Currently working on making all creatures of all sizes feedable, scannable, and destructable. Also adding whales and sharks. Already re-did the anims. Then underwater npc ships flying, crashed ubnderwater ships, planetary battles, and bigger space battles.

Yeah, the rain would feel better if it felt quicker... HOWEVER one can argue that on a planet (biome) with a thicker atmosphere, rain would fall noticeably slower @solar violet

Adjusting the other e3 hud style in real time atm through the executable. Still need to adjust the overheat bar.
I think I like this one better though personally, but need to adjust it slightly more.
I can personally see why they changed it. While the old one looks cooler, itself, it's not easy to read.
The one you are using has a black tint to its background, which makes dark/black letters less readable. If I were you I would make it either fully transparent or (like in the new versions of Windows 10 and iOS) make it blurry (gaussian blur? ), but not darker
Either that or make the icons and letters white

You can actually just open up the texture in PS, use the paint bucket, and splash a bit of color on it with low opacity and it will fix that. The font coloring is an RGB float and can be adjusted. However, the E3 font style could be made bolder perhaps. The top screenshot doesn't have that alike the bottom yet though (regarding the visibility fix)

This is still an early WIP, but since I found a bunch of E3 planets, and others (hidden in various places) I'm recreating them, and some things re-importing. (Bit by bit) Still working on various densities, palettes and other things that I will need to translate.
I found ACHAIA, BALARI V, YAVIL, PHLEK, LOUIL, Yzheleuz, Sugas-Uomi, Obekinovor/OBEK, METUK/Metyukhosl, ARMCHAIR/Amchalitamash, New Eridu, (I believe Oria V), and several others.

That stuff is super confusing at first to work with; at least it was for me. It isn't anymore though. It requires a lot of testing... because a lot of things will cause a crash if not done right. It also requires translating certain structs or blocks of xml from E3/pre-release related files after studying them; and then integrating that stuff made by Hello Games into custom files in a way that makes sense. Then it requires improvising a bit by scripting certain things from scratch, using a bit of basic math, and also cross comparison.... then linking those files to various places.... for only one planet. But will be worth it in the end.
I'm finally familiar enough with the xml scripts to be able to look at them and visualize pretty well what it may look like in-game based off of those pre-set rules. Yesterday, I was reading through something and figured it had to be "ACHAIA" from the ps4 gameplay trailer, and then ended up finding a string named "ETHAEDAIR", then googled "ETHAEDAIR"

It's sand. In some areas it's really smooth, in some areas swirvy, in some areas glistening from the sun, in some areas covered in cloud from the sand dunes hills touching the low atmosphere.

Yeah, that's the white sand glistening that I'm referrng to (from the lighting). It's also a specific in-game sand pallette.

The Oasis doesn't seem to have plutonium, Thanium9, the usual stuff too
And if only some of them do it is a 2 minute walk in between so yea

The aim is to keep/increase exploration incentive without breaking gameplay or the challenge for the most part. But in some areas, I have made changes where it could accomodate gameplay (imo). Like, on that planet in the vid... there may be no plutonium, or thamium9 visible (though there is actually) but there's sparse iron and carbon. :)
Each unique biome has been adjusted, with prevention to get stuck. But when it's released in time... any feedback is appreciated. ๐

I love NMS with or w/o mods. However, I've primarily been playing on the 1.0 (RC1) version for ideas
To get a clear picture of what some things or planets were like
Take snaps, and re-create it
There are a lot pre-release biomes scattered (hidden) in the files, and will be able to actually import/translate/transfer them for the most part.
But for those that aren't... like, "Vesta Prime", will need to re-create them from scratch. (Shouldn't be hard for me)

This is what "inAir" omegon looks like, supposedly only spawns on extreme weather lush planets, gives 1 omegon and drops 2 rolling blocks that each gives 4-5 omegon

And this is what "Ground" Omegon looks like, supposed to spawn on extreme weather barren planets only, explodes with a big flash and gives ~135 omegon
is it really removed?
because I see nothing saying it can't spawn here
it is defined the exact same way as calium and radnox
just for lush and barren instead

im doing some exploring of extreme weather lush now
maybe its being weird like how the lush trees are
"forest" lush can spawn, just absurdly rare
all i know about wild omegon is that its very rare to come across it in wild..
i have yet to find a wild omegon
tho sometimes i do find some murrines, which is also a rare occurence
btw, murrine can spawn on any non-extreme planet
but it got a probability of 0.125, and share that with 4 others, so its like a 5th of that value
only 1 gets picked out of them

its one of those 5 that share the probability with murrine
together with altar vortex cube, tentacle graviton orb, and clam pearl
well, they were worth gathering back at launch, but now there are much better ways of making money and stuff is more expensive

lol, photon cannon projectile size gets adjacency bonus aswell
thats "only" at 2.5 on the non-ballista, I couldn't see anything with it higher, and the projectile moves too fast for photo mode

Finaly found an extreme barren planet on my normal save, now to hunt for omegon
I wonder, both lush and barren got no hazard outside storms
and while they got red text weather
they dont have an extreme warning
maybe they dont count as extreme for the spawning, and thats why it doesn't work?

confirmed from the files that the floating omegon only spawns on extreme weather lush biome, and the ground version of omegon only spawn on extreme weather barren biomes
I've seen murrine once in my playthough
but not sure if it works or not, all the others work fine and spawns where they are set to spawn
btw, as I posted earlier, radnox is hot and cold, calium is toxic and radioactive, extreme weather for both
murrine is low chance on any non-extreme biome

to disable the extreme weather check
so yeah. the extreme weather boolean is broken on barren and lush

non-extreme planets of any biome got a rare chance of having murrine
still no luck on finding a proper extreme barren or lush
found 1 that was high enough temp to drain hazard, but it was just a high roll on the temp1 range, and not the temp4 range that is used for extreme
But but but survival got more extreme planets...
Yet planets are the same with what they got...

Now now not every unity game is a bad game
However it is very easy to use so the amount of people who don't know what they are doing is very high
- all the good games in Unity are with a payed version of it, so you won't even see its from unity. The only time you do is when it's a crap game in the free version (not that you can't make good games in the free version)
Subnautica is fine, but some people just put a blue fog and that's it when they make a look for "underwater"

Some biomes can now have an infinite variety of colors, with new additional expanded color palettes.
The default palettes will be in there, all of the color pallettes from all Atlas Rises and all previous versions of NMS, E3 Pallettes that I re-created based off of official HG pre-release files, and a few other pallettes that I setup that allow of an infinite variety including multi-colored water and heavy air effects.
