just did something I call a transparent rolling restart.
Ohh, I see now. You mean a live hotfix for the .jar itself; not a config reload. That's actually awesome.
^^
That is, between matches, send users to a different server, remove the server from the pool, restart it, add it back.
Fully transparent to the user.
👀
So it wasn't technically a "live" code update?
Shit
I can attest to Java being editable and reloaded live. RuneScape's game engine is 100% java, and they have done many hotfixes without a reboot.
But if changes touched the users/db structure/anything actually in use, things could get weird.
So to be on the safe side we usually did a transparent rolling. A sudden disconnect is bad UX.
Did you disable and re-enable the plugin, Kaz? Or was it a custom method of updating the code to the server and allowing it to recognize those changes?
Custom method. We effectively livepatched the code.
One of our devs called it "swapping a book when nobody is looking"
neat!
The tldr to how it worked was some very creative abuse of debuggers.
Other than that... partly trade secret, partly some third party software, partly some magic I can't really explain in Discord. (Our own internal docs for this was 17 pages long)
gross
👁
im all alone guys
on the server?
yeah
maybe it could help all of the downtime discord has been having lately
lemme finish this mission
And quav, RuneScape is probably doing rolling restarts on their servers.
So they do reboot but it's just transparent to the end user.
is a rolling reboot like only restarting certain aspects at a time instead of everything at once?
Tldr infrastructure is really fun.
kaz ur smart
o.o
And if you get dev and ops working on the same page, your servers will sing
I sincerly apologize for offending backend development
answer me
XD
See: project rain. It was our load balancer for a while (and was reponsible for a lot). Supported up to (2^63)-1 concurrent users in theory.

yep
That was my initial thoughts
Well I am still applying to discord backend
Kaz, does that image accurately depict Backend vs Frontend development?
im more into music ...
I thought so
Er... you can't really depict that.
that whatever is happening here
Backend and frontend are two sides of the same program.
The horrors and complexity of backend, vs the simple, clean interfaces of frontend.
with a one way hole
Er... it can be either way.
lol quav haven't you asked that before?
XD
I think so, but I never got a reply.
I've seen absolutely beautiful backends but the frontends are an absolute mess.
like minecraft
wot
Ive seen atrocious backends with some of the best frontends ever.
the unreadable complexity and single-usage only selfish code.
usually that's my issue
wait nvm
IIRC minecraft is mediocre on both ends, lol
every setup is heavily dependent on the organization and coordination of those developing things, lol
generally though (in my experience) backend code is cleaner because it's focused for performance, and written by developers for developers. The frontend tends to be messes of kludge and spaghetti code to make it look "pretty" or to provide arbitrary/stupid design requirements given to them by the product team (as sold by the sales team)
the nerdiest thing ive done, is write a python scrpt to scrape articles of a newspaper and orginize it in a mongoDB
the 65daysofstatic album ended... RESTARTING
FROM THE TOP
Well, I guess the image depicts RuneScape well enough. The backend is engine, whereas the frontend is the content developers. The devs are always complaining about how difficult and annoying digging through the engine code is. Sometimes they specifically deny suggestions, with "Nope, that would require engine work." and leave it at that. It's a horrible, spaghetti filled atrocity.
I've seen plenty of selfish code meant only to be used for developers themselves than other devs that might come along. Usually.
XD
im gunna write an Alexa skill that will tell me if school is canceled on any given day
that shouldnt be too hard
@limber harness, that explanation you gave is the exact opposite of RuneScape development.
just grab a specific banner from the school site
It really is all over the place.
What it is in one company does not mean its like that for the entire tech world
the best answer actually is "it all sucks"
Meh, although Kaz is technically experienced in backend development doesn't mean that he's not strictly unbiased
😏
XD

Off topic: TIL the subway restaurant up the street from me is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
🤔
who goes to a subway at midnight even
Idk lol
programmers
source: i have. multiple times.
This is awesome.
I've had a craving for subway at early morning hours before, but always assumed they were closed.
subway cravings... first i've ever heard of those tbh
I'm weird.
Herb and cheese bread, Spicy italian, add tuna, add swiss and provolone, add lots and lots of olives, 4 lines of mayo, 1 line of mustard.
That's what I get, every time.
@limber harness lol
I know a few people who would do this.
Mod Dolan, being one.
Mod Easty is the main engine dev.
He's done stuff like that, a lot.
The only correct formatting settings
sry guys about ferrets
@limber harness These are mine: https://i.imgur.com/ioZOSX8.png
utc, nice
alright well, gaming is fun, but producing is better 😃
ima head off of MC and open up ABLETON YESS
anyone here produce?
@limber harness, idk if you're interested in this, but I dug up one of the NXT dev blogs, from when theyt were still creating the C++ client: http://services.runescape.com/m=news/dev-blog--nxt---gielinor-in-a-new-light
Ableton wat
Oh, and they talk about Vulkan and DX12 here: http://services.runescape.com/m=news/dev-blog--nxt---future-updates
Ableton..
its the best
Oooh. I think I have heard of that now that I see the description
XD
im working on a cover for a NMS song
its a piano that really precessed
its cool
add some sub base and MM
AAAAAnywy
👀 quav did you make the giant purple “ferret” in the sky
XD
quaaaaaaaaaav
ugh, let’s hope my blast test base thingamajig is safe from the ferrets for now
I did try to delete the giant ferret text, but whale and kaz stopped me.
.>
So blame them.
<.<
kaz, be real here, you cut off their hands
wat
Yeah, I meant you said stuff that made me realise I didn't have to get rid of it lol.
I assumed it would have to be removed.
I don’t consider it abuse or anything either lol
Yay
it’s just a joke that isn’t hurting anyone
<.<
the only issue I could imagine people can have with it is the shadow it casts on the ground 🤔
Or taking aerial photos
I can //copy it, then remove it and repaste it in creative spawn.
hm, I do imagine taking photos from above would be a bit obstructed.
still, I would only see that as a minor inconvenience lol
The what
I’m probably going to install a texture pack and some shaders when I’m back home from school to see if I can make the game look way better.
let’s just hope my pc can handle it
^
Yeah I guessed that was the case
So, you have a GTX 760.
What processor?
The 760 can easily run SEUS in medium
Maybe some high stuff
i5 something
I forgot the actual designation and GHz lol
Okay, could you check when you have time?
it’s a good one from what I recall tho
yeah, once I’m back home from school I can do that
A gpu can only perform as well as a cpu lets it; if the cpu causes a bottleneck, then performance will be less than expected.
I know that an i7-7700k causes a small bottleneck with a GTX 1080 Ti.
I hit that in games a lot.
If I recall... it's a 9% bottleneck?
Found it.
8%
hm, I know I can run a texture and shaders modpack for kerbal space program at least.
It had 3 variants, 2K, 4K, and 8K. I can run the 4K alongside some other mods at 60 FPS, so there is that I guess
That ain't 9%
I just said 8%.

don’t mind cycka, he’s a bit of an edgy idiot.
nee jij
dutch argument incoming
jij stinkt naar vis. Owwww
@knotty osprey, the issue with Minecraft shaders, is horrible optimisation, and spaghetti.
hm
It eats up my 1080 Ti like candy.
oof
I like spaghetti
This is what I mean: https://i.imgur.com/w7ZOUcR.png
Oof
Sub-40fps and it won't even use my hardware to its full potential.
Default settings on SEUS Renewed v1, and maxed out settings in Minecraft.
Well, 16 render.
And now its at 60fps...
As I move around - even just a little - it dips below 40.
If I stand still, it's at 60.
Anyways, here's a nice screenie: https://i.imgur.com/AdndeMt.png
Back to no shaders.
Below 60fps is unplayable for me.
I wish it would stay at 60.
lol, I'm guessing that's horrible shader optimization on top of horrible Java optimization
Seus's going under a recode, if I'm correct?
Yup - to both of you.
I'm using the first released version of the WIP recode of SEUS.
Why can't you see trough my glass quav
It's supposed to be like an area where you can watch over the city
But you can't use that now
Yeah, SEUS is weird with glass.
Especially coloured glass.
It makes it act like stained glass windows, in a church.
Not see-through.
Isn't that an option in the settings?
Not an option in the settings, no. And yes, you're correct Whale.
@rain flicker https://i.imgur.com/UjRRsny.png
Almost like night vision
Makes small areas look larger.
<.<
.>
I don't like how claustrophobic default FOV is.
^^
Hmm. Higher fovs give me a headache tho

Konami code
Rando I pointed down. You could have said anything you wanted and I agreed with it
How could you let that chance slide by

yes
I would have done ^ as well
pizza in general is good
If I had the chance
heh
i dont know why pineapple pizza is such an argument on the internet tbh
its a matter of opinion
I just don't like pineapple at all - on anything. By itself it's gross, too.
again, opinion
lmao
Egg is egg xD
lmao yeah
It's true!
eggisegg
Eggcellent
Eggtastic
What have I done. o_o
I was scrolling through an imgur 'dump', and saw that image as Random was talking about Pineapple. So I shared it.
This was the dump: https://imgur.com/gallery/sLHtP
It's about... uh
25-30 images in.
uwu
Btw the first book I read was from my furnace. I thought that was why page 25 was burned

I'm sure there are a few thousands still scattered across the map
ye
why is the thumbnail of that vid suddenly broken 🤔
Still is the text for me
And apparently mine too, lol
🤔
Vid still plays fine tho so nbd
Oh, speaking of videos... I recorded one 2 hours ago.
Just, randomly running around with SEUS Renewed v1.
No real point.
im bored so imma watch that
Why don't you play fullscreen
yoo that's what's up
@teal trench thanks for sharing your video. Let me have a look around since I don't have the java edition! Now I want it more lol
Yup, you're welcome. Hopefully you get a copy. =)
@tough heron I don't recall which house is yours, but it should be in the video if it was at spawn.
the hobbit hole
i'll take a look at the video then
I didn't realise you were doing a full tour!
Holy crap.
87GB?!
There's no way that's just the game.
Skyrim wasn't that big.
And this is a bloody MMO, not a single player game.
lol
What on earth is taking up 87GB in ESO?
Assets probably
I mean...It's supposed to feature multiple parts of Tamriel, I believe?
Not just a single province or whatever
It's still an MMO, and from when I last played the closed betas in 2013/2014, the graphics were disgusting.
Jpeggy and blobular.
It was like 9GB, then.
🤷 I guess they've improved & added a ton?
o_o
From what I've heard of others talking about it, they've been continuing to develop it a lot
I only have a 256GB SSD, and I kinda don't want this taking up like 50% of the entire space left.
87GB for an MMO is still ridiculous.
^ Thank you.
That's not normal for an MMO
Hmm, yeah, guess not, GW2 was just 20GB back when I last played it
But that's without expansions or anything, so dunno how much space those took
Well, Skyrim was ~15GB.
That was the remastered one.
To my knowledge, the Skyrim Remastered graphics are far superior to ESO.
Skyrim Remastered shoulda been bug fixes, lol
😮
SEUS renewed?
@cinder vessel And ESO - the base game client - is just one region. Not all of them. Morrowind, and other 'expansions' are entirely separate.
I have Textures and Shaders so it looks a little different
This looks cool. What is it?
I think it's a lighthouse?
Isn't the Base ESO just Cyrodil and some of Southern Skyrim?
And talking about TES makes me look forward to TESVI again
thats deluxers wip lighthouse
