Assuming by “leap” you mean moving/upgrading your OpenClaw setup smoothly, the low-drama path is:

  1. First grab your current version:
openclaw --version
openclaw status --all
  1. Back up the whole state dir before changing anything. Usually that is ~/.openclaw/, but openclaw status will confirm the actual path.
openclaw gateway stop
cd ~
tar -czf openclaw-state-before-leap.tgz .openclaw
