Yeah, so I think you start around 140k from the center. Black hole gives a little over 2000ly, I think 2200 or so ( a bit random, maybe 2000-2400). Used to be 400ly was max jump. So that's ~2500ly per jump so 56 jumps
Note that there was and AFAIK still is a 4x error in ship warp distance. You actually go 1/4th as far as it says

So I finished the Artemis quest and got all the glyphs, ended up at an Atlas interface where I had the opportunity to reset the simulation. Now I have a quest to builld a Remembrance but I don't know the recipes for all the Atlas Seeds. I figure I have to visit more Atlas stations but just can't find one.
I have a route to one that is some silly long distance, is there any way to tell which teleport destination will dump me close to it?
I have to say, navigation in this game is still sorely lacking.
Am I expected to keep a note of system names? Because that seems like it's the only realistic way of tracking where you're going with the teleporters in stations.

@hearty cairn well the way that usually plays out is you follow the atlas path usually while doing the Artemis questline only because atlas path is really just visiting stations and receiving the recipes for 10 or so recipes that lead up to a heart of the sun and eventually you make a remembrance out of it...if you are having trouble finding an atlas station even while having the atlas path selected you can talk to nada and polo and ask for a path to an atlas station even still depending on where you warped and if perhaps the atlas path was trying to lead you to a station early on and you ignored it that could cause some issues but usually it would just find you a new station.

what is the correct way to progress with the Purge quest chain when you start receiving the weird transmissions with the glyphs every few warps? the messages read "1/16", "2/16" and so on - is that a timer to the end of the universe and I'm supposed to reach the center before they reach 16, or are they just harmless messages giving me glyphs and it's safe to continue playing?

You don’t actually receive glyphs during that warp phase infact that was never a thing as far as I know you have to find glyphs on foot via the graves of travelers and that’s the only method

So I installed two of the ... Atlas seed technology things. The main mission with Artemis says to just enjoy the Galaxy. The atlas path I made a star. But now it's back to me finding the next atlas station or whatever and when I go it wants another one of the final seeds like to make another star. Is that normal? Like am I done? If you use the filter on the map for center, it should lead to a specific planet, from there you can warp, even though it’s out of range, as long as your drive is full

The pathing is not great, you could free camera there and try to follow it that way, but it will fade eventually until you make a jump closer

There is a catch to it though
You will need to go up to the station after you portal and exit your ship. Then fly back to the portal and go back. After that you can use that station to teleport back - otherwise you have portal interference and can’t warp
