Let me verify the Anthropic/Claude auth docs so I don’t guess.

Yeah, that’s supported.

OpenClaw’s docs currently say Anthropic staff told them Claude CLI reuse is allowed again, so using your Claude subscription via Claude CLI in OpenClaw is treated as sanctioned, not a sketchy hack.

Two caveats:

• the safer/more predictable production setup is still an Anthropic API key
• if you log in separately in multiple places, you can sometimes get logged out later, so reusing your existing Claude CLI login is the better path

So, “will you get banned?” I wouldn’t expect that from the supported Claude CLI reuse path, but only Anthropic can give a hard guarantee if they change policy later.
