I created those trees by hand - if you look, those are dark oak mimics. The version was 1.7.2, and whilst dark oaks did exist in 1.7, this server was one of the old 1.7 Spigot protocol hacks. Meaning, 1.7+ clients could connect, but the server was still running 1.6.4.
So we didn't have any 1.7+ features yet.
I used spruce logs, and regular oak leaves to make them.

@limber harness Okay, I think it's done now. I added some other common sense craftables, too. horse armours, chainmail, and I made it so buckets and minecarts can be melted back into iron ingots. It'll need to be tested, to make sure I got the formatting right. I'm not sure if the recipe shape requires 2 spaces if only 1 item is present.

Um, there was a brief period when I had a first generation 8GB iPod Touch. There is/was(?) an rpg fantasy game that was very reminisce of the old Zelda games on the NES. Totally new world, lore, etc., no relation to Zelda at all. It also had similar mechanics to early Final Fantasy games, with jobs that you could train, and you could hire mercenaries to tag along with you to help in battles. Idk the name of the game because it's been so many years (2008/2009 or so) but the game was $9 on the app store, and well worth every penny. It was a full game, and not just a time waster thing. No adds, no ingame purchases, etc.
That's the only mobile game I'll say that I liked.

Either way, it wasn't just one of those run of the mill cheaply made rpgs injected with cash shop rubbish, and no depth. Like I said, it was a full fledged game with a deep storyline and actual lore. It didn't end abruptly, and - to my knowledge - it didn't have a tangible "end". You could keep training your skills, and whatnot regardless of the story.
"Inotia 2: A Wanderer of Luone" fits the timeframe well enough. Released in 2009, and only on iOS. Seems the newer iterations have become cash shop clickbait games. So I'm sure the current opinion of the game "Inotia" as a whole is likely bad.

Well they each hold intricately crafted worlds that, while able to hold secrets, are also rapidly exhaustible from numerous players scouring them
So after that it's kinda just banking on PvP or replays with different builds

Yeah, i mean i personally love the communities that instantly find all the lore and stuff, its so great to see 30 minute videos just drawing connections and such. And I mean no one has to watch those videos so I don't see it being too big of a limiter on replayability but then again the nature of the internet might muck with those waters a bit

Well even then, I largely ignored them and played through Bloodborne as thoroughly as I felt like at the time (so ignored Chalice Dungeon bosses for the most part, went after the optional bosses, so on), but never felt into it enough to really do too much with the community side of things.
So that there's even much of a community still confuses me. I feel like it only really exists for those that want quick routes to optional stuff & PvP or whatever

I don't know if anyone has played or even heard of it, but there's a game called "The Ship: Murder Party" which is quite fun and is definitely worth a look

Erm... on an unrelated note, how's the Ryzen play games for you? I've heard a lot of mixed things. Like, I know the Ryzen chips are great for things that require more than four cores, but single core applications (like most games) still perform better on intel chips.
And yeah, my concern was more that the article implied pretty heavily that the devs weren't bothering to optimise their code.
I can play NMS just fine.

honestly the ryzen chip is a powerhouse, for games.. i guess maybe a couple might have some errors with it. but it is blazingly fast for the price
its the best OC chip ive had too and ive had alot of cpu's lol
the sandy bridge intel i7 i thought stayed cool, but you can strech ryzen chips with no worry at all

I build pcs as a hobby, and can say a similar thing - had a lot of cpus, and experimented with a lot of different builds. I was just curious for your opinion on Ryzen. Have you - personally - used a x700+ skylake or kabylake cpu model (like the i7-6700, or i7-7700k) before, or after using the Ryzen? Those are the ones AMD was aiming to compete with, so if you have experience with older/lower end chips, that would explain the bias lol.
The Ryzen cpus are without a doubt, far more powerful than something lower-end and older than a x700 kabylake/skylake i7 model.
I'll gladly admit that Ryzen excels in applications such as video editing, professional 3D rendering, etc., but for gaming, Intel still seems to have the upper hand, whilst also being cheaper than AMD these days. Idk what AMD was thinking, when they stuck those $400+ price tags on their Ryzen processors lol.

well.. the RX 580 8 gig pairs really well with even cheaper ryzen chips
though the ryzen chips are very touch and go with what memory you go with

Honestly, my only real qualm with AMD these days, is that they've been struggling to compete with Intel and Nvidia's high-end and enthusiast-end models. AMD has the midrange, and somewhat got into the lower-high end, but everything at the top tier (1080 Ti, Titan V, i7-7700k, i9-7900x, etc.) has nothing to compete with it. I really wish AMD would up their game, and fight for the top spot again. It's been way too many years, since they could claim to be up there.
That, and the fact that a lot of game developers tend to side with Nvidia, and snub AMD.
I'm glad that Intel is at least pairing up with AMD, to try and get better integrated graphics, though.
That's a step in the right direction.

There's supposedly this AMD application that runs in the background, for video recording/streaming. Like, "PlayTv" or something? That thing has caused uncountable crashes, and issues with games.
Try disabling that.

Nvidia's shadowplay has been having some weird issues these past few months (maybe the past year), where it won't enable via the hotkey sometimes, it records at a strangely stretched aspect ratio and squashes the recording, or sometimes it sticks the video in a corner, as if it's a 1080p window on a 4k monitor.
