I think its interesting that in say a game like Minecraft there is a pretty great drive to explore. Even though you know all the biomes, you know essentially what youll run into, but exploring the world youre in is still very fun.

While having a lot of variation is nice the exploration gameloop would still be boring. I would also hope they improve that

As much as I want and need variation and new biomes etc etc, I just have a hard time wrapping my head around how they could do that with current gen console hardware. The game already has a hard time chugging along with what it has. Unless they completely add an entire new engine or something, but wouldn't they reserve that for next gen consoles? My knowledge of hardware and software development is admittedly limited.

There isn't much to prove its how the math is done and how resources load in and out. Also how it scales LODS. Superformula was very very efficient at this that even a Pi could do it on a low end scale.
