It's ok @distant tulip - I have NEVER stumbled accross one my entire travels. Which actually says a lot as to how well they hid them. For what its worth, the theory of finding them via the ruins does work! I found one on my homeworld doing that technique and currently have a beacon stationed at it, ready to use! ^-^ ((if you don't know the technique, basically go to a ruin and look for the wirey glyph symbol on it - looks like a reticle - and then take off from the ship and follow in a straight line where that reticle is pointing. It helps if you have the ruins marked as a place to find so you can keep the ruins safely centered behind you.))
BTW - that's the ONLY one I found - and I had to go out of my way to find it. Never found one "Stumbling around"
Oh, and do note there's currently no (?) marker indicating it, so don't bother trying to find it with that.

I didn't see any @charred crow ! Normally when I come into land there's some clouds (I used to think it was to block pop in?) but I've not seen any at all!
I went into photo mode and turned cloud density down and nothign seemed to change either!

all you have to do is go to a monilith and one of the options is "FIND PORTAL" you just need like an offering, but im in creative so i can just press it and every planet should have one
