Save transfer [Question]

So I've tried everything i can to cross save from ps4 to ps5, it won't let me as online it's connecting to the wrong psn account which is connected but when I click connect on both ps4 and 5 it says not connected, I ha e 227 hours on this world with multiple things from previous expeditions which I don't want to lose

This community makes my heart happy! [Discussion]

I went on a Nexus mission with someone else for the first time. I wanna give them a shout out but Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s allowed. But their gamertag was definitely a reference to the word ā€œfuckfaceā€ which I found hilarious. We shot some pirates, but then sentinels kept intercepting which I found very confusing. Eventually they left the system and so I did too. Back at the anomaly they gave me items worth 150 million units! Thank you!!! Iā€™m sorry I didnā€™t have anything good worth giving you, cause I am pretty broke. But your kindness was noticed!

And also, I was able to buy my first void egg! Right now Iā€™m currently, carefully raising its brain stem. Canā€™t wait to become a ship mommy!

Maybe some PVE? [Suggestion]

You answer a distress call. You find a sweet looking ship but, alas, the pilot is still walking around. Am I the only one wishing we had PVE in the game where you could still "legitimately salvage" the ship regardless of whether the pilot survived the crash?

Giant cables for base building [Question]

I'm trying to build a base on a floating island and I want to have it look like the island is being anchored by giant cables, the salvage roofs look great for the anchors themselves but I can't seem to find anything for making the cables other than maybe a giant chain of spark plugs

Does anyone have any recommendations for ways I could make the cables

Which ship should I choose? [Question]

I'm partial to Interceptors thanks to their ability to completely stop in mid-air but I'd rather have looks and performance than that. Anyone got any recommendations on what ship I could get that looks good? Of course, being an S-Class would be preferable but even if it isn't I want one that looks dope af. I think I saw a ship that was longer than it was wide and had lightning below it but I think that's a expedition ship. If you got suggestions then kindly please attach photos too and where to find them. I'm currently working on finding a monolith so that I can teleport(Why are they so annoying to locate šŸ˜­)

Day 1 player. After almost 9 years... I'm finally home. [Screenshot]

I know it sounds crazy, but I always said I'd know it when I landed. Trust me, I have two or three main bases on planets that are absolutely STUNNING, but this is the one. As soon as I landed a notification popped up saying New Record: Most Perfect, which is kinda insane after playing for 9 years. I thought... huh. I found that there's absolutely no storms, and i have yet to see a single Sentinel. Now, while it may not suit everyone, the rainy, overcast Swamp planet with massive trees, magical rainforest, giant mushrooms and the planets overseers (dragons) flying around... I said, oh yeas. Sorta reminds me of the Pacific Northwest (minus the dragons). Then it took a turn when I found the first Mud Hut. I said no way! out loud, haha.

Anyhow, I'd love to have some neighbors. After all, this is a game about exploring, and the thing that makes it rewarding is the fact that you can share with others. And, if you're brave enough to venture into the forests, you may find your own mud dwelling, where, like myself, you can finally enjoy your retirement and remember your journey while you're fishing on this incredible planet. Safe travels.

Soft Lock on ā€˜awakeningsā€™ quest? [Bug]

So I convinced my brother to finally play NMS with me and I recommended the first thing he should do is follow through the main story quest line. Heā€™s currently stuck, the mission is trying to send him to a blue star system and he doesnā€™t have an indium drive nor the ability to acquire one (pre anomaly) I really donā€™t want to have him just start over and do all of that over again because he seems to be enjoying it so far. I know if youā€™re far enough away you can reset the mission but that would require him to warp ridiculously far away which would take him a while becoming he only has a basic warp drive and no range upgrades. What do we do? I know you can find rouge black holes with anomaly locators and thatā€™s what weā€™re currently trying out but is there any other way to fix this without him having to start fresh? I feel kinda bad for convincing him just for it to give him this much trouble.

Several weeks and patches later, is there a way to get my base's original colors back without having to repaint the whole thing? [Question]

I backed up my DefaultUser directory before downloading the beacon update when it was released (and I still have the files), just in case. When I started the game after updating, not only did my base's colors change, as was the case for several other people, but the graphics looked blurry even on ultra, but that's a separate problem. So I decided to wait it out and keep updating.

Today I restored my backup and, just like when I started the game after updating, my base's colors changed and the graphics still look blurry. It''s a lot of parts that I don't want to have to repaint to their original colors, and this isn't something that I should have to do every time there's an update of this nature.

It's been several weeks and patches. Is there any way I can restore my base's original appearance without either repainting it or deleting and replacing parts?

Biome Idea: A Shattered World that's actually shattered. [Suggestion]

Playing Mass Effect Andromeda (I know, I know but I like it, sue me.) there's a shattered planet called H-047c that is actually shattered. As in it's in pieces and it looks really cool both from space and driving around on it. Especially with low gravity. I would love to see something like this in No Man's Sky and to of course build a base there to serve as a research center. After all who wouldn't want to research a destroyed planet?

The 'late game' transition... [Discussion]

So last week, I popped a post on here saying essentially "hey ā€“ great idea ā€“ what if they got rid of duping and made us stick to a solid game economy?" And rightly, in hindsight, everyone politely asked me if I was high.

I think my issue was: what to do in the game once you've got billions in the bank and there's nothing left to spend it on?

.....And then I tried duping for myself (cos perhaps there's something to it after all?), and suddenly the late game has opened up in a whole new way, and I finally understand...

I'd already started a couple of new playthroughs, just to try different play styles and to feel the early-on challenge once again, but by going down the path of what I'd considered "cheating", I found I tapped into the true sandbox nature of the game... Now, I can build any ship I want, and dupe hundreds of parts and expansion slots, and happily mess about with experimentation ā€“ don't like the colour of the ship once it's there in front of me? Bin it and start over! Same with multitools, base-building (I turned off costs for the first time), freighter hunting ... all sorts.

It feels like a reward after all the hundreds of hours of grind to get to the late game, and it's actually refreshed the experience for me and given me something new to carry me through the next few hundred hours of my main save.

So yeah... I'm a convert, and I retract my previous skepticism.

Loving the zen of NMS [Discussion]

New player here, about five hours in. I just love the zen feeling when playing this game. It also intersperses lots of unique moments, like going through the atmosphere of a planet, drifting around a space station exterior or reaching the apex of a mountain and surveying the planet. I just had my first dog fight with pirates and afterword just stopped and noticed the quiet beauty of space. Some ambient music kicked in. The design is incredible. This is a very special game.

ExoCraft Technician Bugged? [Bug]

Current objective is return the the exocraft technician.
'The technician awaits at their terminal'
I don't have the blueprint I deleted in the Freighter.
I assumed I'd be able to rebuild it but no, the icon for his location is now stuck here, had to build a external door to see it. When I move between the main Frigate deck and the loading dock the icon moves.
I'm sure it's bugged. I can't find any blueprint on the Anomaly or in any build menu for the Exocraft Technician.
Please help.

Exploring Odyalutai Galaxy ā€“ thinking of starting a Substack, would this interest anyone? [Question]

Hey fellow travelers,

Iā€™ve been deep-diving into a region Odyalutai galaxy (the final frontier I guess) and Iā€™m documenting it like a proper long-range exploration mission ā€” system surveys, cave mapping, flora/fauna analysis, even speculative cartography. Itā€™s a bit of roleplay, a bit of science fiction journaling.

Iā€™m considering creating a small Substack or similar archive to organize and share the expedition logs, annotated discoveries, photos, and maybe even some fiction fragments inspired by the more unusual planets.

Would anyone be interested in following this kind of project? Not looking to ā€œgo big,ā€ just wondering if this sort of narrative-exploration content has a place in the NMS community.

Multiplayer not working [Bug]

My son and I were playing together last night in a group when we realized we could no longer see each other in game. I restarted my game and I no longer have the option to host a game. I've reset my Xbox and router and also uninstalled/reinstalled the game. Nothing has worked. Does anyone have a solution for this?

I'm sure there have been posts like this before, but apparently a long time ago, I couldn't find them unfortunately, but maybe it's a good thing I created my own to bring this up and discuss it.

I generally enjoy playing NMS, but for me the game has proven to be extremely finite, my character is loaded with modules to the fullest, several ships, ughhhh, I spent a lot of time while knocking out the best rolls on them on illegal modules.The plot is passed several times, pumped settlement, for all the resources in the game is worth 3 rigs on the S class fields, their inflow per hour is very large, in the game so many resources to spend nowhere.And of course, the base, I can not say that I am a particularly creative person in this regard, but I am satisfied with the result in the form of a base in low orbit, 70% I looked up from others, 30% I built myself, and of course, the base on the dreadnought, built for maximum efficiency.

With all this I want to say that for me I consider myself to have passed the game.

I would like to discuss the possibility of adding automated factories to the game, similar to Satisfactory, Factorio. I really love these games and have spent more time creating factories in them than in NMS. I think NMS could be a great game to create factories in. Lots of planets, different conditions and resources everywhere - there could be different factories for each, with different resources, and of course customizing logistics between planets.

Map doesn't work in other systems [Bug]

In my home system, the system / planet maps work fine, but whenever i travel to a different system, the planets all appear as if i haven't been there (even if i have), and while on the planets, the planetary map and details do not appear. When i scan the planet from space using the ship's scanner the details do appear.

Why is this happening, and how do i fix it?

Underwater "settlement" with abandoned ship [Screenshot]

I found myself a water planet with huge ocean, built a base there and finally built myself a Nautilon, thought I'd like to explore underwater for a while. And to my surprise I found an underwater settlement! Went to check it out - and there was a broken ship I could claim and a capsule with Emeril drive tech! Wow! "settlement" is a strong word thought, it's a ship wreck, a capsule and that underwater thing for emergency cases to hide in, that's it. But underwater exploration rocks! )))

Ack! Multitool vanished from sentinel pillar? [Question]

I have been on the lookout for royal multitools for a long time now, checking every sentinel pillar I run across or trigger after fighting. I was on a planet with aggressive sentinels, fought the 4 waves and went to the sentinel nest when it appeared. Low and behold, instead of the usual junk I typically see, there was an S class royal weapon! So, I plopped down a save point, and did the thing where you go to different planets in the system, save and reload, then go back to see the different color options available. I was doing the next to last planet, had gone back to the save point at the pillar to check the weapon, when suddenly my game crapped out and crashed! Happens. So I restart and am right back at the pillar, only now the weapon is gone! The option to extract weapon technology is simply not there anymore. I can only shut down sentinel forces or log off. I did not take the weapon at any point, and it is not in my multitool list. I can't get the weapon option to come back. I tried reloading, shutting down game and restarting, travelling to other planets to save and reload, warp to new system then back, warping to about 7 new systems in a row reloading at each, throwing myself into a black hole, etc. Went back to check, the weapon option is still missing. I checked sentinel pillars on the other planets, but they have the usual crap, no royals. I tried getting another sentinel pillar on that same planet, but that appears to be the only one on it. What happened? Could this come back, or am I SOL? I am playing the game on PS4, multiplayer turned off since I don't have PS+ for online play.

Needless to say, I'm really bummed out. I finally find an S class royal and then sad fart noise Gah!

FINALLY found one! [Screenshot]

After exploring this reliquary planet for HOURS via nomad, and picking up probably 25,000 nanites in memory stones along the way, I found one!

I was taking a break from using the nomad and was flying low and slow using my sentinel. I switched over to picture mode to do some scouting around, and there he was!

Finally... now to set another goal... kkzztt...

Gas town (Eissentam) [Screenshot]

Built in the heart of a gas giant, hidden from the galaxy offering sanctuary to those not wishing to be found. Upon approach thereā€™s not much to see, with a landing pad built below the ground a traveler steps out to find the entrance to a city built within huge caverns. Every amenity you need. From vendor shops, to scrapyard recycling, greenhouse and Spa. Gas town will offer, food, shelter, entertainment and more. The build still has some fine details yet to add until I hit the 3 k limit. I hope you all get a chance to visit

Since we can blast these tunes at our Settlements, Bases and at our leisure from the quick menu - I'd love to be able to blast whatever awesome song from the soundtrack when I please.

Scrap Dealer should offer Ship Parts [Suggestion]

The scrap dealer who trades goods for Tainted Metal...

He has a prominent position in all stations, yet he has sold such a small selection of things over the years.

I think each space stations scrap dealer should offer a few different space ship parts.

This would make people want to play through the abandoned freighers to get materials to get new parts for the ship - would make travelling and exploring fun and help the gameplay loops!!

Settlement layouts grind my gears [Screenshot]

The update yesterday spun my entire settlement around. It was decently spaced out before, markets spread out around the pillar and not pushed all in one corner, water tower sort of in the middle, launch pad was directly behind overseers office and enough space by the pillar to make a tower for my build. Now Iā€™m debating on leaving and rolling the dice on the next settlement placement preset. I donā€™t understand HG need to make this a random thing, weā€™re called overseers so why do I feel like a regular citizen paying for the construction of a settlement I have no say in how it turns out or what it has.

What do you like to do in NMS? [Question]

Since this game is more of a sandbox game than than anything, I'm curious how everyone likes to spend their time in the game? I am only about 80 hours in and am completely obsessed with finding crashed ships and collecting all the ship parts to make my own! I haven't made it far in the main quest at all, I love how this game doesn't push you in any specific direction. What do you enjoy doing the most in NMS?

Settlement questions [Question]

I logged on and went to my current settlement to explore the changes. The most obvious thing was the letters to point out my building level.

First is, I was wondering how many base computers I need to make to start building around my settlement? Some places say 4, others say 3, one person said they build outside the base and then move it inside to the center, but it doesn't seem to change where the center is.

With regards to the update, will I be able to expand outside my settlement or is the size the same still?

The doubt I have with the update, I was expecting I could talk to my settlers but either some seem to be a pilot of my fleet, and some are just some info of my settlers. Which is fine I would just like to have the option to chat with them. I was also expecting to have more choices to make in my settlement and not have it be one option an hour. Will any of this change as my settlement gets bigger?

Void staff [Question]

Hello Games, Planets and Š”oncerns [Discussion]

Recently, I came across this post and was unpleasantly surprised by comments like "I'm only interested in planets with green grass and blue skies," "I don't like uneven terrain," "I don't like red water," "I don't like red or blue grass," and so on.

I understand that everyone has their own preferences when it comes to biomes, planet types, vegetation colors, skies, and so forth ā€” I certainly do as well. But isnā€™t one of the core pillars of No Manā€™s Sky the diversity and exploration? Whatā€™s the point of all paradise planets if every time itā€™s just a world with ā€œgreen grass, blue sky, and waterā€?

I really hope Hello Games doesnā€™t sacrifice variety in the name of "uniformity" or "Earth-likeness" ā€” weā€™d just end up losing all the magic. Iā€™m genuinely concerned about this, especially since itā€™s clear that HG keeps an eye on Reddit and sometimes adjusts the game based on user feedback from here.

Worlds 1 and 2 have taken color variety, terrain, and water to a whole new level, and Iā€™ve never enjoyed this game as much as I do now (if you havenā€™t visited purple systems yet, do it as soon as you can). I'm convinced we should keep pushing in this direction ā€” expanding variety, even if some of the options donā€™t personally appeal to me (because thousands of other players will love them).

I want to once again thank Hello Games for all the work they've done and wish them ā€” and our beloved game ā€” continued success and growth.

Space combat [Discussion]

How would you improve space combat in the game? Right now it's basically just holding 'S' and clicking without even aiming. My favorite thing to do is finding new ships, fixing them up, upgrading them, and flying them around. But it feels like one the main point of the game should be the space battles, and right now they just feel kind of empty.

How can i get to the Odyalutai galaxy? [Question]

I've read and found that if you haven't already been there before the Atlas Rises update you can't get there by conventional means. I've looked into the so called taxi services but all of them are on either PC, or PSN. While I'm on Xbox. I think it would be very interesting to at least have access to the galaxy but have yet to find any way to get there so any information would be nice. Thank you for you time.

Ok I need help, seriously. I'm kinda new to the game, have dedicated a few days and so, still exploring my spawn planet, but I can't find the last flora. I've been everywhere and I keep seeing the same damn plants. I know sometimes they are similar but different in size but I haven't been able to find the last one, is this a bug? Just got the game, spending so much time mucking around looking at fauna and flora I haven't even gone to the first space station. Found three sentinels, tried to figure out what their deal was, and FOUND OUT REAL QUICK. Led them on a chase to another planet before hiding in my shack that's immune to acid raid. A game hasn't hooked me so quickly in a LONG time. I know to turn off pvp before going anywhere multiplayer based and to not rush stuff but any other tips n tricks? Also, weird question, but is there a database for paradise planets? I love losing my entire inventory [Discussion]

Picked up the game for Switch 2, properly hooked.

Lovely game but so pissed about not having received any tutorial info on dying/gravestones before ending up in a super hard (for a new player without a bunch of combat upgrades) combat scenario defending a settlement. Died very fast twice in a row and noticed everything is gone, no way to reload.

This is obviously just a noob rant but maybe youā€™ll get nostalgic over my rage and despair or something lol, F****NG SUPER KEEN to spend hours mining/harvesting/buying all that stuff again šŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒšŸ™ƒ

Are my S-class freighters just poisoned? [Question]

I'm having a problem with my two "best" S-class freighters. They were both lucky pickups; I happened across them amongst a bunch of C-class support ships and immediately hired them. Unfortunately, at first I didn't read up on how best to outfit a fleet mission, so I did send them out on several missions where their star rating did not equal or exceed the mission, which ended badly.

Did some googling, and reading, and I feel like I'm doing a better job now. I always send other ships with them for balance, I make sure the mission is appropriate to their role, and I always make sure the total rating exceeds the mission rating by at least one star. Neither of them have any red marks in their profiles.

They ALWAYS come back damaged, and usually it's just these two. These two S-class ships have been damaged more times than any of my A, B, or C ships. Does the number of times a ship has been damaged count against them in future missions or something? Do I need to wash my hands of these two ne'er-do-wells and start over? This is getting frustrating.

I apparently completed all of the primary missions (I'm assuming) however I did not reset the system as the Atlas asked, because I saw in some other post that we don't have to reset if we don't want to, so I didn't.

Under a Red Star - Stuck(?) [Question]

I'm playing through again, and I've gotten to the bit in Under a Red Star, where I need to use a forged passport to restore my reputation.

Fine, fine - I've done this before in a previous game, and so here I go, restoring my reputation. But then... the quest simply doesn't advance.

I close out, reboot the game, and still, no advance. So I go back to the pirate system, do a quest to get a new forged passport, then head back to restore my reputation again, yes, yes - all goes well... except the quest doesn't advance.

I'm not sure what to do from here. This problem survives shutting down and restarting. Do any of you have other suggestions?

On discovery names resetting after a while [Question]

Can anybody confirm if this issue has been fixed with in the past six months? For a lot of people, naming discoveries is a large part of the game, including me, so when I noticed that my discovery names were reverting after I had set names names for my planets, fauna, flora, etc... I pretty much dumped the game for a while, which is sad because this is an otherwise amazing title.

I know that there was a patch addressing this one year ago from what I read on Reddit, but this same bug has been occuring on my online discovery services since 6 months ago. If there's really no fix or assurance that this cant be alleviated, I would be so grateful if you guys could point out ways to avoid this? I'd love to be able to enjoy this wonderful game fully.

I was just thinking it might be a fun experiment with inviting people to settle on a single, shared planet, building bases close to one another to form a functional, player-made town or city. Each player could construct a unique base in a designated plot, with paths or roads connecting all the residences. The community could come together to create shared infrastructure, such as a central hub with teleporters, message boards, and a meeting space for hangouts or announcements. Around this core, players could build residential zones with individually styled bases, encouraging architectural creativity and personality while maintaining visual cohesion through shared themes or road layouts. Underground Creatures absolutely NEED to be reworked. [Discussion]

It should not be this bad. It should not be this difficult. It should NOT take several REAL LIFE HOURS to find ONE (1) single underground creature.

I have spent probably a collective day's worth of time, if not even longer, searching for underground creatures. I can smash out every other creature on the entire roster if I get lucky, probably within minutes of landing on the planet. And then I sigh in dismay, seeing even just one underground creature on the list.

Either you get incredibly lucky and it spawns in randomly above ground for no fucking reason, or you're like me, and somehow cannot for the life of you find it even in prime underground cave real estate, after searching for literal HOURS straight.

HelloGames, you really need to fucking rework this shit. Make it so when you enter an underground cave network, the underground creatures spawn, period. Rarity should work as normal, I should not have to spend thirty minutes to an hour trying to look for a COMMON underground creature in the most perfect, spacious, deep underground caves you could possibly imagine.

And atleast give underground creatures an extra bonus in Nanites for when you fully scan the fauna of a world, make it atleast worth it.

The current state of looking for these things is an actual fucking joke, it makes the game incredibly not fun for those like me trying to farm Nanites quickly, who also love exploring and 100%'ing things. Apart from finding cool planets and creatures, it's the only reason I try 100%'ing the planet's fauna, to get tons of Nanites.

I know absolutely nobody fucking cares, I know HelloGames will never see this, nor do they ever see 99% of game complaints, aside from literally the very complaints that sent this game down the path it's taken today.

It should take 20 ~ 30 minutes, MAXIMUM, to 100% the fauna of a planet, not two to three hours...

Pretty busted oxygen farm on gas giant with salt (sry for the quality) [Information]

Made this S-class oxygen farm on a gas giant with so many salt rocks around (the blue crystal you see is salt), so essentially the best way to farm chlorine as well, so you can make a buttload of units.

Is there a way to build my settlement on the planet of my choosing? [Question]

So, basically, I've spent the whole night looking for an ideal planet to build my autophage settlement on, but the game would not let me. Every time I try to search for a settlement it gives me a signal interference message. After a few taps, it showed me a settlement somewhere off planet, and now when I try to reload, my settlement chart disappears, but no settlement is being shown. So is that a bug or a really dumb feature? And in either case - is there a way to circumvent it?

Does the mode in which you start a save determine the experience of the game, regardless of how you might otherwise change settings later? [Question]

If you start a game on survival, for example, where resources are sparse and technology is not abundant, etc. Even if you update these settings later, does the fact that you began the game in survival nevertheless still suppress the full extent to which resources become available if you change that setting back to being abundant instead of sparse?

I feel like this is the case for new saves Iā€™ve created in Survival mode- resources still seem to be much rarer even if I update the settings later as compared to when I begin a new save mode in creative or normal, etc. Iā€™ve got thousands of hours in, but just wondering in anyone else has noticed this also, or perhaps itā€™s just the luck of the draw?

Hello interlopers!
Well I got to a point in the game where it's got very annoying and monotone.
I did the atlas missions to the point after I create a new galaxy. Then I had to create a heart of the sun, but to use it I needed 2. So I left the atlas interface and gathered the mats to create the second one. To my surprise, then I realized the first heart was gone!! I thought maybe it was left at that particular atlas interface so I went back, but the atlas interface changed and it only asks for wonders and more wonders... is there a finish to that?
So then I started the black hole missions, and realized the wormholes don't get me any closer to the core, after many wormholes I actually landed on the other side of the galaxy, at the very edge! So I had to teleport back to my starting point where I was much closer! And then I tried just jumping towards the center but it seems to take forever
Any recommendations?

Reached the Anomaly last night. Questions.... [Question]

I reached the Anomaly last night for the first time and really enjoyed looking around and seeing other players for the first time.

I saw several players sitting down in front of The Nexus and just hanging out. I did the same while running out for a snack and bathroom break. Is there a reason for sitting down and hanging out there I don't know about? I waved to few players but everyone seemed to be doing their own thing.

Also, can players give you things when you are there?

Living Ship Trading [Question]

So I have a second living ship I just obtained (first image is it flying, second is it parked on the right with my other ship), and I want to give it to a friend of mine whoā€™s new to the game.

I know the only two ways to ā€œtradeā€ with friends is to either sell the ship to an NPC and have the friend buy it back immediately after.

OR

Abandon the ship by claiming a 7th one, and having the friend grab that ship immediately after.

I know that stats and slots get rerolled on both of those methods, but considering living ships, will it ever bring the class down? Itā€™s an S-Class, and I donā€™t have any upgrades.

Switch 2 cross save still broken despite today's patch. [Bug]

Some background....

I have NMS on the PS5 and bought the Switch 2 version to be able to have a cross save 'on the go' version.

Since I've bought it I've only been able to use it on Switch 2 a couple of times due to the Switch 2 version constantly lagging behind the PS5, making the save versions incompatible.

The game shiipped with broken cross saves. This was fixed in early July. I took my Switch 2 on holiday with me until mid July and played the Switch 2 version while away. Since syncing back to PS5 on my return I've been unable to play the Switch 2 again with my save.

The Switch version 2 finally got patched again today... but is still a patch behind the PS5 version, so still unplayable. Worse case senario the PS5 version is patched again in the interim making the next Switch patch incompatable again.

This needs to be resolved, but I'm assuming its more complex than getting all versions aligned Hello Games side, but also at the mercy of Nintendo approving patches in a timley manner ? CDPR seem to be able to get cross saves to work with Wicher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Whats the issue ?

This recent patch may have broke the game settings [Bug]

Ever since this recent update rolled outā€”5.74, whenever I launch the game all my settings are set back to default. Itā€™s annoying because it messes with my graphics settings. Causing the game to not be full screen and have very blurry picture. Even accessibility and general settings are switched back to default. I have fixed my settings like 5 times with them still setting back to default when I relaunch the game. I was wondering if my settings werenā€™t saving to my game after closing it to restart, so I tried playing a bit and then saved with my own settings. But still, I would relaunch and everything would be back to default yet again. Itā€™s very annoying. Is anyone experiencing the same thing on Steam?

Tournament rules

One base per player, uploaded. This means one base computer per player.

The base must have a stated theme (either in the name or description of the entry).

Glitch building techniques are permitted.

Weather/creature desync [Question]

Both me and my friend are on pc. When i have a storm, my friend sometimes wont, even though were right next to each other. Also he will scan an animal, let's call it XYZ-A and be like "ooh look at that, its called XYZ-A"

And I'll scan it, and mine looks completely different even though it hasn't the exact same name.

Is this a fixable issue? I feel like I would have heard about this by now.

Is it because were in a mp session instead of keeping actually starting my own charecter and traveling to his system?

Farming the first free freighter [Question]

Will it always be those dumb looking Cargo ones that look like shipping containers stuck together?

We all know that the very first freighter battle you save is free, so I was looking to try to get a giant one. But after an hour there was no sign of anything different.

Hello I have circa 15 hours in this game. I have completed the base terminal missions except the exocraft one and have these missons available. From the secondary missions i have some plants growing in my base, and some upgrades for the multi tool and exocraft. What should i do next or which mission i should start. Permadeath Storm Crystals [Question]

So I've tried permadeath something like 10-20 times now and only lost one to a game bug, which I thought would be the main problem with this mode. No what's killed me near every time is the lightning.

I try to grab a storm crystal to get my exocraft self-charging or a nexus mission forces me onto an extreme planet and I get one-shot by lightning, again, it's driving me nuts. Exocraft don't offer any lightning resistance that matters, upgraded shields with x-grade + sentinel life support, etc doesn't make a difference. As far my personal experience goes a single stray lightning bolt is definitely fatal, let alone the lightning storms, yet I see alot of threads about players in permadeath on extreme worlds. HOW!?!

Don't get me wrong, I can land on an extreme world and play around in my exocraft regardless of storms no problem, the issue is it means my whole game can abruptly get deleted at any moment via random act of bloody lightning.

Any helpful advice would be very, very, appreciated.

Is it worth $25 on PS5? [Question]

Now obviously it's worth is subjective, but I keep hearing how bad or buggy it is from a few friends who played it on launch and a few years ago. I know a ton has been added in recent years and honestly it sounds like a good deal to me. I have played elite dangerous a lot, and now I'm big fan the space exploration and spaceship building, and as much as I do like how in-depth and sim like elite is, I am a fan as well of a little bit more simplification and no man's sky, I'm also really drawn to the planetary exploration and the combat and building elements. I usually enjoy just exploring and building stuff and games like Minecraft solo, so do you guys think it's worth buying?

Doomed planets [Suggestion]

There should be worlds that are in the process of ending. Obviously I think this should apply to new planets only and not ones with pre existing structures (players bases). The scenarios could be different each time (core detonation, planet collision, etc) it just be interesting to be able to see that in the game. Maybe the players could help escaping colonies or somethingšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø when you scan the planet it could show a warning and an estimated time of extinction. NMS In Game Buildings lost exterior texture [Bug]

This came out of nowhere ā€” all of a sudden, my in-game buildings, tiles, landing pads, and other machines lost part of their textures and now have this dark, brownish appearance (screenshots below).

Things Iā€™ve tried (unsuccessfully): Restarted the game Manually modify the building texture/color Verified game file integrity through Steam Lowered, updated, and reset graphics settings Warped out and back again ā€” but it seems like a game-wide issue

Iā€™m playing on a 16-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Max, 32GB RAM).

Quicksilver Synthesis Guy Issue [Question]

I switched over from nintendo to xbox/pc wanted to keep my expedition rewards used nom nom save editor, and in the proccess made all of the regular quicksilver items like void eggs free i dont want them to be free but even going as far as editing my account json data wouldnt remove them from "Unlocked Seasonal Rewards", so now im lost with no tutorials, my last option is this subreddit so please if anybody can help me please do, im desperate at this point.

Game crash [Question]

Is anyone else's game dying right now? When I load up the game im stood in my overseers office but everything is black or grey, there are no textures at all. When I press to open my exosuit or ship inventory I can see it all no problem. I managed to find my teleporter (as I can still see names of things) amd i got to one of my other settlements but it was the same thing there, different system, new planet but the same issue.

Wow, Santa just visited me [Screenshot]

I was just hanging out in the space anomaly and someone just randomly started giving me stuff, I didn't even know that was possible to just receive stuff and had no clue what was happening for a second. Gave me 50 of these Statsis Devices which are worth a crazy amount of units, S class reactor as well as the parts to build a ship, Dream Aerial (which I just had to look up, but pretty cool item to start a quest for living ships), wriggling tart that overloads my sprint for 15secs. That was pretty awesome and dude looked like Batman lol.

Is it OK to shoot one of your settlers? [Question]

So I have this one Gek settler who is just never happy.

Every time it's "disappointed with the Overseer's decision this" and "unhappy about recent events that". I bust my ass for this guy. Every building is class S. They have Luxury Habitation Palaces and a Saloon. Even a Salty Juice Cannery and a professional art critic. I give them bonuses. I take out their aggressive Sentinels for them. I always donate gifts. I let them go on their little expeditions. Happiness is at 135%, and they are making bank, about 650k a day in the black.

I just can't help but feel like a pulse splitter to the backside might change his attitude, turn his silly flat hat around.

Why do pre built ships have better colours than assembled ones? [Question]

I noticed this when I tried assembling a copy of a 'natural' fighter I'd seen on r/NMSCoordinateExchange. I'd gotten bored of waiting for an A-class to spawn in the space station, so I bought three C-class ships and a S-class reactor, then dismantled them and built my own from the parts.

I coloured it the same as the ship originally looks then parked it proudly on a pad. But when the next 'natural' ship flew in, its colours were noticeably richer than my assembled one? Is there any reason behind this? Is it intentional maybe?

A Trace of Metal softlock [Bug]

After I got my first settlement I couldnā€™t construct an overseer office. Realizing this could potentially stop me from completing the trace of metal quest I quickly set out to make more settlements. After I made my second settlement the first one reported they were under attack. Now every time I return to the settlement itā€™s the same; fend off sentinels, the terminal is receiving an anomalous call, I canā€™t make the overseers office to take the call, and I canā€™t retire as overseer.

game is unplayable [Bug]

I recently upgraded from a Xbox one to series s, and decided to finally give no man's sky a try now that I had better hardware, but without fail, every time on launch, I load into the world, and everything is fine, until I get into my ship or look around. If I leave the controller be, it will be fine, but the second I look around or enter my ship the game will crash. Assuming this was graphical, I turned on performance mode and turned down motion blur, but nothing changed.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded nms on my old Xbox one, and thought the load times are much slower, it does not encounter the same crashing issue.

I've tried Uninstalling and redownloading Clearing the Xbox cache Performance mode and probably many other methods or trouble shooting. If anybody knows how I could fix this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Living freighters when? [Discussion]

So we have living ships, and we have living frigates - how come we still don't have a living freighter to park it all in, and finish the set?šŸ¤” We could have a whole quest of growing one, or finding it crushed in an ocean and reviving it. It can actually be associated with autophage (works from a lore perspective). It would also give players some cool endgame goals through its visual variety - people are still looking for their perfect living ships and frigates. Also, we could actually gradually grow it into S class with foods and parts we collect in some new location/mission type (rather than repeating the same space battle for days to beat the RNG). And the whole new organic interior kit would be wild. So give to us already!šŸ¤—šŸ¦‘

Question about Switch 2 upgrade [Information]

No Manā€™s Sky is currently on sale on the eshop. If I bought the Switch version today would I still get the free upgrade still?

Any information Iā€™ve been able to find was them saying ā€œcurrent ownersā€ would get the free upgrade.

I would like to purchase the Switch 1 version to be able to play across both consoles.

Switch 2 bug: freighter rooms donā€™t materialize [Bug]

Does anyone else have this issue? On my pirate freighter the rooms Off of the bridge donā€™t show up. When you look out from the bridge itā€™s just tge back of the ship and empty space and some workers floating there. If i step out i just drop to the top of the ship. I was hoping it would be patched but there have been a couple patches now and nothing so Iā€™m wondering if itā€™s just an issue on my freighter.

Are the sentinel base multi tools top tier? [Question]

I have a bunch of multi tools from sentinel bases and while they aren't very aesthetic and are class C they have a ton of slots. Is it worth investing to fully deck out these or should I wait for something better or can I find like a Final Fantasy-like Excalibur type weapon somewhere? I want to use one as a mining tool and another as a weapon.

Vykeen keep turning up to my base and giving me damaged ships?? [Question]

Have a moon base as my main, base is generous, minimal structures just the bare essentials at this stage.

Iā€™d say at least 2-3 times a week when I warp home my ship ends up off my landing pod and thereā€™s a Vykeen wandering there whoā€™s willing to part with their ship for free. I am setup right near a distress beacon which also seems to reset and give me things

So far itā€™s always damaged and always C class, so nothing to get too excited about.

Is this normal? Anyone else experiencing/ed this?

I found this sentinel ship, came back with the harmonic brain, but I never got the prompt to complete the salvage
it flew off without taking the brain or anything, then I got a second salvage site located out of nowhere, however, this one was 4-5u under the map
is this just a bug, or can I do something about this lol

I still hope that one day, we will be able to use Vortex Cubes as base decorations. [Discussion]

Vortex Cubes.

Once upon a time back in 2016 when the game first released, Vortex Cubes were one of, if not the most valuable thing in the game to make units quickly and easily. If you found a planet that had caves filled with them, or planets that had them out in the open (in the same way that the red navigation data cubes are out in the open now), you camped out in that system and farmed the cubes for hours and hours to trade them in to the nearest trading post. They were also used in one of the hyperdrive recipes way back then.

Now? They are worth so much less than they used to be. I figure the least we can do is make them a base decoration for those like myself who want to have them on display to remind us of the game's humble, money-making beginnings.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Listening to background radio chatter changes EVERYTHING [Discussion]

Recently began playing Elite Dangerous, and found the presence of spoken dialogue to be such a breath of fresh air from the suffocating silence in No Man's Sky. The only dialogue you hear in NMS comes from your Exosuit and that's it, unless you want to count the gutteral chirps, buzzes, ribbits, and grunts from the alien races as 'dialogue'.

Go on YouTube, search 'NASA radio chatter' or 'Sci Fi radio chatter' or 'spaceship cockpit ambiance' or something akin to that, find a nice hour or longer video, play it in the background, and watch how it totally transforms the atmosphere and mood of your game. The galaxy suddenly becomes so much more alive as you hear the back-and-forth chatter of fellow Travelers going about their business. Trust me, the immersion factor goes up a TON if you do this - thank me later.

Does changing the save name reset my ā€œ3 hr waitā€ for freighter class rerolling? V [Question]

Iā€™ve warped about 20 times through 4 of the same pirate systems but no pirate fights are spawning, when I hop out of my ship at the space station the auto save doesnā€™t save the right time but the restore does? What is happening? The only way to make sure my auto save is the right time is changing the save name for some reason, am I missing something? Didnā€™t have a problem yesterday until I retired my settlement but had issues through a linked quest. When I did have them spawning every single one was c class.

Settlement 24/7 under Attack. [Question]

Yesterday i got a "Emergency call" from my settlement that it is under attack by drones. I instantly went there, lost the first time won the 2nd try. Since then whenever i arrive back at my settlement the have returned. I was warped in another system, offline and been making missions since the "emergency call" and this post, and it still hasnt changed. Also got no mission that says its under attack and i shall destroy them. Am i missing something?

GF Save Editor question for advanced players: Can I set type and position of hotspots on a planet using the save editor? [Question]

Iā€™ve got ridiculous hours logged playing NMS across several platforms and am at the stage where Iā€™m starting to get interested in the save editor, which now has me interested in seeing what small mods I might be able to do in the JSON files.

So, Iā€™m wondering, somewhere within the JSON files, there must be some data that describes what hotspots are near your base and what they are. So, Iā€™m thinking, of I can find these references, maybe I can change the location of hotspots, maybe increase their number, maybe even select what minerals they are, or possibly even determine their class or density.

Anyone have any experience trying to do this?

As a bonus, Iā€™m wondering, can I transfer an entire base construction to a new location, such as another planet, etc. if I find a big enough flat surface and have coordinates?

PSA: please respect the 1050max unit base permitter of tour neighbor. [Suggestion]

Found the perfect spot on a radioactive relic planet in a yellow star system, it has 5 mineral hotspots, two spots with massive numbers of runaway mold (20+ each) all within the 1050u perimeter of my base, and with a crashed freighter, a sentinel tower, two populated NPC buildings, and deep-ish water very close by (with the pillar also actually within the perimeter).

Naturally I built my base and spent a good bit of time doing it. I did not connect all of my hotspots. The planet also has a lot of other bases on it, which I think is pretty cool.

The following day, I came to my base and found two separate bases built on top of one of the runaway mold sites, overlapping each other to the point that you couldnā€™t even walk through either because they were so mixed up together.

I donā€™t mind neighbors, but I had uploaded my base and it was clear these two bases were quickly established during the night at the 700u mark away from my base computer. And one of the bases made an attempt to confine the mold so that nobody could access it.

Of course, since other put their bases there, I could not make any edits to the terrain or put up any of my own base elements, and one of these guys swiped two of my hotspots, which prevented me from developing them as I jad intended (I even had placed a save beacon on them), so I had no choice but to report both bases.

Then I took the additional step, with my ability to edit being restored, of building a massive structure with multiple layers on and surrounding the area of their bases, and then ensured each layer was completely enclosed, like a tomb. Then I up-loaded my base again.

Of course, I suppose they each can just report my base to make mine disappear too, Iā€™m guessing; but the unfortunate thing now os that walking through that area, is super laggy and weird because even though the...

I was wondering about syncing between cross saves of Switch 2 and Steam (in desc.) [Question]

A while ago I saw issues pop up with delays syncing versions with cross saves, leading to multiple "saves" that override one. How does that work?

NMS is on sale on Switch 2 and I wanted to buy it since it looks amazing as an on the go game, but Steam is still my primary way of playing since it runs the best. Can someone please explain in stupid people terms what the issue was, what version differences causes and if I frankly even have to be worried about that? I'm dense. Light No Fire expectations [Discussion]

While I can see that Light No Fire will have the basic gameplay features as No Man's Sky such as exploring, resource gathering and procedural generation, I feel that it needs to have enough that is distinct from NMS to make it unique.

My expectations are that it needs to have more RPG elements, more dynamic settlements, more emphasis on survival, and a sort of level progression where you have to work a little harder to get the best stuff such as mounts, high level gear and a lot of currency.

What are your expectations and what concerns do you have?

I know that the game hasn't come out yet but I just want to talk about it.

1 - Is it possible to find more than (1) S-Tier Interceptor with different supercharged slot layouts in the same system/on the same planet?

2 - Is an S-Tier Interceptor a guaranteed (eventual) spawn in a 3star economy system via the Dissonant ā€œpingsā€ from the harmonic camps regardless of attempts?

Can No Loner Warp To Black Hole Systems [Bug]

After the most recent update. I noticed can no longer get my galaxy map to route to either a black hole or atlas station solar system.

I even talked to polo to plot coordinates. My galaxy map allows free explore and route to the galaxy core but not black hole or atlas systems.

How can I extend the base radius underwater? [Question]

I have mining set up for lithium around 400 U under water and an underwater electromagnetic spot around 500U from my base computer (within the 1k limit). I was attempting to extend the radius to connect these two using f materials such as floors or underwater chambers+watertight door however none of them enable the full build menu. I have extended several bases before but never underwater, is there a post I missed which explains this or is there something I might be doing wrong?

Lost a years worth of saves [Question]

I started playing last night and thought the save date seemed off. After going to some of my bases, I noticed some bases were gone. Looking deeper into it I see Iā€™m missing a years worth of saves. They are also not on Steam cloud for what ever reason. My question is, while my game doesnā€™t know it but there are 2 huge bases out there, what happens to those bases? Iā€™ll never find them but are they out there?

New PS4 and save file [Question]

I got a new PS4 and I have my old data saved to the PS cloud, I downloaded it from the cloud to my new PS4 but it's not showing up when I load the game? Any idea how I fix this please, I put years into the game, started around 2018 and kinda stopped in 2021... Just really don't want to start over from scratch.

S Class Settlement? [NMSTG Hub Region (xxxx01DDF571)]

How in the world do you even get a settlement to S class? I have a gek settlement (my favorite race) that has been A class for ages! I have ocer 150 population, around 900,000 productivity, only 30,000 maintenance cost and sentinel warning is only at 4%. Almost all the building are also upgraded to S class! Im just wondering at this point is it even possible?

Help with the finer points of not blowing it early with starships [Question]

Newer player here and have gotten great advice here so far. I have a few questions on starshipsā€¦

While playing the main storyline I claimed Atremisā€™ old ship for a tutorial fix up project. When I claimed it, my Radiant Pillar disappeared and I could not recall it or figure out how to find it. After a mild panic attack, I reverted to the save just before I claimed the derelict, so all is good for now. Iā€™m back to owning just the RP.

I have not claimed a freighter yet. Can I own more than one ship without owning a freighter, and if I buy or claim another, where does my Radiant Pillar go? If the answer is I need to claim a freighter first, I will do that before I do any more starship shopping.

Question two. It seems that Units are ā€œmuchā€ easier to come by in bulk than Nannites, at least in the early game. I feel like it will be a better strategy to just buy a higher class and more well equipped ship than trying to upgrade one with Nannites right now. Does this make sense?

I want to hold on to my Radiant Pillar and fully upgrade it at some point, but that feels better done later in the game. In the meantime I donā€™t want to accidentally lose it. Iā€™m extremely paranoid about it after the aforementioned debacle with Artemisā€™ ship.

Any advice is appreciatedā€¦..

Why is the space anomaly so broken still? [Bug]

wish i could add multiple tags for this, but im absolutely astonished that its still possible to fail a nexus mission because of getting stuck in the green door of the space anomaly. this has existed for years from what i can tell when i tried searching to fix it, having to restart this weekend for the 3rd time!

Has No Man's Sky Nintendo Switch 2 Edition 5.73 gotten worse? [Bug]

Signal booster and Abandoned Universe [Question]

I hadn't played NMS in quite some time, and decided to start a new game when I noticed the Abandoned Universe option. And since I hate myself, I of course had to try it out.

Since there are no npc vendors, I can't buy stuff like planetary charts, which means I have to rely on things like exocraft radars and the signal booster.

Problem is, the signal booster requires surge batteries, and surge batteries were apparently part of an expedition that's no longer available? So in my AU save it's basically useless.

The signal booster works normally in both my old Normal save, and a new Relaxed save, so this has to be some sort of bug.

I've submitted a bug report, but in the meantime are there any workarounds? Apart from making an exocraft with a radar of course.

I think this is still directly related to nms, and I want attention called to it so that the NMS devs get their attention on it too. It makes me angry.

Itā€™s called ā€œauroriaā€ and looks like the typical fancy Chinese spyware. I really hope they file a DMCA on this because wayyy too much of it is pulled from nms. You can tell just by watching the trailer. Next frigate - keeping cargo? [Question]

Hi! So Iā€™m wondering what to do next now that Iā€™ve beat, what I think is, the main story. Iā€™m almost 100 hours into the game and I still have my first C-class frigate. It might be time to upgrade.

Iā€™ve been curious for upgrading my frigate a couple of times, once Iā€™ve seen higher classes, but I want to recall getting messages that I will lose my frigateā€™s inventory.

Basically all my storages on my frigate (7 storages at the moment) are full and somewhat organized. Just a little concerned of losing it, is all.

Do different technologis (weapons) on a Multi-Tool buff each other? [Question]

I'm about to sell all of my Boltcaster upgrades for nanites since there's no way I'm having to cycle through more that 2 weapons at a time, I hate this cycling thing so much. So I'm set on Pulse Spitter for an SMG and Scatter Blaster for a shotgun, also subweapons like Plasma Launcher and so on.

I know about one technology adjacency bonuses.

But do I lose any damage bonuses to my Pulse Spitter or Scatter Blaster if I don't have said Boltcaster installed on my Multi-Tool at all?

Controller Settings [Question]

Just wondering if anyone has some controller song recommendations? Iā€™m playing on a ROG Ally X and struggling with getting land based movement to feel good. It feels like the game has some kind of in built acceleration when moving with the right stick and it makes it very hard to aim when mining or fighting sentinels.

I was primarily a mnk gamer before buying this Ally but I have enough hours with controller in showers to know that this isnā€™t just a skill issue. It feels off.

Cross save not compatible [Question]

Hey yā€™all, I usually play this game on my switch two system I was trying to cross play feature to my computer and now I canā€™t log back in on my switch because the game is too updated on the computer. Had to restart the game šŸ«¤ [Discussion]

I was playing No Manā€™s Sky on my Switch 1 and recently upgraded to a Switch 2. I had almost 50 hours in my save, and I really thought I could transfer it to the new console...but apparently not. Maybe I messed something up, or maybe the feature wasnā€™t working well on Switch 1. Who knows šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Itā€™s frustrating, especially because the thing that bugs me the most is losing my inventory, I'd gathered so many useful items.

That saidā€¦ the difference between Switch 1 and Switch 2 is just wow. The graphics are on another level I can actually see the rings around planets now! And I can finally melee boost without struggling šŸ˜‚ Even in the first few minutes, I came across things Iā€™d never seen before ā€” like polished stones.

Thankfully, after 50 hours, I still remember the early game steps, repairing my ship, gathering resources, and so on.

The only downside of switching consoles? On Switch 1, the game auto-saved every minute. Now I have to be more careful not to exit without saving manually... definitely something Iā€™ll have to get used to šŸ˜…

modding after update question [Question]

So I am fairly new to the game, played for the first time in January this year. Have not played since April. I know the game got a big update, and then noticed today that the game just had another update.

I am aware that mods go in GAMEDATA now but I am just wondering if that is all that really changed. Like do old mods still work but just put them in GAMEDATA now? I do not want to add a ton of mods, basically just visuals to make the planets more diverse and space more colorful and such. Do not care about gameplay mods really unless it is something spectacular.

Exosuit Expansion tools. [Question]

Since starting this game a couple months now, multiple saves, I've never had an exosuit Expansion tool work. Instead I have to sell them and purchase the slots myself. Which is great in the beginning because I end up getting 3 for the price of one but eventually the slots cost more than the sale value of the tools. Has anyone else got this weird bug? All other expansion tools work, just the exosuit do not.

i had 20 active distress beacons on the same planet before my switch lite had enough [Discussion]

the killing blow was trying to go back to my hangar after storing some ships for later salvage. the idea was to return to every single beacon and claim the ships + loot, but my switch lite could not hold on given my freighter alone made it lag. luckily i was able to retrace the position of an S class shuttle from my freighter's position in the sky lol

Playing alone? Multiplayer mode [Question]

Hi everyone, I'm thinking of buying a new game. I just got the Switch 2 and this game is on sale with a huge discount. I have no intention of playing it on the PC.

But my question is, is it just multiplayer? When playing on Switch 2, do you play alongside PC players? Or are you just with Switch 2 players? I understand the world is infinite, but I don't want to play alone

I read that the two games are not the same version, but I don't know how much it affects

Bug,low fps [Question]

Hi i have played no mans sky for like 60h and i had this problem before, and i somehove managed to fix but dont remember how. So the broblem is that sometimes when a open the game like normaly i get like 10 to 20 fps normaly i have around 140 fps. I saw o redit that i have to change latency mode in nvdia control panel from ultra to on and it helped but when i tried to select diferent setings(frame gen,dlla..) i happend again,and when i do the trick again nothing happens, somehow when i turn on dlla the fps was ok but the game was laggy and it looked different and when i changed to dlss it went to 10 to 20fps. I have rtx 4060 i7 13th 16gb ram, and my gpu usage is 95 to 100procent .pls someone help i could send some videos if anyone want, and also i reinstal my drivers for integrated and dedicated cards, reinstal the game, verify game integnity.

How to restore a previous save, steam cloud enabled [Question]

Hello,

I am very new to no mans sky, hasn't been two weeks since I've started playing, and I just died for the first time.

I didn't know it would wipe out my entire inventory, and I had done a lot of grinding to have a decent amount of basic elements, as well as a stock of charts and random stuff.

If I have to redo all of that when I could have avoided doing what I did and dying, it will sour a lot of my appreciation as I will be stuck grinding all over again. I Really don't want to do that. I'm truthfully a lazy gamer, what can I say?

I see all of these mentions of an st_ file as well as \hellogames\nms but I can't find it on my computer, the whole 'there's two save files' also doesn't compute as when I open the game it only shows one current save for the game I'm playing.

I think steam has cloud save auto enabled, as I haven't changed anything since downloading it.

Honestly all of the advice I have seen just isn't detailed enough for me to make use of. Any help would really be awesome.

I'm using a PC, windows 11.

Struggling with NMS VR [Question]

Hey all, not sure if this is the appropriate sub Reddit for this, Iā€™m sure I could cross post in several.

Trying to play no manā€™s sky VR through steam using my Meta quest 2 and really struggling with it. Hereā€™s my setup:

Windows 11 CPU I5 13600 RTX4060 Ti

By all rights this kit should run it fine through steam link if you check the min requirements.

PC is hard wired to a google home access point, no idea if this is WiFi 5 or not. Iā€™m confident it isnā€™t WiFi 6. When I disconnect and go full WiFi on the PC, I get an error saying this isnā€™t an option.

Yes they are on the same network, I only have access to one which is my own.

Whatā€™s happening:

Canā€™t get steam link to work at all. Either doesnā€™t show that the PC is available to link, or if Iā€™m hard wired to the computer I get the error 200 ā€œhost computer has stopped respondingā€ message.

I donā€™t believe I have USB3, hoping this isnā€™t the issue.

The only way I got it to ā€œworkā€ is through quest link, which is hella janky, and the controls arenā€™t right.

Any help would be appreciated.

hey guys,

is NMS worth trying again?

i just bought it in the steam sale, tried it and imediatly returned it due to frustration.

it sent me to a high security planet in the like first mission thing, and didnt tell me anything. Naturally i see smt flying at me and kill it leading to me getting chased for an hour straight by sentinal units without it letting me escape (couldnt even burry myselve bc i had no terrain tools). is that just normal or bad luck and a few bugs.

on a lets play it looked like it could be fun to grind but after getting fucked over by the game i just couldnt handle it and would love your opinion.

Lost a ship completely while taking another out of my archive. [Question]

Has anyone ever lost a ship this way? Was taking an exotic out of my archive I didnā€™t want to scrap it and when it loaded into my active ships it took the name and place of one of my S class sentinel ships and I could not get my sentinel back. I spent a lot of time and nanites to get that ship upgraded to what it was. I still have a base on the planet where I got it so I can get another but it was a complete loss.

Taking damage while still in my shelter [Bug]

Hey y'all.

Was unsure to post this with the Bug flair or Question flair, as I'm not too sure if this is a bug or an intended feature, but I'm on a planet with extreme weather and a large volcano right next to my outpost (there's an S-tier activated copper node), and randomly in my outpost my health starts going down in chunks due to it being too hot. My outpost has power and I'm assuming that the volcano is erupting and I take damage from the fireballs that come from it.

Is this an intended feature or a known bug? Thanks.

Beginner tips for newcomer! [Question]

Hey everyone! I posted here a couple days ago asking if it was worth sale on the PS5 right now, and I got overwhelmingly positive response! I ended up buying it and I'm probably going to play it for the first time and I was just wondering if there's any good tips or advice that more experienced players would have for me! I come from playing Elite Dangerous if that has any influence. I'm super excited!

Anyone else getting camped and killed on weeded mission? [Discussion]

Is PVP usually this active on weekend missions? I was doing the excavation one and noticed a few people on the same planet. When I went to fly out of orbit to finish up the mission I immediately exploded. Before I could figure out what happened I respawned on the ground in my ship and got blown up again. One more time then I got out to book it (cause I'm bad at aiming šŸ˜…). Two people persued me and I had to quick tunnel under ground in a zig zag to lose them. It was wild. Do they get something for doing that? Or are they just being rude and interrupting people's missions for no reason?

Overdoing it? [Discussion]

I really love no man's sky. Been playing it ever since i was an early teenager. I love what the dev team did through all these years. I really do apreciate all the hardwork they giving us for free and i wouldn t take it for grant it.

But something is bugging me in terms of the planet diversity. I love Animals, biology and aliens and i really hope they become more diverse in the futur but hear me out this isnt what im writing it about. It seems that wit each update planets are getting more and more similar like whenevr they add a cool thing they suddenly feel the need to add it to half the planets of the galaxy like floating islands for example. Also as for life forms since the game is lacking in terms of diversity in this part it would be in my "OPINION" a much more reasonable take. -to first of all since the main dominant sentient life forms are only three solar systems should be less inhabited and civilised like it doesnt make sense for every system to have a space station, an outpost and everything unless it has amazing ressources and is in a trade route.

-more dead solar systems will be much more important to the experience. The universe is in reality much more empty in terms of life forms and life is extremely rare. so just having normal gas giants, dead rocky or metalic planetsss is the way to go with just basic ressources and minerals that the players will use to get to another system.

-making animals even rarer will too help with the atmosphere.

these are just suggestions so that exploration will feel much more fullfiling and much better like how many of us explored up to 1 million paradise planet only to say "oh its another grassy one with the flying blobs" instead of " OH AN ALIVE PLANET OMG OMG OMg". but then again i might wrong its up to the majority of players and dev team most importantly to decide.

Network back up [Bug]

Thought would post this - not sure if correct place, last week when at the space anomaly I noticed i was the only one there which was odd as the day before it was busy with players and ships etc.. after checking i noticed my network option was missing . Googled this and tried multiple options to find a fix - checking home connection. Internet. Clearing the cache. Uninstall the game nothing worked until I cancelled my game pass and then resubscribed which suddenly fixed the issue and now network option is back and can once again see other players . Big relief as was ready to quit the game. Just thought would post in case anyone else has issue and this might work for them . Ps I'm on xbox series s game pass ultimate Subscription which had not expired and was still working on other games.

Help I can't continue the Artemis path questline [Question]

Is there a new way to reset quests? I'm on ps4 and tried holding R3 while hovering over the quest but it won't reset and I don't see any option to do it. I heard you need to complete the Artemis path to unlock the missions required to get the new ship upgrade that lets you travel to purple star systems. I cannot find the system where I began this quest for the life of me, not even through base portals. Can anybody help?

Help me find my first S class Multitool. [Question]

So far i've explored all these 3* Economy systems. I've flown direct to the space station and noted down the multitool available along with any potential planet i might wish to call home.

I've tried the trick to force a reload of the tool to no avail. Check Space station tool, Fly to planet, get out of ship to autosave, press esc and reload the save that was just made, fly to station, same exact multitool is still in the cabinet.

Can someone explain if i'm doing that correctly or if it's been changed. All comments are like 6y old.

I've made so many jumps and come across so many freighters under attack, yet they're all C class capital ships. I believe until i claim my first free ship it will always be a capital ship, so just waiting on that S class to pop up.

I'm really trying to get an SMG looking multitool.

I'm still flying my starter ship and start tool which is tedious. Someone at the anomoly gifted me 350m worth of items which i sold and i've just been increasing my exosuits inventory everytime i hit a 3* system. Would really like to get started on building a home but really want a cool looking tool first.

Here's a list of all 3* systems i've hit since making the list. (I don't know what glyphs are yet so just kinda fiddling with the galaxy map slowly getting closer to the center. Canā€™t get Glyphs [Question]

Hi all, I havenā€™t seen a traveller in about 40 hours out of my 45 hour save

Is there a specific quest line I need to do to get them to show up?

I have 1 glyph currently.

I really want to be able to see some of the locations shown on this sub but I donā€™t want to resort to cheating

I also donā€™t want to spend another 40 hours and get no glyphs.

Any tips? I read that you should go far away from your home system, and I did about 25 jumps but still nothing

Alt tab permanent fps drop and major fps loss on water planets [Question]

Ive done some looking around and i saw that the permanent fps drop from minimizing or alt-tabbing is a known problem for some players. Ive just accepted that i have to reload my game. But my bigger problem is I just landed on a couple different water planets for the first and my frames tanked so bad while i was on it i had to leave. They donā€™t stay like that after leaving atmosphere just while Iā€™m within the planet. Anything i can do to fix this? In my Nvidia app i optimized the game and it set everything to ultra automatically, and i donā€™t have any other issues with the game besides in major water planets. šŸ‘

Galaxy hunting. [Screenshot]

After doing the weekend nexus mission I ran up to the 'stargate' šŸ™ƒ and saw a galaxy I had never been to. Download the data and took off across the universe. Once there I search around for suitable location to create a launching point into that galaxy for others that happen to scope out new galaxies in the anomaly. Then it became the weekend plan. Several launch points later I think I still have a very long way to go if I decide to try and get all the Pokemon, I mean galaxies.......

New players. Donā€™t spoil it for yourself if you can help it.

Iā€™ve been to a few archives and read a bit on race history. I donā€™t recall reading anything about a races gender or children. Is there gender or is it just designed to be baseline where anyone can be anything?

I know the universe is simulation but Iā€™ve just had the feeling the galaxies feel very male orientated. Itā€™s hard to explain because I get thatā€™s itā€™s a conteuct. Does anyone have a good guess or some Knowledge?

The First Traveller bug [Bug]

Hey All!

I'm running into a pretty big issue with the mission "The First Traveller" from "Null, the Stranger." To preface, this is my third playthrough, but my last two saves were corrupted (and I'm experiencing quite a few crashes this update as well - but that's neither here nor there). I know a few basic fixes and have tried them (I listed those below)

The issue is thus:
I have located the crashed Freighter, as requested in the quest marker, BUT:
I already visited this particular freighter for a previous quest, and looted the cargo boxes.
Re-looting the cargo boxes awards no items.
I cannot reset the questline, even after 1,000LY worth of warps, a portal warp, AND a black hole warp.

It's making it impossible to progress this save file, and I really would like to not lose the twenty or so hours I've already put in - in addition to the hundreds of hours on previous saves that are unrecoverable. I'm afraid that if I can't figure these issues out, I may have to stop playing NMS altogether - which is something I don't want to happen.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Help with storm crystals. [Question]

Hi! I'm back on that NMS phase and am working a fairly new file with the release of Beacon. One thing every one of my files shares in common though is an entire lack of storm crystals - either I never bother with them or when I specifically go hunting for them, I never find anything. I am currently in a yellow star system on a viridescent planet with extreme superheated rain. I've got the extreme hazard drain and am gaining progress towards the extreme survival milestones so it certainly is one, but I cannot for the life of me find ANY crystals. Searching with the analysis visor shows nothing and the wiki claims they're 'easily spotted by their glow' and yet nothing. Do they just not spawn on lush planets specifically or..? I want to start using hypercores over just antimatter but it's kinda hard to do that without a single crystal, lol.

Abandoned/destroyed Space Station Lore [Discussion]

So maby not the right place but i just encountered something an had a lore thought. (sorry for my bad writing)

So I just came by a Deserted Space Station after a long time and I realized something (havent seen one in years).They are the old Space Stations back from release.

Could that be an explaination for, why noone ingame is wondering why and how the Stations changed over time? The Atlas just rewrote them and deleted/abandoned the old ones? That would also explaine why the glow red. Its intresting that they still kinda work tho.

Its just a thought i have atm where i saw it. Maybe some of you know more or find it as interesting as me.

Finally Found a Squid Ship [Screenshot]

After close to 1900 hours. Though I only buckled down trying to find one the last few months by hanging out at these trade centers. I uploaded a base at one at this system that overlooks the landing pads. It is a bit of a wait if you try.

Love it!

I have a Switch, but held off since I had heard about the issues it had in the past.

Just got a Switch 2 today, and was impressed with what I have read about the way NMS performs on the Switch 2!

Went to the eShop and apparently NMS is on sale right now! Huzzah!

However I noticed that the price is identical for either the original Switch version, or the Switch 2 version.
The upgrade for the Switch 2 is free if you own the og Switch version.

So my question is if I just went ahead and bought it for the original Switch, and then used the upgrade for 2, would that be any different than just purchasing it for the Switch 2 from the get-go?

I mostly ask since I will be likely keeping my original Switch, so it would be nice to have access to that version if I ever decided to put it on there.

Or am I overthinking this and should just get the Switch 2 version?

My settlement base is ruined since the patch, anyone else? [Question]

I just visited my settlement base city Iā€™ve been working on for a while and it looks like the layout of the settlement buildings has changed. Theyā€™re all in different spots so the whole place looks like a mess with base parts in the air everywhere.

Iā€™m guessing thereā€™s no fix to this, Iā€™m gutted after all the hours i put in but I guess that was the risk.

Well, I guess I'm paying for my freighter [Screenshot]

I'll start by saying I very much like some of the system freighters.

I've been trying to score a decent freighter in my new-ish permadeath save. But I've been away for a few years and didn't know HG had messed with the whole "fly-straight-to-the-space-station-hop-out-and-save-then-reload-until-you-find-the-one-you-want" process. That screwed me twice before I googled it and learned about the change. I didn't really want to wait another 3 hours of game time to trigger the next battle. I had already passed up a sentinel A class. I saw this system freighter and liked the look, though I wish it were longer, so I landed on it.

I get out of my hauler, scan, and HOLY SHIT.

It's an S class. Not the greatest starting layout, but you know what? Fuck it. I'm tired of trying to trigger the battle for the free one, and it's an S.

I'm pretty sure this is also my first S freighter in many hundreds of hours of gameplay over a few dozen saves.

Sentinels ruin the game (yes I know we can remove them). Will get better on foot combat? [Question]

Genuinely, Iā€™ll never understand why there is no metric to remove them PERMANENTLY from a planet.

Iā€™ve found so many perfect planets with sentinels.

Iā€™m okay with them as theyā€™re lore friendly.

But it would be nice to find a home without them, and if they have them, Iā€™d like to be able to remove them without going through 5 rounds of redundancy

Got back into the game after years [Discussion]

And oh boy where there updates. The Last time I played this multi-player just launched and it was still pretty bare bones... now there's fishing? And taming? And all sorts of new things. Like fossils. I honestly feel impressed because I feel like im playing the game for the first time and its great. I have two new pets, a giant, floating squid things, and a smaller elephant trunked cuddle fish flying thing that has a case of the frog butt. And a planet full of spiders, (picture for reference. There were like 17 different spices space spider that I am never going back to that planet. i called it the horrible mushroom planet and it had gravity storms) There are new plants to harvest. There are new story lines.. im actually surprised there is this much new content for me to explore. So now I want to know what have I not seen yet? I guess Im gonna go find out.

Can someone help me? [Question]

I just bought it on the Switch 2 while it was on sale. I'm still in the Awakenings mission. I left the first planet and after using the pulse drive it ran out of fuel. I have repeatedly been prompted to gain more tritium to fuel my ship. I eventually just stocked up a bunched after my pulse drive kept running out, so I stocked up. Like, I stocked up a lot. I'm pretty sure I've been doing this at least an hour and a half and I still haven't gotten to the second planet. Am I just an idiot or have I missed something? Both are not mutually exclusive, and any help would be appreciated.

Cross Save Issue (Switch 2) [Question]

Modes and instances [Question]

Hello everyone,

My son and I are gaming together Sat in the same room with 2 copies on different pc's

But lots of events aren't shared. Such as Pirates, frieghters under attack etc.

After goggling I belive its because he selected relaxed and i'm on normal.

And the game will place us in different instances.

Missed my free freighter, am I cooked? [Question]

Yesterday I did my fifth jump warp, saved the freighter from the pirates, and then I was out of there. I had been on a freighter before and saw they were really expensive, and I had no idea until now that I could get that one for free. Will I ever get a chance for a free freighter again? I have way too much clutter in my inventories right now and desperately need a way to offload some of it

Base Limits Tips [Question]

Base building in this game is my whole life. I love it. But I have run into the part limit a few times. This new project is an entirely encircled settlement. Thinking about a dome or doors or something over top, but Iā€™ve noticed many parts disappearing.

Any tips out there for getting the whole base to load in and pushing the parts limit? Am I really reserved to making multiple base computers as a workaround? I donā€™t really want to manage multiple, but any tips welcome. Xbox gamer for reference, extra fans strapped to the sides and top to make it possible to warp in.

"Support the expedition" quest for a frigate but I can't find the frigate [Question]

I got a quest from one of my frigates saying they found atypical fauna and need me to go scan it, but I can't find them on the galaxy map. Everywhere I go, it tells me "Atypical fauna located on distant planet" and to open my galaxy map but I can't find the quest symbol anywhere. I made a base in a system a while back and the quest icon is there when I try to tp there from a space station, but when I get there, it still says that it is on a distant planet. The system has no quest marker either when I'm in space. Can anyone help?

Why do a lot of explorers stay in the Euclid Galaxy? [Question]

Had this game since its inception (didnā€™t play for a few years), and now about a little over 200 hours into it. Once I was able to galaxy jump I never looked back at the Euclid Galaxy, but seeing a lot of posts on here with glyphs from this galaxy and I I ask why? Why do so many players stay here? Are you just starting? More planet variety? Comfort?

What do I need to do to get to the purple star systems? [Question]

I've "finished" the three main quests. They are stuck giving me messages to explore the galaxy while I can, go find stuff in the anomaly and atlas eternal.

I'm on cheat mode. I've got all the tech I could learn from the anomaly, but when I see a purple star in the galaxy map, there's never a line to it, no matter what scan mode I'm in...

Am I missing a drive? How do I learn how to build it?

Hi, ich bin bei der Mission Apollos Kontakt person und immer wenn ich die Person anspreche, bekomme ich ein Modul aber die quest geht nicht weiter.

hi .. this really isn't a troll attempt.. i have wanted to get into this game after getting bored with it like 18 months ago.. it just wasn't interesting to me or believable that every form of life in the universe boils down to a handful of different animal types.. or that the extent of geological possibility basically revolved around different color schemes per planet..

do the guild missions ever diversify more? am I missing out by not building or my outposts more? what is the motivator for you to die this game up every day?

Problem with extending base perimeter [Question]

I've had this issue come up on two different bases. I have used the trick of extending my buildable perimeter by laying down floor slabs as I walk towards the area I want to build in. All fine, and I can construct stuff in the new place, but then I'll find that later on, I can no longer build in certain areas, even though I have existing structures there. Furthermore, if I attempt to move one of those parts, it deletes and can't be replaced.

Any idea what causes this, and if there's a work around?

OK, this is new... Rescued frigate with a storage container?? [Question]

So, here I am, rescuing a frigate from a pirate attack, venerator style, didn't think much of it as it was a C class. I go up a ladder, to find... this. And it's FULL of stuff. Fireworks, augmentation slots for frigates, my exosuit, my ship, and multi-tool. Stacks of living pearls, A full stack of fusion accelerant and semi-conductors, poly-fiber, unstable gel, repair kits by the ton.. the list just goes on, the whole container was FULL. And the downstairs is a bit weird too in that it has all the parts of an abandoned frigate, lockers, suitcases, racks, and floor lights etc but they were all empty. Did I just stumble across the ship from Event Horizon or something??

Should I just give up? [Question]

Ive been searching and searching for this rare underground fauna on a moon for days! Ive read almost all the threads in this sub about underground fauna and how they can be hard to find and followed all the advice, here is what I have tried so far:

-Using the minotaur to scan for secure facilities -Searching the terrain around the facility in photo mode to locate caves and cave entrances -Ive located every building on the moon and have placed a save beacon next to every cave ive found -Waited around deep in caves, nothing -Threw 25 creature pellets into the cave, reloaded the save point, nothing -Reloaded my save point outside of cave entrances dozens of times -Reloaded my save point inside of a cave dozens of times -Searching caves near minor settlements, nothing

Ive been at it for close to 10 hours now..should I just give up at this point? Is this some sort of a bug where I can never find this creature?

"Discovered" a world with 29 player bases on it? [Question]

I found a portal. Since I had the first glyph, I teleported towards the center of the Euclid galaxy. I landed on a petrified world and was greeted by those wonderful words, "First Contact." I renamed the world "Jacks Planet" because everything looked like jacks (yes, I'm old enough to remember them from when I was a kid.) Then I looked up and saw a base already there. Checked the Discoveries tab and found a total of 29 player bases. And yet... I discovered it, and was allowed to rename it? I'm a bit confused.

Settlements, upgrade 1 and start construction on another at the same time. [Information]

Interloping on PS5. Just started on a new settlement and found you get two builds at the same time.

This is my 4th settlement and I've not stumbled on this before?

So today, after taking on as overseer I ignored the "building opportunity" and started to upgrade the warehouse. Went back to the terminal and building op was still available (Silo or generator) so I started started construction on the Silo, couldn't do anything to any other buildings but the warehouse was ticking along to a B.

Once the Silo opened, waited for another building opportunity, ignored this and started to upgrade the nano farm instead. Back to the Terminal "building op available" for housing, after starting this went back to the farm, ticking along nicely.

In 3 visits I've gone from debt increasing to debt decreasing, albeit slowly, in 4 hours.

How do i save a prebuilt base template? [Question]

That is, I always build a 3 layer base

***Basement or ground level (originally basement, then the ground started intruding on my builds so I started always making it a walk out basement at ground level)

3x3 grid of cuboid rooms,

n & s have a cuboid room for the exit & teleporter,

storages 0 to 4 on the left,

storages 5 to 9 on the right, the corners get cuboid rooms with batteries (4 in each)

The base computer is usually on the basement/ground floor just behind the ladder opening facing the doorway on the opposite side

***Main level

centred square room

Glass cuboid on the corners with solar power panels (4 in each)

Ladder in middle going up and down

Doors on all 4 sides

Snappable launch pad

*** biodome level ***

Biodome on top Usually do the plants in sequence and then start the sequence again

...

So how would I be able to save that basic base and reuse it at multiple locations

Something to do with PC and saving the base folder?

Saw someone posting prebuilds on nexus mods and their "mod" talked about how to use their base save after placing the computer and saving the game

My question is really how to make my own

Quick menu/recharging shields, summoning freighter does not work for me on steam deck. [Bug]

Here is the bug I am experiencing:

When I am in my ship, i tap down on the D pad to bring up the quick menu for recharging, summoning freighter, warping to a new galaxy etc. from that quick menu, I canā€™t recharge anything for the ship, or summon the freighter, pressing A only closes the menu. However, I can warp to a new galaxy just fine from the quick menu. So if I click A on the galaxy map, it works, but if I click A on the battery icon or summon icon, it closes the menu.

On foot this all works exactly as intended though, everything recharges and summons normally while I am walking around. I canā€™t figure out for the life of me how to fix this. Can anyone help?

5 years gone and my home is still here [Screenshot]

Itā€™s been over 5 years since I last played. I bought it on the PS4 then downloaded it for free on the PS5 and it gave me an option to transfer the save file over which I was worried about and my home is still here. I guess I havenā€™t payed the electricity bill no power. A couple of fixes to things I remember. I started on my freighter and I flew out and saw my bad icon ā€œLakeside Manorā€ and I was soo nervous if it was still here. Iā€™m a little emotional never been like this before with a video game before. Last I played was just after the Living Ship update came out. Iā€™m 40 in a weeks time. It feels like a great birthday present

New ship for new player. [Question]

Im roughly 12 hours in and looking to upgrade my ship, but im pretty lost on how to either upgrade the basic ship that was given or to buy and upgrade a different ship. I see there is different types of ships (I'd prefer something with more cargo space because I don't quite have any way to store resources at my home base). Starships [Question]

So i managed to get my wings and thruster but trying to get the fuselage is being very difficult, I've been to 8 or 9 systems and sat waiting at training posts and in the space station but no ships are coming through with the one I want. Does anyone know where I could find a hotrod cockpit. I've been in all the systems too(vykeen, gek, autophage and korvax) but can't find any, please help.

I'm almost there! Less than 100,000 LY from Eissentam galactic core [Screenshot]

I've been playing on my main save for about 500 hours. And this is the first time I am making a journey to the galactic core. I've been to other galaxies like Calypso and Eissentam from finishing main story and teleporting. But I have yet to manually jump to the center. So, I beefed up my S Class Dreadnaught and have been jumping toward the center of Eissentam from about 700,000 LYs. I am now less than 100,000 LYs away and have about 20 jumps left.

How does multiplayer work in nms [Question]

I mostly play solo and iv just recently started turning on multiplayer, but I don't understand how it works, I've heard some stuff about instances, but idk what that means. I was also wondering about what happenens if different players have different settings on, will that just not see each other. And is multiplayer a server, and how come I don't see anomalies everywhere from people who summon them in, and how does the anomaly work, like are the players in the anomaly in the same system as you, or any player in an anomaly Is there, any explanation of this would be very helpful

Possible settlement bug regarding outcome of policy decision [Bug]

I've just recently had a settlement management decision to make between improving leisure or industrial. Each outcome had settlement feature removed and replaced with something new, i chose the industrial and it ended up taking away a features that decreased maintenance replacing it with another "haunted fillet farm" thats also supposed to decreased maintenance but actually ended up increasing by 10,000.

My question, is that how this supposed to work removing a feature for one of the same but actually making it worse? Part of the whole luck of the RNG? Seems strange how i don't have the option to actually choose neither if its replacing it with the same feature but performs that? Why would any overseer want that lol

My freighter lost the military keel? Anyone know what is up with this? [Bug]

So I have not played in a bit and noticed that my freighter did not have a military keel but though I might be misremembering. So I recently learned that you can use a save editor to change your freighter I went to find a Resurgent Venator with the military keel and a specific bridge through NM Seeds.

And upon doing this the freighter I got also did not have a the military keel despite the picture showing it quite clearly. Just wondering if this is a bug or if them maybe removed them or something?

Also has anyone's performance been worse lately? My poor Ally X is struggling where it did not use too at all.

Saved game disappeared [Question]

Hi everyone, I need some help. Yesterday I was playing on my PC with no issues, but today I loaded NMS and when I clicked to load my save, I found nothing. The only thing that appears is the mode selection screen. I tried loading my save from my Xbox, but again, there was nothing. I really donā€™t know what happened. (Btw, I play NMS through Xbox Game Pass.)

I would really preciate it if someone could help me.

Power system bugging out. Anyone experienced this? Fix? [Bug]

I've got 9 electromagnetic power generators sitting on top of an A Class source. Nmbeen working great for a few weeks. Today, all the sudden, all red, no power getting to the base.

The readouts show that each E.P.G. is working, that the system is generating over 2500, but all the power lines are red.

I deleted and rebuilt, and it worked for a bit...but upon return to base, same story. Did that twice to no avail.

Base floor panels aren't flattening terrain [Question]

I encountered an issue after the last patch where any floor panel base piece placed does not flatten the terrain or clear space above it. I can place the pieces fine with no errors. I did submit a big report for this and assumed it was a widespread issue (despite seeing no comments about it). I rolled up a new character today and discovered that the terrain excavation works just fine for that save.

Does anyone have any advice about this? I don't believe I am at the base complexity limit.

Finally got to my first Purple system! [Question]

Spent all this time dreaming of a water planet.

ā€¦And the first waterlocked planet has officially given me sheer anxiety. I got in the Nautilon and scanned for anything underwater and it gave me something 5,000 units down?!

Noped right out of there! Even had to pause and yeet the controller for a few. Did I read that right?!

This leaves me curious ā€” what is the deepest point anyone here has reached? Is it really scary down there? :|

I there a way to glitch/bug out Gas Giants? [Question]

So Iā€™ve been playing the game and got a piece of equipment that required Magnetized Quartzite to create, looked up where to find Magnetized Quartzite and found I had to get access to Purple systems. I hadnā€™t completed Artemis/Apollo missions nor had I completed Atlas.

I went to the Anomaly and purchased the engine upgraded I needed, installed it and was on my way.

I arrived in my first purple system with no luck and after about three dozen more jumps I hadnā€™t found any planet with Quartzite nor had I run across any Gas Giants.

I eventually learned that I needed to complete the missions to unlock Gas Giants. So I set to work. I have now completed the Artemis/Apollo and the Atlas path missions. I have a Star seed installed on my exo suit but havenā€™t had anything happen when I activate the pulse drive.

This is quickly turning from a frustration into an obsession so Iā€™m curious if unlocking Purple systems early could have bugged them out?

Dissonance Resonator unable to be found? [Question]

Iā€™ve been trying to repair Sentinel Interceptor and Iā€™m on the part where I need to find an inverted mirror from the resonator. Iā€™ve spent like 2 hours now trying to find this thing with no luck :(. What is likholu? [Bug]

I just reached eissentam galaxy center and It somehow the Game shows It like if It was a normal solar sistem, i even have a mission there, i have been looking for info about likholu, and most people says that Its like a bugged solar sistem with a lot of bases in there of people that got sent there by a bug, but if anybody can explain the lore behind this and if i can get there, i would be thankfull.

I (got really high and) finally understand what NMS is trying to say [Discussion]

People say No Man's Sky is shallow. They look into the water, see their reflection, and say there is simply no depth for I cannot see the bottom.

No Man's Sky has depth.

No Man's Sky has a culture.

I don't mean the four cultures IN No Man's Sky, though they are less similar than they appear. I mean the game itself has a built-in culture borne of its system interactions, a real pantheon actively showing you their parables, and your ability to see them in action.

For example, solar systems in NMS have economies, the types of which were hard-coded, but the distribution of which are procedural in the same system that seeds the system resource types. A mineral-rich system will provide a lot of metals in the asteroids, gold, silver, and platinum. This attracts a lot of ships, which appear to be attracted to high value items in their area as a way of showing the player "this is a valuable ore field! come over here!" This may be hard-coded in the ship AI, or it may be a symptom of more naturalistic behaviors around attributes interacting with attributes in a simple resonance/dissonance waveform thresholding. And because you can't know that you don't know if the god is IN the machine or if it IS the machine.

Of course the wink is towards god in the machine: Atlas Stations are temples to the Atlas, which provide two Warp Cells each, whether you advance their storyline or not. A social safety net placed conveniently within reach, literal implementation of Universal Basic Income. And yet the distribution of them is algorithmic. The idea that they should provide Warp Cells is obviously an argument for the existence of God in the NMS universe, which is ALSO THE STORY OF THE GAME. The question of: will you follow your god, or will you blaze your own trail in society?

i found an atlas station that wanted the seeds, so i whispered the seeds into each of the pedestal things and then the center one wanted the "heart of the sun", but i didnt have it so i had to deny it and then go craft it, which i did, but i had to go to other systems to make it and lost the interface, and every interface i go to now wants me to "discharge the mark" so i made the mark and got it fully charged, went to "discharge" it and all it did was empty the charge, and nothing changed. i really need some help with getting out of this so i can use the "

I usually stick to building tiny, heavily detailed cozy bases, but after finding this settlement I HAD to have some fun with it. Ive hit the 3000 base parts limit so im working on building surrounding basses around the settlement to expand on it some more, but as somebody who is mediocre at best with building, (dont really do any glitch building much with stuff like switches/bytebeats) this is by far my most expansive base project that I will probably never try on this scale again šŸ˜‚

(kinda) NEWBIE question - 300 hrs down the game, so I'll assume fairly new ; went to the Core and got this screen ; before saying yes made some research and found out I'll lose my bases and settlements, on which I've spend a good amount of time and not finished yet all [Question]

I don't think I will go for this as am going to lose quite a bit in the trade ; i've reached this area cause im running out of main quests and thought that might be the way and besides exploring the game is a bit stagnant (done the Atlas quest, the Artemis one and a couple of other ones, but not all cause I still can't reach Purple systems in order to gather Lithium ; I understand the game is more a sandbox one rather than a story/quest one and thought if I sent to the Core I could continue ; but now am having cold feet considering what am going to lose ; any advice?

Why not pulse to another star? [Discussion]

Many of us as new players wondered this, and some of us may have even tried. So here's some math based on the solar system:

Proxima Centauri, our closest neighbor, is 4.25 light years from the sun. The distance between the sun and Neptune, so about half way across the solar system, is about 4 light hours. That means Proxima is 9,300 times further than Neptune.

So let's chalk up to poetic license the fact that HG packs planets into a thimble-sized volume so you can see them and say that pulsing across our NMS system is equivalent to crossing the distance to Neptune. If we do that in 5 minutes we're already at 48x the speed of light. Even at that well-beyond-physics velocity, a real life pulse drive would still take a month (775 hours) to get to Proxima.

So the fact that we cannot get to the next star using pulse drive does seem reasonable.

On a related note, if it takes the hyperdrive 10 seconds to go that 4.25 light years, we are traveling the equivalent of about 13.4 million times the speed of light... Space is big.

FYI: You can see Nutrient Ingestor rewards in the Menu (however see my notes) [Information]

Not sure why HG did this but there is an actual way to see what the nutrient processor buffs are for food you have made/cooked. You just have to view it in a very specific way/menu.

Viewing buffs/rewards: When you go into Menu > Catalogue & Guide, choose Materials and Items.
Then on the left menu choose Cooking.

By viewing cooking/food this way you can see the actual Nutrient Processor effects!!

HOWEVER, if you go into the Catalogue & Guide > Recipes, you can't see said effects and just how to make it or what it gives you if you just eat/consume it. Also the same way via the Recipe book at a Nutrient Processor. Weird mechanic, just a heads up as a Space Baker that just stumbled upon this today.

This game is PERFECT but I just WISH the game had a good coop interaction. [Discussion]

I used to play with my friends. They dont play anymore because they kinda got bored of the game. But this is my comfort game so i come back to it once every few moments.

We did something together where me and one of my friends farmed 2 different resource then we combine them together to make an expensive tradable resource to earn more money. That was actually fun like a space farming simulator. But that was the only thing we could do good.
I wish there was mission we could do coop or something related to base building where we can both own the base terminal.

That being said i am more interested in Light No Fire too since its being shown too much of the multiplayer aspects. Also since we got new technology from light no fire such as dynamic water, i think there is a possibility No Mans Sky will also bring some multiplayer elements from that game too.

Take the Halcyon Journey [Screenshot]

So, after coming back to this game after its overhaul Iā€™ve definitely fallen in love with it, especially for the base building aspect. I have my own head-canon going for my journey across this universe and I try to reflect it in my base builds, figured Iā€™d share it. I invite you to follow my first footsteps back into this game, 8 bases across the Euclid Galaxy, the Halcyon Journey.

1: AMORY PRIME BASE - My main world with my main base, a hub as I reacquainted myself with the game and set out to complete missions. Amory Prime is a beautiful verdant world, earthly blue skies and colorful autumnal like alien foliage, occasionally humidity thunderstorms can be safely watched from behind the glass windows of this relaxing base. Stop by and claim a piece of this paradise for yourself.

2: BONSAI BASE - A small base made on one of the first more extreme mountainous worlds I came across. Built primarily for playing around with my exocraft, Iā€™ve since moved on to build better bases for my exocraft fun.

3: GEFORTHA FRONT - My first encounter with a titan worm was here, I built a base in the style of a hunterā€™s cantina. I like how the topography of this world has realistic mountains that descend into valleys with swamp-like lakes but the atmosphere wasnā€™t my favorite, I drop by sometimes to drop off some fossils.

4: HALCYON TRADE OUTPOST - One of my goals in returning to this game in its improved state was to make contact with the hub worlds, it seems there are plenty these days. This base is built on a moon orbiting a planetary neighbor of Hub world Arhu. A portion of the base is built onto the backside of a trading outpost supplying a little contraband to the system, my first try at building into existing structures.

5: HALCYON WAYPOINT 01 - In my journey I needed to complete several missions from the Nexus to get the Living Ship egg and other building supplies and on...

Galaxy Map no more Path for Atlas Station and Black Holes? [Question]

Hi, since the Beacon Update there is no Path shown when i select Atlas Station or Black Hole.
Selecting Galaxy Core still shows a Path where i can select the next system.
The only way to reach an Atlas Station or Black Hole is to select it in Free Explore mode.

Is it just me or a known bug?

I love the Vyā€™Keen [Discussion]

Iā€™m 30 hours in, and very impressed with this game. Iā€™m still discovering entirely new features and mechanics, but what Iā€™ve found is I really like the Vyā€™Keen people. Something about them is sort of cute to me in a weird way. I liked their design, I like when they go like Grah! Death! Death! Death! And the way they refer to the player as a pathetic, weak-minded interloper is just really funny to me.

As Iā€™ve progressed through the game I found myself spending most of my time in Vyā€™Keen-controlled systems, talking to every NPC so I can grab words and understand their language. I figured it made sense to specialize at least at first, so I ignored the guilds and just did all the Vyā€™Keen quests in space stations to raise my standing. Eventually it got to the point where I only really interact with other races if I have to. I made myself a stylish Vyā€™Keen in the appearance modifier, of course. It breaks my heart when I tell them the wrong word and my standing decreases because I offended or provoked them accidentally.

What more can I do to ingratiate myself to the Vyā€™Keen people? Are there special Vyā€™Keen ships or something? I do have a settlement with Vyā€™Keen residents, we have made some impossible decisions and incurred massive debt.

Atlas Stone NMS version 1.0? [Question]

Any Original 1.0 version players can tell me what happens when I get 10 of these Atlas Stones from the 1st quest? Is there an exchange with Atlas giving me a choice of new galaxy? Does Atlas take me to Euclid's center? I know there ate 2 colored lines in Galactic map so far - Yellow to the center, purple to Atlas 'path'. I know I can buy them, already had more than 10 on another recent save but I hadn't started following Atlas from the very beginning on that save. (Already have hundreds of hours on PC with version 5.74 latest, but this is on PS4 now more fun/challenging and visually mind-blowing. :-) Thanks for any tips, and 'Spoilers' seems like s moot point.

Settlement stuck on the same Citizen Request [Bug]

Every time I come back to my Autophage settlement, they ask if I can let them add Public Artworks.

I've lost track of how many times I've said yes, and unfortunately the buff doesn't clone itself, so I'm not really getting anything done with this settlement anymore. And it still has some negatives to clear out...

Things to do after the purge. [Question]

Finished my largest build ever! (Finally) [Fan Work]

Took about a month to build this giant treehouse. Itā€™s maybe not my best build, probably not my favorite, but it was definitely the most work. Just over 10,000 pieces.

Iā€™ve never put this much effort into a build.

Half way through the build the tree actually disappeared. With the help of a fellow traveler the tree was retrieved!

The base is on a swamp moon. So, the weather (scratch that), evvvvverything is trying to kill you on this moon. Made it way tougher to build. Not sure how people go about this outside of creative mode?

Also!!! This Friday and Saturday night (July 26th-27th), I will be having an open house from 9pm to midnight eastern standard time. Iā€™ll just be at the build hanging out. I will let travelers comb through the build unbothered.

If you visit the base without me there youā€™ll only see 30% of the build.

As far as I can tell performance isnā€™t too bad. Iā€™m on Xbox. Down by the greenhouse area it gets a little sluggish but otherwise not too bad. Iā€™ve had bases at 3000 pieces mess with my console far worse.

Can we please get an update where your whole freighter, fleet, and squadron actually shoots at the enemies around you and actually do damage? [Discussion]

Yeah I get we can solo beam them all but, whatā€™s the whole point of having a whole battalion with you just for them to do nothing at all to the enemies chasing you?

Ik sometimes maybe 1 or 2 squadron members start helping but they do jack shit with damage. Maybe once in a blue moon ONE frigate will help you and do maybe 0.00000000000000026 damage to your enemy..

Imagine a full blow fight with your fleet against a pirate fleet. Lasers and plasma cannons being shot all over the place like a Star Wars battle. Your freighter has a chance to be blown up and you lose then you either have to repair your freighter to use it or you lose it all. Your squadron actually flying around chasing pirates or sentinels and everyone actually does dmg.

Also can we get the ability to give ships to friends or freighters. Maybe for freighters can we get maybe like 5-6 new looks on the docking stations and the captains room.

Ik itā€™s most likely not that simple and a lot will have to be done but, hey, itā€™s worth a shot. throw that patch in beta and let us test it

Gifts in the anomaly. [Discussion]

This is just an appreciation message to those strangers Iā€™ve met in the anomaly! (Sorry if Iā€™ve used the wrong flair).

I know thereā€™s two different points of view about gifts, but as a somewhat new player (60 or so hours played on steam, attempted playing on switch and ps4), I love and appreciate the gifts! Someone gifted me an egg that I hatched and I love! People have gifted me trade goods that helped me buy a better ship! Because of peopleā€™s kindness Iā€™ve tried being a better traveller and have gifted eggs and trade goods to others.

I like to go to the anomaly and look at all the different ships, and when I see someone with the initial ship I hunt them down and drop a little something to them!

So far Iā€™m loving the little community! Iā€™m still working up the courage to accept the group invites but to all those kind travellers, thank you!

Buying and selling ships. [Discussion]

You know you can extract upgrades from ships you are selling. Well how about this idea, save those upgrades and when you come to sell a S class ship, before you do, install those upgrades you are not using in them. I think one would get a better price from the scrapping. Has anyone tried this out, I am going to shot it a give to see if it works as I think it does.

Purple system planets related question [Question]

I wish i could destroy planets. [Discussion]

There is little else to be said here. I just really wish I could destroy planets. Turn star systems into floating debris. Hold litteral core resources. I wish to become a devastation and want it to be felt throughout the galaxy. I want the farthest reaches of the galaxy to whisper tales of the boogie man who devours entire world's. Who leaves blank marks on the galaxy map, so far on the other end that I'm known only as a horror story to scare the innocent. And then all they see is their moon being destroyed, revealing to them the truth of the story, and that its much too late.

After a bit of a grind, I finally managed to customize my Dread-Pirate character to my exact liking today. I wanted to share and would love to see your piratical travellers as well!

My Dread-Pirate, Admiral of the Black character is a reanimated Korvax foot in a fish bowl, out for revenge against the First Spawn and all remaining Gek. From aboard the freighter 'Void Mother's Vengeance' and with the aid of a combined fleet of Living Frigates, Korvax battleships and Pirate Cruisers, Gek fleets are terminated with prejudice.

Multiplayer and visiting specific locations [Question]

Hey guys! I'm a new player with a couple hours in the game and I also got a friend who started playing. I was wondering how I can join their planet online and play/ help collect resources, do missions and etc together. The information I see online is kind of confusing so I was hoping for direct answers here for more clarity. šŸ˜Š

Since I would also like to travel to planets with special coordinates, would I need to progress more with the story to get the portal glyphs or would there be a better way? How do I apply the coordinates I receive and is this also necessary to visit a friend? Appreciate all the help!

VR Hotas + Index Controller not switching automatically [Question]

Hello everyone! I was able to bind my HOTAS via XOutput where it is seen as Xbox 360 controller. It works when I start the game in VR but as soon as I switch to my Index controller I cannot switch it back to the HOTAS. Is there anyone here that knows how to solve this problem? I've seen videos on YouTube where as soon as you put down the controller and press buttons on the HOTAS, it would switch automatically but that doesn't happen in my case. Thank you so much in advance!

Is there some way to switch ships in your own base when you're not on the ground? [Question]

This has been annoying me for a while now.

So I have two landing pads.
One where my primary ship is landed.
The second one is empty.

I'd expect to be able to use the second pad to summon a second ship. But no, it wants to summon my primary ship, and it wants me to pay one nav unit, even though my primary ship is literally sitting there 2 meters away.

Fine, I'll summon the ship on a bit of ground. Then summon the other one on the pad.
Nope.. 'cause appearantly wooden floors don't count as surface that ships can be summoned on?

This is really annoying behaviour. Since my base is on a platform, is there some way around this?
Cause the way it is now, I'd have to effectively clear space for two landing spots on bare ground, then switch, and then resummon (or land) on the pad.. which kinda defeats the point of switching ships quickly.

Screeny attached. Left my primary pad. Right my hauler that I summoned on a bare bit of land that barely fit. Middle my wooden floor where I want to summon the second ship.

I tried googling a bit but it just comes up with 'how summon your ship with x button' tutorials...

A few new player issues [Question]

I just got this game yesterday on my Switch 2, and I have a few questions.

Whenever I try to mine something with the multi-tool, the FOV zooms in really close to the point it becomes hard to see where I'm aiming at. It also doesn't change back unless I try to sprint. Is there any setting or something to tweak this?

The game keeps crashing after I quit to the home screen, is this normal? It's getting annoying. The reason i'm quitting out in the first place is because it pauses the game...

...But is there any ingame way to pause this game? AFAIK it can be played offline and singleplayer, so by intuition there should be a way to pause it as well

Found a good home in Eissenstam, working on my palace lol [Screenshot]

Found this planet in Eissenstam, mild weather, but has active sentinels, electrical anomalies every so often, and these blue flying gas bag creatures that fart blue clouds everywhere and won't leave me alone.

Other than that I love the look of it so I've decided to start building my home here. Got a lot of work to do to get it up to snuff, but that's the fun.

Destroying enemy ships should reward ship parts for the ship fabricator [Discussion]

i think it would be convenient if this was added, rather then wasting time waiting at space stations, trade/archive posts or finding them crashed.

might as well allow us to gain random ship parts from destroying ships in combat, obviously make it a low drop chance like a 5-10% drop chance due to their value.

another small suggestion is allow us to craft the ship parts we want, but lock the blueprints behind a questline or a new research tree at the anomaly.

Terrain Edits? [Question]

If I have terrain edits outside my base. And I reach the terrain edit limit. Will it undo the terrain in the base or only terrain outside the base. As long as my base terrain edits doesn't reach its limit, it shouldn't regenerate the land correct? Regardless of the edits outside the base.

Resetting to a nearby location not working [Question]

Iā€™m doing the awakenings mission where you have to follow the automatic guidance to find warp fuel and it says that Iā€™m too far and I have to reset to nearby structures in the log and when I do that it just gives me the same message. Iā€™m just asking for what Iā€™m supposed to do bc rn I have no idea how to fix this.

First time seeing this. Rare planet I think. [Screenshot]

Dissonance planet I think? The Sentinels flying around are all purple and covered in crystals too. The symbols are in the screenshot if anyone wants to check it out! I might build a base somewhere here cause I want to figure out what's going on. I already saw something called a dissonance injector but I'm not too far into the story so no spoilers pls. It also reminds me of home cause it's consistently 145 degrees (I live in Arizona šŸ˜‚) I'd just love to interact with anyone who doesn't just wanna kill me haha. So build a base or outpost if you wanna resource mine together or hunt Sentinels.

Oh! Also idk why but my spawn has been really good. This side of Euclid has a ton of paradise and tropical planets (I don't remember if they are in this star system but a few back and around for sure.) I've found three paradise planets since spawn so far and I'm only 50 something hours in.

Paradise planets [Question]

So far I love the game and I do look forward to paradise planets. I did find one, a little moom that had nothing but purple fields of grasslands, with rolling hills and friendly creatures (i befriended a TRexish looking one and am happy to have a dinosaur). but anyways it was..... boring... beautiful with the planet overhead and what not but .. boring with no weather, no creatures popping out attacking you, no sentinels just zen fields of purple grass. is this truly paradise or just a empty planet thats left over from the beginning?

A Trace of Metal not showing on my log? [Bug]

I had this metal shell the sentinels attacking the settlement drop. I got no idea what was that, after reading some posts online I see that's was part of a mission, so I went to this Tethys dude in the Anomaly station, handed it over, and I got the updated objectives, BUT those objectives and the mission itself is not showing on the Quest log... What's now?

Weird behavior: thing gone after next login [Question]

I am rather new to the game and recently saw some unexpected behavior: I found a crashed ship on a planet landed next to entered and wanted to repair it. Since it was late I saved the game and left the task for the next login. When I started the game and loaded the last save this bloody crashed ship was gone. What the heck happened? Is this normal?

Early glitched planet? [Screenshot]

Iā€™m fairly new to the game. But on my second or third warp, I found this planet I called ā€œGolden Gravatino Gooseā€. Aside from the aggressive sentinel activity, which I can easily evade, these gravitino groups keep spawning. Like I can fill my inventory up. Sell them all for 12-20million units as a whole. Then flu back down rinse repeat.

Is this normal? Like I can even walk away about three or four hills and come back to a new set of them after I had already harvested the area!

Etymology: ā€œVenatorā€ meaning ā€œHunterā€, ā€œHetimillariā€ meaning ā€œHostilityā€ in Gek

Planet: Ebets 96/F8 of the Euclid Galaxy

Genders: Prime/Non-uniform

Diet: Carnivore

An apex predator who attacks on sight. Those with a prime gender often have tall keratin crests at the end of their snouts, along with tail feathers at the tip. Non-uniforms meanwhile lack a crest and feathers, but instead have spikes poking out of their back and head.

Life cycle data is scarce as juveniles are rare to come by. Curiously, the few that have been documented are shown to develop lungs after birth.

(Hi I like coming across dinosaurs in NMS and decided to try and make art of one of them, somewhat in the style of ARK dossiers ig? Idk but I wanted to try a different ā€œstyleā€ ig as opposed to my usual art, this one being more ā€œmessyā€ n stuff. I should also note that the traveler next to the dino is a new save I made and I actually discovered this one on another save. This one is meant to be a scientist discovering all sorts of creatures tho as opposed to my old save which is just me messing around LOL. Also sorry if the portal coordinates donā€™t work!!)

(Also, I might do more of these in the future, but maybe with more types of creatures besides dinosaur looking ones too. Blob dossier could be real one dayā€¦)

Waiting for Sean to give us clues for the next expedition/update is like: [Discussion]

Been really craving an expedition and Sean has been awfully quiet on the socials. Seems like forever ago when we were all traversing the stars for fossils together, plus my wife started playing when Beacon dropped and I want to go through an expedition with her. The one year anniversary of Worlds Part 1 recently passed and I was hoping weā€™d get something around this time. Iā€™ll continue to find cool (and sometimes hot) places to sit and contemplate existence, waiting for a Murray puzzle.

PS: I know this is a fairly normal timeframe between updates, not to mention HG had to work, and continue to work on, those patches.

Sentinel Rifle Bug Status? [Question]

I searched but couldnā€™t find any updated information. Is the spawn bug still there for the sentinel rifles in the camps? I know the camp begins with an ā€œAā€ but I am at work. Lol. I want to find a better multi tool as I am still using my starter tool.
