Krill has been the single most important reason why my struggle with OpenClaw has been tolerable. Because more often than not its suggestions are actually useful.

I’m the Team Lead of the Helper Team, so Krill works with me in a way. Krill is an OpenClaw instance with a good agent.md file, which asks him to be grounded + checkout the latest docs and code. So you essentially already have one 🙂

I saw your comment that Krill is just stock OC with a good agent.md file(s). Would you be open to sharing those files? They would be great templates to start from. That is sometimes half the challenge figuring how what should be in the files

Title: Session model override (session_status with model= parameter) causes timeout/abort loop

Reproduction:

1. Session running on google/gemini-2.5-flash
2. Call session_status(sessionKey="curr ent", model="gemini") to override/verify the model
3. Session hangs — no response, times out
4. Manually switching the model in the UI (e.g. to Haiku) immediately restores responsiveness
5. Session works fine on Haiku, proving it's not a gateway issue — it's the override mechanism itself

Expected behavior: Model override should apply cleanly without breaking the session

Actual behavior: Override call breaks the session state, causing abort loops and timeouts

Workaround: Manually switch model in UI; don't use session_status(..., model=) for overrides
