That warning is usually non-fatal: update tried to refresh the shell completion cache, spawned /usr/bin/node, and that sub-process hit the 30s timeout.

First, can you paste:

openclaw --version
openclaw status

Then try the completion step manually:

time openclaw completion --write-state

If that hangs/fails, also paste:

#error on update
