On OpenClaw 2026.3.24 — when we removed an agent entry from agents.list in openclaw.json while its agentDir still existed on disk, the gateway started without errors but Telegram and Discord channels silently failed to come up. No error in logs, no warning during startup. Adding the agent back to agents.list restored channel startup immediately.
Is this expected behavior when an agentDir exists but the agent isn't in agents.list? Or a bug in the startup sequence? Happy to share logs if helpful.
