It's weird cuz as a woman, in my field, I also felt a need to prove myself. To prove I was a great developer. So I worked extra hard. Then I'd get burnt out. And work was just not enjoyable, even though I loved the core of my field.

I saw an episode of Criminal UK on Netflix. The interrogator's take at the end, it rung true to me. Her boss was trying to get her to step up and essentially do more work. But she knew she wanted a healthier, more balanced personal life, and she declined. And I loved how she was able to measure when it was too much, without the need to prove to anyone she was good enough.

Trust me. It's never "enough" for bosses, especially when the work load is uneven. Make sure you prioritize YOUR health (physical, mental, emotional). Cuz there just isn't enough money in the world to repay personal time, that chips away at your health. You're still young. But as we grow older and more health issues pop up, you're like, "ummm why did I work so hard for <insert boss name or company>"? Was it really worth it? When I could've been spending more time taking more care of me.

I think it depends on the type of party. Sometimes places can be a bit unsafe so people can end up being over protective. Besides that sometimes people come off as possessive when it's really nervousness. Like I normally 100% stick around Arc when we go places, but I also have social anxiety nyaShrug

Here's the other thing that's crazy in hot places. The AC is turned up so high, you have to carry around a jacket with you everywhere. So your body has to be constantly adjusting its core temperature cuz that just ain't natural. It even affects your immune system.

Life is the river in which the water of time flows. You're a piece of lint floating in the water. If you keep yourself loose enough, nothing will stop you from flowing and you'll eventually drain into the ocean of... Afterlife?
But if you keep yourself tight, you're bound to hit a rock or any other stationary object and you'll end up being stuck to it. Either a little time, or a lot of time, maybe even forever. 
And the water of life will slowly erode you.
You'll then get detached to that rock, but a part of you is gone.
This process might keep happening till you are reduced to a mere grain of near nothingness.
Sure, nothing won't stop you now, but well.. You're a grain now.
Don't let the water of time erode you by delving into the past. But don't go too fast by thinking of the future either or else you'll hit a rock REALLY hard and a big part of you might just break off, you know?
Float with the waters at it's pace. The present. The present matters the most.```
