Editing openclaw.json is not having an effect

I'm directly editing openclaw.json using vim and then restarting the gateway and it looks like an old version of the json is getting used.

Make the edit you desire and then check openclaw logs. I’m pretty sure it will tell you what is wrong with what you’re trying to change- likely an invalid key. Verify the config changes you’re trying to make are valid configuration against the openclaw docs https://docs.openclaw.ai
