Portals

Asking someone to charge a portal for you will not work, you must charge it yourself
Asking someone to use a portal to visit a specific system so you can join them there, will also not work you'll be placed in the system the portal user left from

If you use a Portal to go to a system then you're unable to:

use/view the Galaxy Map (so no warping anywhere)
place a base computer
summon your Freighter
use a teleporter
and the station in the system visited will not be in your teleport list
