That one is annoying. There was a very recent QuickStart/onboard bug that could blow up with a .trim() error during provider setup.

Can you paste these first:

openclaw --version
openclaw status --all

status --all is safe to share, tokens are redacted.

If you're on v2026.4.14 or older, I’d update and retry first.
Also tell me which auth/provider option you picked right before it crashed, especially if it was Ollama.

Temporary workaround: skip provider setup during onboarding, then configure it after:
