So, being able to land on the big asteroids and then hop out of the ship into zero gravity would be cool. Having to control yourself similarly to the way swimming controls work but floating around more freely.
You could also build base parts designed specifically for space and place them to float anywhere. They could create artificial gravity and oxygen inside of them.

Once you follow the filter to the last planet in the line, refuel completely- double check it is in fact the last planet. Keep the filter for the core on and chill there in the map for a minute (not really that long) it will kinda angle the camera towards the center, and then you follow the line and warp.

you lose access to any planet bases, and all your tech gets broken, but otherwise you dont lose anything

That's a common issue, I've found that it'll work after a few retries but it's not consistent

It's essentially the same as single player, but with another person there
Kinda weird story progression bugs, not sure if they're fixed though

Used to be, they added network permissions options to the start menu though
Can adjust a few different perms so people can't do that
Can also change if damage is allowed, or if people can see you, with different levels
Most options have the choices Anybody, Friends only, Nobody
