I keep a mini Insulating Gel farm on my frieghter.

I also have a mobile GTT with my builder.

In case I'm far away from my base and don't really feel like wasting the iron to get to the space station.

It's nice because with every jump, the possible stock varies a little bit.

After the Pathfinder update, there was that glitch which made freighter prices much cheaper than they should've been, so I ended up trading that freighter for one exactly like it, but with 10 extra slots for no extra charge.

Well the initial game before foundation is like you start on a planet -> repair ship -> explore other worlds -> warp to another system -> explore -> warp -> explore -> warp and etcetcetc.... after foundation its much more better
