make a medium refiner.

put chlorine & oxygen in. should yield a TON of chlorine.

repeat until you have a few stacks of it. sell it all & buy it back. hop systems & destroy the economies repeating the process lol

@frail gust put Steam in offline mode for the quest if you use Steam, then when you get to a time gate log out and set your console clock forward 24 or 48 hours. Then when you log back into the game it should put you past the time gate. Repeat as needed. ☺

on ps4, i just jumped in & out my ship to save.
made sure NMS had multiplayer setting turned off.
while the game is running, go into system clock settings & switch to manually adjust time, set time, skip 2 days forward. i didn’t change the hours or minutes.
hit the PS button twice to return to the game, should instantly progress you.

I love the cyclotron ballista. It is immensely deadly, and fully upgraded you can fire long bursts without overheating. I use it to obliterate walkers too.
