@main pulsar here's the thing though, if you look at that 3rd pic where the ramp goes into the snow...there's two sections of ramp below that, that are completely covered...because when I laid them they touched the ground that was there when I arrived at the location....I literally never touched the terrain modification tool once when I built any part of the base last night

@slender field curious about something. I just tested. I landed on said corrupted planet. and it had the same color atmosphere there. then i took off and landed on another planet, was clear skies, and when i left, the effect was gone in space. so i approached the corrupted planet again but stayed in space. it happened again as I got close to it. I AM WONDERING, if your Full Planet Super Ship Teleporter mod, makes the game think you're closer than you are? so its grabbing the atmosphere effects of a planet you may be next to if you're close enough.
i am also oblivious to game design and mod development, just thinking outloud

The game is actually starting to look pretty damn good in VR these days with playable framerates. Note that this is from the left eye being sent to the headset, so it's not going to look quite as good as photo mode on regular monitor... but graphics like this at 85hz avg is such a huge step from where it was in VR two weeks ago.

Completed Aqua base, all 4 tubes spread across the map and connect to mining + gas hotspots
If you wonder how I got so many aqua tubes I used a mod to lower the cost ^

On the bottom there's 8 small rooms that are only reachable trough water
the ones you see with the multiple doors
those are all farms at the moment
no ladders attached to the upper room, to avoid any bugs so i use doors and in the middle of the base there 's a dropdown
Pretty much it for now, aside from the floating room in the sky with 8 landing pads and a short range teleporter to the water

I was able to buy most of the stuff from the silver vendor while joined with a friend who was using mods. Only had enough silver for 4 of the heads and armor. While with him my water base also turned into a desert world for some reason.
