@heavy dagger To find portals, first, find a monolith. There are two ways to do that.

If you have an exocraft with upgraded scanners, you can scan for an Alien Structure.
If you don't have an exocraft, buy some planetary charts from the cartographer on a space station.
2a) Use an Ancient Artifacts map to find a monolith. It may take a few tries, as these maps find Monoliths, Plaques and Ruins.
Once you've found a monolith, SAVE FIRST, and then answer its question. Then, activate it again and feed it the relic belonging to the species of that system (Korvax Casing, Vy'Keen dagger, Gek Relic).
It will say something about Ley Lines, and will reveal the icon for the portal on that planet.

Yeah. Larval Core are from abandoned buildings. Viscous fluids can be gotten by refining goop. Bloody organs are a bait, made in the nutrient processor from meat (like feline livers) and mordite.

@cold folio The coordinates change every few seconds. Kinda take an average, or look around. It'll appear as an unknown building on your visor, but you're looking for an Ancient Plaque, the ones that look like monoliths, but are a bit smaller and don't have the 3 knowledge stones. It might take some running around, or exploring a bit in an exocraft.

yes it will trigger risen, and to get glyphs u can either finish the artemis questline (you're like 2/3rds done) or ask travellers where they came from to find graves

The coordinates change every few seconds. Kinda take an average, or look around. It'll appear as an unknown building on your visor, but you're looking for an Ancient Plaque, the ones that look like monoliths, but are a bit smaller and don't have the 3 knowledge stones. It might take some running around, or exploring a bit in an exocraft.

No, they aren't. The trigger for duping is to share something and then reload your save. So they dump things like ferrite dust.

@devout cloud The coordinates change every few seconds. Kinda take an average, or look around. It'll appear as an unknown building on your visor, but you're looking for an Ancient Plaque, the ones that look like monoliths, but are a bit smaller and don't have the 3 knowledge stones. It might take some running around, or exploring a bit in an exocraft.

Second Living Ship CTD Bug

As some of you may know, there is currently a bug where claiming a second living ship causes you to die upon entering any alien ship, if you summon your freighter, then your save becomes effectively "bricked". There is a way around this bug but it is PC ONLY

Download No Man's Sky Save Editor from https://github.com/goatfungus/NMSSaveEditor

Load up your save.hg (make sure it's your current save, not a backup)

Navigate over to your ships menu, find the second living ship, and click "delete ship"

Go back to your initial living ship and right-click "ALIEN_LAUNCHTRUSTER" technology, and select "Repair slot."

Save, and launch your game. This should fix the CTD, and allow you to fly your living ship again.

Until a proper fix is released for this patch, please refrain from claiming a second living ship!

Look for a planet that is an anomalous planet, the bubble or rattled or some such, not a regular planet. 'powerful anomalies, strange colors' is just one of those.

Though I did do two more graves than I should have because I made the mistake of keeping the soul thing in my ship instead of my exosuit, and so I ended up doing two graves extra with no result.

Additional Living Ships do not require to go through the whole growing stages again. It's way easy a next time/ Just have another egg and Pulse in space until you get a message with new location marked

There's a Khraze gaming recent video on it although my experience was a little different than his. I initially used a manual save before going back through the portal....after getting the souls. That worked but took a long time to go through each attempt.

In the Khraze video he puts the manual save beacon before entering your ship, after going through the portal

I tested entering my ship...going through the dialogue, giving away the egg...then I exited my ship creating an auto-save, before taking off.

Reloading that auto-save I still got different ships each time

(I just checked out the ships without landing/getting out, so I wouldn't overwrite my auto-save. But manual save would work too.)
