Welp, just looked at the new language files. Hello Games is keeping them much "cleaner" than before. That is to say, they don't seem to be putting in text for future features anymore. I'm only finding the things that are said to be included in the patch notes, nothing else. Nothing to datamine in the language files that can't be found in game.

My first theory is that these planets once had some civilization on them

which is the beginning for both theories really

#

but

in my first theory, those pods have surviving aliens inside them

#

and they were put in those pods to keep them safe from whatever disaster occured

#

and yes I have some proof

my second theory is that the pods were the people

and for whatever reason they just sorta "shut down"
