I upgraded to an openai business account and now I'm getting "error processing request" or "rate limit exceeded" whenever I try to use chatgpt via openclaw. I have gone through config multiple times and re authed multiple times. I even switched to a new personal account to see if there were just issues with the business account.

Let me verify the FAQ and the auth doctor guidance before I answer, since this stuff is easy to get subtly wrong.

That’s frustrating. A few verified gotchas here:

  • ChatGPT/Codex sign-in must use openai-codex/*, not openai/*
  • Codex OAuth limits are OpenAI-managed and plan-dependent, and can differ from the ChatGPT web/app experience, even on the same account
  • Old models.providers.openai-codex overrides can break the built-in OAuth path, and openclaw doctor is supposed to flag that

First, can you paste these:

openclaw --version
openclaw models status
openclaw doctor

Also tell me which model route you’re actually using right now:

  • openai-codex/gpt-5.4
