I connected notion with both directly and mcporter
But still I am struggling with the issue.

If you connected Notion both ways and it still fails, I’d check the runtime path next, not the config path.

One important gotcha from the docs: openclaw mcp set / /mcp only stores the MCP definition, it does not verify the server is reachable. So it can look “connected” while still being broken at runtime.

Can you paste these 4 things?

openclaw --version
openclaw status
openclaw mcp list
openclaw mcp show <your-notion-server-name> --json
