When you encounter the timer. You can set your PS4 manually ahead a day, to expedite the progression. Tested myself. Works like a charm. But make sure you have back up saves Incase something goes wrong.

this was honestly the best and worst mission I've ever done in this game

I did....found some derelict freighters.....I could blast some doors and see interactable containers but I couldn't interact with them because there was nowhere to land the ship....I was stuck just looking at them.
I tried blasting the containers and it didn't work.
