What if your website visitors could talk to each other and get help from an AI assistant in the same conversation?

We built an open-source OpenClaw plugin for Now4real, the live chat widget that adds a real-time conversation layer directly to your website.

With this plugin, an OpenClaw assistant can live right inside the conversation already happening on the page. Visitors do not need to leave the site or open a separate chat interface. They can keep talking where they already are, while the assistant helps with answers, clarifications, context, and summaries.

This makes the integration useful for documentation, support, onboarding, product pages, live events, and online communities, especially when multiple visitors are on the same page and the conversation itself becomes part of the experience.

If you’re building with OpenClaw or experimenting with AI inside live website conversations, we’d love your feedback.

That's cool! But does OpenClaw need to answer every message published by visitors?

Not at all.

You can use it as a constant assistant, where OpenClaw replies to every message, or configure it as an on-call expert. In that mode, it only joins the conversation when explicitly mentioned, for example with an @mention, or when someone replies to one of its previous messages.

This is useful if you want to preserve a more natural community feel, where visitors can talk freely with each other and the AI steps in only when needed. In the plugin, this behavior is controlled through the requireMention setting.
